Chapter 223 The Burned Contract
Although Sherlock did not mention the question of Batty, he told Kingsley about the traction hand.
"I connected the traction hand to one of the wizards who escaped, but the location was just revealed and the contact was disconnected in a moment. Someone among them should have discovered the problem. The last place was in a small town in the north of Derbyshire. You can send someone to investigate now, but there is a high probability that nothing will be discovered."
Kingsley was naturally very concerned about Sherlock's words. He immediately went out and ordered two Aurors who could move directly to Derbyshire to investigate the situation, and then returned to the interrogation room.
"Where did you get the thing that pulls your hand?" he asked frowned.
Sherlock didn't tell the truth, and spread his hands and made an excuse.
"I bought it from an unknown wizard in the Overturned Alley. You have to hide it from me. I don't want to have multiple charges of reselling black magic items on my head."
Kingsley nodded.
"Even if you are discovered, it's nothing. You use black magic items to help the Ministry of Magic do serious things, and no one will hold you accountable."
"A civil servant after all, he speaks differently."
After that, Kingsley made a few brief records for them, and after applying to the above, he released Sherlock and Shilk out of the Ministry of Magic.
After coming out of the Ministry of Magic, Sherlock's face, which was originally quite relaxed, gradually became gloomy.
Shilk noticed his changes.
"What happened?"
Sherlock frowned.
"The reason why the traction hand is included in the black magic item is not only because the materials it makes require human hands, but the traction magic attached to this thing is almost impossible to be discovered. But now the contact is broken, which means that someone has discovered the problem with Bati at a glance."
"Being able to have such eyesight means that he has recovered some of his strength." He murmured to himself.
Then he turned to look at Shilk.
"You help me report my safety to Weasley's house, and just say I'm fine, I'm going to Hogwarts now."
Shilk nodded and moved away using the phantom.
After she left, Sherlock did not stay in place for too long, and came directly to Hogsmeade and returned to Hogwarts Castle along Hogsmeade.
There is still a week left to study, and the castle is very deserted. He walked up the stairs and went straight to the stone monster on the third floor.
"Is Professor Dumbledore in the office now?"
The stone monster did not make a sound, but was silent for a moment, as if asking someone in the office.
After a few seconds, it jumped aside, revealing a way forward for Sherlock.
Sherlock walked all the way along the spiral staircase to the end, and arrived at the eighth floor and pushed open the door to Dumbledore's office.
Dumbledore was holding a letter at this time, looking at the contents of the letter with a serious expression. It was not until Sherlock came in that his face soothed.
"Wow, I just got the news that an accident happened in the Quidditch World Cup. I was wondering if you would come to me today, but now you are here."
Sherlock did not relax as he showed. He restrained the expression on his face, making it impossible to see his thoughts at the moment and sat opposite Dumbledore.
“I saw Barty Crouch Jr. in the auditorium.”
Sherlock's words made Dumbledore's face solemn. He put down the letter in his hand and signaled that Sherlock would continue.
"You should know that I mastered a strange magic from what my mother left behind. I used this magic to find Baddy Crouch, a little in the invisible cloak, in the audience of the finals. He was surrounded by the house elf of the Crouch family, and he was surrounded by him."
They are all smart people, and there is no need for extra explanation. Just by emphasizing this matter like this, Dumbledore can hear the problem.
"Barty knew that his son was still alive and kept hiding him." Dumbledore said in a deep voice.
"And Bati's condition is very wrong. He seems to be controlled by old Bati, and the house elf has been watching him by his side."
"When I went back to the past, I had a grudge between him and I always felt that it was not easy for him to watch the World Cup finals. I followed him after the game."
"The timing of that chaos was clever. Someone was helping Batty to create a chance to escape. He finally succeeded, using a black magic mark on the sky and revolved with three people wearing masks."
Dumbledore spoke softly.
"Death Eater."
"Yes, Death Eaters, they have tattoos with the black demon marks on them, and those masks are the Death Eaters who disappeared after the Black Death disappears and are not liquidated by the Ministry of Magic."
"They wanted to take Batty away with me, and I stopped them, and Batty recognized me and said my mom's name."
When Sherlock said this, he kept staring into Dumbledore's eyes, and he paused for a moment when he said this.
"He told me something unknown to me that you have never wanted to tell me."
Dumbledore's eyes were deep, as if he was deliberately avoiding Sherlock's eyes and tapped the desk surface with his fingers.
"He wants to anger you."
"I don't deny this." Sherlock said calmly, "and he was able to do it successfully. I was really angry, angry and even planned to use the life-seeking curse and put it into action."
Dumbledore frowned immediately.
"You killed them with a life-seeking curse?"
Sherlock took a deep breath.
"Maybe it was the reason why I used the life-seeking curse for the first time. The life-seeking curse I used did not have the effect of directly killing people. They just kept bleeding and did not die. When I was trying to escape, I killed two of them with the transformation technique."
Hearing him say this, Dumbledore's brows stretched out. His eyes looked at Sherlock with complexity, but the most emotions were still relieved.
"Black magic, especially the three unforgivable spells, to successfully use it, requires the user to have infinite malice. Compared with the other two spells, the life-seeking spell is even more so. I am very happy that although you were excited by him and angry inside, you still did not use that spell."
"What happens if you use it?" Sherlock asked calmly.
"It won't be so. Black magic is dangerous, but its erosion of human thoughts cannot be achieved in an instant." Dumbledore's voice was peaceful but extremely solemn. "Many wizards will be immersed in the pleasure of depriving others of their lives for the first time after using the life-seeking curse. They began to be unscrupulous of the use of the life-seeking curse. It was at this time that the black magic eroded their minds."
Sherlock understood what Dumbledore said, but he thought of more.
When using hundreds of magic wands together to use the Guardian Spell, the excessive positive emotions directly infected him completely and affected his thinking.
If he really uses the hundreds of life-seeking curse tonight, what will the negative emotions brought back from him become?
He did not think deeply, but became vigilant. In the future, he tried not to cast multiple magic wands to touch unforgivable spells such as life-seeking curse.
"I want to know, are what he said true?" Sherlock stared at Dumbledore's eyes and calmly asked about his purpose for this trip.
"Catched by Voldemort, tortured into a madman, and then released."
Dumbledore was silent.
He looked at Sherlock and quietly didn't say anything for a long time.
Three minutes later, he stood up from his chair and paced in the office, obviously hesitating.
"Did you kill Bati in the back?" he asked an irrelevant question.
"Kill, but I let someone go." Sherlock didn't hide anything. "The Death Eater took Bati's body away. I wanted to use his body to find the Black Demon's hiding place now, but just got a place, the magic I set on Bati was discovered."
Dumbledore was not surprised by such a result.
If Voldemort really had such a good plan, he wouldn't have such great influence in the magic world.
"Did the Death Eater who escaped to recognize you?"
"He called out my identity."
Sherlock's words seemed to make Dumbledore completely determined. He turned around and walked towards the wall covered with portraits of previous principals, and found an elderly and kind portrait of a witch.
"Dalice, give me that contract."
The kind witch took something out of her robe pocket in the portrait, and then handed it to Dumbledore through the frame.
The old parchment paper magically came out of the frame of the portrait, and Dumbledore reached out and held it in his hand.
Sherlock has been paying attention to Dumbledore's actions. He saw more than a dozen dense names from above, some of which have turned gray and white, while others have dark green ink colors.
After Dumbledore received the contract, he did not mean to show it to Sherlock, but waved his hand to find the Phoenix Fox, who was living on the golden branch behind the door, and handed the parchment paper to its sharp beak.
"Please trouble you, Fox." Dumbledore said softly.
Fox tweeted, as if he had given some response. He took the parchment paper and returned to the golden branch, flapped his wings twice, and then a golden red flame suddenly appeared on his body!
A painful bird song rang out.
The flame instantly swallowed Fox's whole body and the parchment!
"That contract can only be destroyed by the flames generated during the Phoenix's Nirvana. Although Fox has not yet arrived, it can only trouble it to advance Nirvana."
Dumbledore looked at Fox, who had turned into a fireball, and explained softly to Sherlock.
