Chapter 8 The Only Choice

After scaring his annoying cousin away, Harry was bored at the hedge in the yard.

He is a second-year student in Hogwarts, but has to live in the home of Aunt Penny, who hates magic and wizards during the summer vacation.

To be honest, when he received the Hogwarts admission letter from Hagrid last year, he happily thought that he was about to escape from the sea of suffering.

But I didn't expect that when the semester ended, I would return to this "home" that made him feel no warmth.

Today is Harry's birthday, but he has not received a birthday card until now.

During his year of study at Hogwarts, he must have made friends.

But throughout the summer vacation, Ron and Hermione seemed to have completely forgotten him, and they did not send a letter.

This made him extremely depressed.

Aunt Penny just heard the panicked Dali telling her a report, and was yelling in the living room, asking Harry to trim the roses in the yard, clean the windows, wash the car, trim the lawn, and organize the flower beds.

In the hot weather, Harry weakly started working in the garden with his tools, while his fat cousin Dali, who was like a fat pig, was gloatingly eating ice cream and swaying around and watching Harry wiping the glass.

Harry wasn't feeling sad...well, more or less likely there were some.

But he had actually been used to such unfair treatment for a long time, and even if he felt a little uncomfortable, he could not be considered sad.

The scorching sun made Harry's neck hot.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead and suddenly saw a young man running on the road outside the yard.

When he raised his head, his eyes just met the young man.

To be honest, that face is very handsome, and he can rank among the top three of the people Harry has ever met, but his expression is cold and he looks like a serious person.

The two of them had a fleeting look, as if two ordinary strangers had accidentally looked at each other.

Except for muttering in his mouth, Harry really had the leisure to go out to run in this weather, and he didn't find anything wrong.

And then, his attention was attracted by a big eye hiding behind a hedge.

......

This was the first time Sherlock went out to run according to the planned route, and then he met Harry Potter.

He didn't dare to go up and say hello to the protagonist of this world, because he didn't know if there were Dumbledore or the Ministry of Magic guarding nearby around Harry's house.

The reason why he wanted to take a look at Harry Potter was that after Professor McGonagall left, he found that he lived, only two streets away from No. 4 Livervet Road, where Harry Potter lived in the original work.

Harry Potter's appearance is no different from what he thinks.

Wearing a pair of big black-framed glasses, dark and chaotic black hair, bright green eyes, and a thin figure that looks a bit malnourished.

It seems that my daily life is not very good.

But Sherlock doesn't need to worry about whether Harry Potter has lived well or not.

He took a look at Harry just to satisfy his curiosity, and he still had a lot of troubles on him now.

When she returned home, Sherlock went to the bathroom to take a shower, then came to the wizard study with a towel and wiped her wet hair.

As soon as I entered the door, the portrait on the wall began to yell again.

"Why don't you die! You bastard who makes me sick! Die outside! Disappear in front of my eyes!..."

Sherlock had a good idea to deal with this noisy painting. He covered a curtain on the portrait, and the woman who had been cursing him would soon shut up.

Listening to the tone of the portrait, this woman is like the mother of Sherlock's body.

But he could not imagine what kind of mother would curse her son in such vicious language.

The original owner's family situation looks very strange from the moment.

His father is the top rich man with titles and social status in the Muggle world, while his mother is like a lunatic and can only make a big fuss.

According to the magic world, Sherlock's bloodline should be of mixed blood, his mother is a wizard and his father is a Muggle.

And on that day, when the old housekeeper handed the will to him, the words "promise not to contact those people in the future" were very likely to refer to the wizard.

In other words, Sherlock's father also disliked the wizard group.

To be honest, if the wizards Sherlock met were all like the original mother, he would not have any good feelings for the wizard.

But if this is the case, how did the original owner’s parents give birth to the original owner at that time?

The problem is a bit complicated and the information you can obtain is limited. Sherlock doesn't understand these things very well and doesn't have time to figure them out.

After Professor McGonagall delivered the appointment letter for the Black Magic Defense Class to him, he must not think about inheriting his cheap father's property.

Even if he got the money, he wouldn't have the chance to spend it.

The most important problem on his head now is how to solve the problem of teaching at Hogwarts.

On the night Professor McGonagall left, Sherlock actually thought of many excuses not to accept this position.

For example, if you are a little more ruthless to yourself, you will deliberately break your leg.

However, although in the normal Muggle world, breaking bones is something that requires a long rest, but in the magic world, even if the bones are broken, it is not difficult to come back again.

Therefore, it is obviously unrealistic to avoid taking up the job with Sherlock's current ability and use self-harm to avoid taking office.

He also thought about escaping and throwing a missing scene.

But Sherlock found in despair that he could not even hide from the owl, let alone the wizard, and instead escaped, he fell into the trap.

After thinking about the position of this professor that night, I couldn't escape it no matter what.

Sherlock knew that he had only one way to go.

Then go to Hogwarts to teach.

After understanding this, he became open-minded himself.

Anyway, according to normal experience, he should have been drowned when he fell into the river in his previous life.

Now that I am reborn in this world, I have made a life in vain.

If you can live a wonderful life, you will earn it yourself, and even if you die due to some accident, you will not lose money.

Besides, being a professor of Black Magic Defense is not sure to die. The chance of survival is still very high.

So Sherlock, who had thought about it, picked up the letter of appointment again and smiled contemptuously.
