Chapter 01: Town Night
Chapter 01: Night in the town
The moonlight is bright and shining on the town, and occasionally a breeze blows by. The night is slightly cool.
Chu Su stood quietly in the shadows with his back against the tanker, not moving for a mile.
His head was slightly lowered, his eyes were staring at the ground, and his expression was calm, as if it was a lifelike statue.
The simple style brown long windbreaker is open, revealing the loose casual shirt on the upper body and dark jeans on the lower body.
These clothes were so well-fitting when worn on him, like the three clothes of windbreaker, casual shirt and jeans were designed specifically for him by God. Combined with his shoulder-length black hair, it showed a unique charm.
Although the windbreaker was covered with dust and was damaged in several places, although the jeans were stained with mud and the face was covered with dust, everything just added a hint of vicissitudes to his charm.
He stood motionless, waiting quietly.
Opposite the gas station is a small supermarket with half open doors and the glass on the doors are broken.
On the eight-meter-wide double lane in the middle, some strange black shadows were slowly moving.
They are all humanoid creatures, but their appearance is extremely ugly. They are so huge that they are trying hard to open their huge eyes, turning their heads back and forth, but they seem to be unable to see anything clearly. They hesitate and dare not move forward quickly, and can only walk slowly and tentatively.
They are not covered with inches, and their rough and dark yellow skin is exposed, and their weak or strong muscles are exposed in the moonlight. Their necks are long, and their angular heads are large mouths covered with sharp teeth, but there are no ears on both sides, indicating that they have no auditory senses. Above the angular heads, there is a small head that is half the size of their heads, and looks like walnut shells. Their noses are flat and often make a strange breathing sound. Their hands only have three fingers and only three toes on their feet, but they are all extremely developed and have pointed and hard sharp armor.
Chu Su was waiting. He had to wait.
Because Chu Su knew that his power could barely face three such monsters, but on that street, six such monsters were slowly wandering.
His expression was calm and extremely calm.
A cloud slowly floated in the sky, and finally blocked the moonlight. The entire town suddenly became dark.
The monsters that were already tentatively moving forward stopped suddenly and looked around in a daze, as if they could not see anything at all.
Chu Su walked out of the tanker with a smile. The wind blew his windbreaker and his hair. He walked forward calmly and slowly, intending to pass through the long street occupied by monsters.
But at this moment, a dizziness hit his mind. He suddenly staggered a few steps and almost hit a monster.
Another... He frowned slightly, tried hard to concentrate and stood firm again.
When he raised his head and looked at the monsters seriously, he saw a red light and an orange light appearing on the monsters, with the red light on the walnut-shaped little head on their heads, and the orange light was at the left heart of their chests.
Death point...
He silently recited these three words in his heart. Since he came into contact with the mysterious crystal, he began to see such strange light spots. He could not explain why, but he did not mean to reject the ability to save his life.
After calming down, he walked past a monster with graceful steps.
But the monster didn't notice it at all, looking around like a blind man.
Chu Su had a chance to kill it. He knew that as long as he attacked the Red Death Point, the monster would die immediately. When attacked the Orange Death Point, the monster would not die immediately, but would also be done in a short time.
But Chu Su did not move because he knew clearly the result of doing so. These monsters did not feel any other smell, and were extremely sensitive to the smell of blood. As long as they smelled the smell of blood, they would immediately pounce on them.
He didn't want to find that when he left the supermarket, he found that there were already a large number of monsters gathering outside that were eating similar corpses.
When Chu Su walked across the long street and into the small supermarket, the cloud was blown by a high wind and finally floated away. The moonlight shone again, illuminating the town, so the monsters began to move again.
Standing in the supermarket, Chu Su was still waiting quietly, waiting for the moonlight to shine in again. After a while, when the moonlight penetrated through the door and the window, allowing him to see the inside of the supermarket in the dark, he slowly walked forward, searched one by one, and finally found the food area.
He took a bottle of water from the rack, twisted it slowly, took a few sips. Then he picked up a bag of bread, a bag of sausage, tore it apart and ate it slowly.
The food entered his empty stomach, making him feel a sense of comfort.
For two days, he had never drunk a drop of water or ate a bite. If it were someone else, he suddenly got the food and had already started to chew and swallow it.
But he is not someone else, he is Chu Su. He knows that the more he is in danger, the more calm he should be, the closer he is to success, the more careful he should be.
After a small bread and a small sausage entered his stomach, he temporarily put down the food in his hand and began to search on the shelves. Soon, he found any compressed biscuits that were not sold well in the supermarket. He smiled with satisfaction and stuffed all the only four packs of compressed biscuits into the pocket of his windbreaker.
He picked up another bottle of water and stuffed it into his buttocks of his jeans.
Everything is done carefully and carefully, orderly, without any panic, as if a veteran who has lived in this terrifying world for many years.
But God testified that Chu Su only saw that monster for the first time not long ago, and for the first time he discovered that the world around him had undergone some terrifying changes.
So what about this?
He is Chu Su, the one who has caused great headaches for several years, and the one who has made countless elite detectives feel like returning home to retire.
Chu Su, who once commanded a criminal group composed of elites, disrupted the peaceful Federation into a pot of porridge.
Turning around, he took some food with a longer shelf life from the shelf, then went to the cashier, tore off a convenient bag from the blood-stained cabinet, and put the food inside.
Then, he stood in front of the window, looked up at the sky, waiting for a cloud from afar to float over and block the moon, and then he could leave here calmly and return to the basement of the abandoned factory that had saved his life during the day.
Outside, monsters were wandering, and they were constantly looking around with the help of the moonlight, as if they were looking for fresh flesh and blood.
Chu Su couldn't help but recall the situation when he first saw these monsters. It was during the day. He was chased by these terrifying monsters and almost became their food.
And at that time, the mysterious death point appeared again. He immediately knew the weakness of these monsters, and then escaped from the monsters' siege.
Suddenly there was a sound of footsteps outside, very light, but enough to interrupt his memories. He turned his head vigilantly and looked at the door.
Next to the door, there was a vague figure walking slowly, stepping on the broken door glass, making a crackling sound. The moonlight shone on him, and Chu Su vaguely saw that it seemed to be a real person.
But he didn't say anything or move. He just observed.
A monster who was looking around in a daze turned around inadvertently, then stared at the figure under the moonlight. The monster screamed and suddenly rushed towards the figure.
This guy ran very fast, almost like a well-trained athlete. In a few seconds, he rushed to the figure. While stretching out his two powerful hands to grab the other person's shoulders, he opened the big mouth that occupied half of his head and bit the figure with his sharp teeth.
The figure stood there, not scared by the monster at all. Chu Su looked at him and found his hand moved.
Just that.
It was a standard uppercut, hitting the monster's head hard. The head, which looked extremely ugly but seemed very hard, immediately turned into countless pieces under the moonlight, flew out in the direction behind the monster, sprinkling all over the floor.
Some liquid splashed on the figure, and he didn't even wipe it, but just slowly put away his fist and kicked it.
The monster's corpse flew out, fell to the ground and rolled a few times before stopping. Then, the other monsters on the street suddenly turned their bodies to this side, and their eyes emitted terrible light, screaming together, and rushed towards this side frantically.
Not only on the long street, in nearby houses, yards, under the shadows of trees, and in the depths of the alleys, there were dozens of such monsters rushing towards this side. Because they couldn't see clearly ahead, they often bumped into trees, corners, or tripped by something. But they didn't care, and they didn't even rub the injured area, and rushed towards this side again.
The figure stood quietly, without the intention of escaping.
After a moment, all these monsters rushed to the front, most of them directly pounced on their bodies that were still bleeding from the blood, and some of them were close to the supermarket and rushed towards the figure in front of the supermarket.
The figure stood still, sneered, and then waved his fists continuously, smashing these monsters into pieces with a standard straight punch, swing, and hook punch.
In addition, the monsters who could not rob the corpse were attracted by the smell of blood here and rushed towards this side, but were beaten into pieces under the iron fist of the figure.
Chu Su looked at it quietly, and then began to feel something was wrong.
Every monster has a very clear death point, which accurately tells Chu Su and their deadly place, but there is no death point on the figure in the dark!
Chu Su slowly retreated and walked carefully towards the supermarket. He had a premonition, an ominous premonition.
He felt that he had to find the back door and leave here and not meet the figure.
However, he was disappointed. The supermarket had two doors, one connected to the bathroom and the other connected to the boss's small office.
There were no windows in both rooms.
"Is the only exit?" Chu Su shook his head and smiled, walked out slowly, slowly walked towards the gate, stopped when he was about to arrive, hiding in the shadow behind the shelves.
Under the moonlight, the figure outside snorted softly and walked into the supermarket.
"Damn it, it's too dark here!" he complained softly.
It was the human voice. Although it was a little low and inexplicably carried some metal friction sound, it was indeed the human voice.
How could humans have no death points? Even those monsters! This idea circled in Chu Su's mind, but he didn't want to spend time thinking about this question. He knew that the most important thing was to leave this guy who was stranger than a monster.
Chu Su stood in the shadow, watching him, waiting for him to leave the door.
The figure looked around and then slowly walked towards the cashier.
It was time. Chu Su looked outside. The street was silent, with only a few monsters fighting for the corpses of their companions in the distance. Nearby, there were bloodstains, and dozens of monster corpses with different postures. There were two monsters who had just run over, squatting by the door, eating the corpses, with their backs facing the door.
Chu Su flashed out from behind the shelves and walked calmly towards the gate. Because he was not anxious, his steps were not scattered and did not make any excessive noise.
The figure did not hear Chu Su walking, but just walked forward.
On the left side of the door was a shadow of a wall. Chu Su could avoid the monsters on the street as long as he walked outside the door and turned into the shadow.
Everything seems to end perfectly.
But at this moment, the man suddenly discovered something, then reached out and pressed it on the wall, and the supermarket lights immediately lit up. The two monsters at the door found a light behind them, and suddenly turned their heads over and saw Chu Su standing in front of the door.
The screams sounded, and the two monsters immediately threw away the bodies of similar species and rushed towards Chu Su's "pack of fresh flesh and blood".
Chu Su had no choice. With a slight shaking of his right hand, a hunting knife more than 30 centimeters long slid out of his sleeve.
The wrist flipped, the arm swung, and a monster's head flew into the air and fell into the distance.
He turned, and flashed through another monster's pounce. With a backhand, the monster's head left and rolled towards the supermarket.
"What is this?"
With the low voice mixed with metal friction sounds, Chu Su discovered that the man had just arrived in front of him.
