Chapter 24 Defense Magic

The early morning sun slowly rises along the exterior wall of Hogwarts Castle.

Sherlock got up from bed at six o'clock and prepared to check the last time that he had simulated countless teaching plans before today's class began.

From the time he met Professor McGonagall, he experienced a meeting with the Weasleys and finally arrived at Hogwarts to meet Dumbledore.

Sherlock did not reveal any flaws or strange places from beginning to end.

But these are just appetizers before the real test.

After entering Hogwarts, his Dark Magic Defense Classroom is the most attractive part.

At the school dinner last night, Dumbledore said very bluntly that although he recruited Sherlock into Hogwarts, he still did not trust his teaching ability very much.

The so-called inspection period means that she will definitely pay more attention to Sherlock in the next time.

Sherlock didn't care about his poor performance in class, and was expelled from Hogwarts in anger by Dumbledore.

That would be exactly what he wants.

But bad classroom performance does not represent that Sherlock must show his extremely obvious ignorance of magic, or the defensive magic that he has studied for a long time.

A man who studied at Hogwarts for seven years and graduated with extremely excellent grades, then worked as an Auror for more than a year, devoted himself to two years of defensive magic and wrote books. If he returns to school, he will perform in a mess in his field of best practice.

Unless he has Alzheimer's disease, Dumbledore cannot not doubt this.

So during the two months at home, Sherlock, in addition to focusing on familiarizing himself with the basic spells, spent most of the rest of his time reading the two books on defense magic written by the original owner, and designated relevant teaching plans based on the research direction in the book.

And today is the time to test his achievements.

After preparing all the materials needed for the first grade class, Sherlock went to the auditorium to finish breakfast, and walked into the classroom with books and a tied cloth bag.

Several students had already arrived in the classroom, including Ginny, who had just entered school this year and was assigned to Gryffindor.

Yesterday she was reminded by her only brother, Percy, who seemed to be reliable in school, to come to the classroom earlier to prevent the stairs in the castle from teasing the freshmen and causing them to be late for the first class.

After seeing Sherlock come to the classroom, the little girl was obviously a little excited.

She walked to the podium with a flushed face and bowed respectfully to Sherlock.

"Thank you for sending me a new textbook, Professor Forrest. I left before I could thank you last time. My mother said that after I saw you at school, I must say thank you to you."

Sherlock raised his eyebrows slightly.

Weasley's tutoring is actually quite good, but for some unknown reason, George and Fred are the two troublemakers.

But even the Weasley twins, their nature is not bad.

"With my relationship with your parents, there is no need to thank you for this matter." Sherlock said lightly.

After the incident at Diagon Alley, Ginny also learned about Sherlock's seemingly cold personality. She made a promise that she would study hard next time, and then trotted back to her seat.

There were more and more students in the classroom. Until the class bell rang, Sherlock gently tapped the podium with the tail of the magic wand, signaling that the freshmen who were still chattering below to calm down, he picked up the roster and started to call.

This is the first lesson for the first graders of Ravenclaw and Gryffindor this year.

Most of the students were not sure about the magic of Hogwarts Castle. Even though they rushed to the classroom as early as possible, three students were still late.

"Having a correct concept of time has nothing to do with whether you can become a successful wizard in the future, but it has to do with whether you will be a reliable person."

"Before the class starts, I want to emphasize that I hate students with poor sense of time. This class is your first class since you entered Hogwarts, so I won't punish those who are late, but I don't want to have another next time."

Accompanied by Sherlock's warning, the three students who were put into the classroom, who were late for playing in the castle, did not dare to take a breath, and carefully found an empty seat under the gaze of other students of the two academy and sat down.

After all the students arrived, the class officially began.

Instead of asking them to open the textbook, Sherlock looked at all the little wizards below who looked at him and gave the opening remarks of his first class.

"The Black Magic Defense Class is like the name of the course. This class mainly teaches you the Black Magic Defense."

"The so-called black magic defense technique or defensive magic is actually a very general concept. As long as it is effective in protecting against black magic or evil magic creatures, it can be called defensive magic."

"So defense magic, this does not refer to a general term for a certain type of magic. Even if the famous household cleaning spell "clean up" is used at the right time, it can be called a kind of defense magic."

This broad definition of defensive magic was certainly not proposed by Sherlock, who was a newcomer, but clearly expressed his support for this view in the original owner's book on defensive magic.

The proposer of this view is a wizard who has passed away for more than 300 years, and has now become the mainstream view of the definition of defensive magic in the magic world.

"The course of the Dark Magic Defense is of little use in most cases in your future life, but whenever it needs to work, it is the time to save your life."

"It is precisely because of this that it has become one of the main courses of Hogwarts, and it is also the subject with the most theoretical knowledge, curse and practical operations involved."

"Maybe the professors in each course have different opinions, but I think the Dark Magic Defense class will be the hardest and most interesting course you will learn in Hogwarts in the future."

"In this class, in addition to learning the spell class against enemies and defense spells, you must also remember the complex knowledge of black magic creatures and use every spell you master well."

"Because you have officially started learning magic at Hogwarts today, we cannot make some practical attempts for the time being. First of all, we need to start with the theory related to understanding the black magic creatures."

Speaking of this, Sherlock opened the bag he brought, took out something similar to a model and placed it on the podium.
