Chapter 1 Asking Love (Part 5)
Chapter 1 Question (Fifth Middle School)
Even if someone supports a full set of armed equipment, the National Government cannot collect enough metal materials to maintain the operation of the factory. This is the current Republic of China. This is the last hope of 450 million people. For a moment, Chiang Kai-shek felt in tears. He looked at Dai Li for a while and said with a wry smile: "It's really hard for He Guiyan. I believe that after he got the research report, he didn't know how to tell the Soviets. Alas, if the war could be fought two years later, at least the steel mills that could be introduced from the Germans would not give up halfway. Alas, poverty and weakness, poverty and weakness, Alas, those Germans spoke better than singing back then, and immediately shrank their necks at the critical moment. Alas."
As he spoke, he couldn't help but sigh. As the saying goes, weak countries have no diplomacy. As soon as the War of Resistance Against Japan broke out, Germany unilaterally terminated the agreement to supply arms to China. On the grounds that the situation was turbulent and the safety of relevant personnel could not guarantee, some industrial and mining enterprises that were under construction and preparation were put on hold one after another. However, while fighting against Japanese invasion, the Republic of China could not provoke another military power at the same time. He did not even dare to mention protests about the Germans' breach of trust. Even when Germany changed the embassy in China to an agency, he did not dare to recruit the ambassador to Germany based on the principle of diplomatic reciprocity, but he just begged the other party to take back his order and continue to maintain diplomatic relations between the two sides. (Note 1)
Seeing Chiang Kai-shek depressed, Dai Li felt very sad. After thinking about it, he deliberately found a relatively relaxed topic. "The international community has not been bad news recently. At least in Indochina, the hidden personnel of the Military Control Commission have spyed on some information that is very beneficial to us."
"What information," even though he knew that Dai Li might be deliberately making him happy, Chiang Kai-shek still asked with anticipation that since entering the 29th year of the Republic of China, whether it was the battlefield of the Anti-Japanese War or the battlefield of the Communist Party of China, one depressed thing after another, and the chairman of the Military Commission was almost driven crazy. Even if there was a little good news, it would be enough to make the sky above his head a little more color.
"Our Military Control Commission lurks in Indochina to deal with the secret agents of the Wang Puppet Party. In March this year, several Japanese intelligence officers went to British Burma on the grounds of doing business, so they secretly followed him to take a look. As a result, you guessed what you found," Dai Li found a relatively relaxed old thing from his memory and kept it in a secret with a smile.
"What,." Chiang Kai-shek's attention was indeed mobilized, he was stunned and couldn't wait to ask, "Did the Japanese have already started to attack the British colony? That's great. Greedy is not enough to swallow the elephant, offended the old-fashioned Empire of Sun-Danging, and have good fruits from the Japanese."
"The principal is like a god." Dai Li immediately praised loudly, laughing and continued to introduce: "The little Japanese are indeed greedy and are secretly fighting British Burma and French Indochina. Their spies had contact with a group called Deqin Party in Myanmar. Interestingly, Aung San Deqin, the head of the political organization named Deqin Party, and also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of Burma. At this moment, they are actively looking for ways to contact the Soviets, hoping that the Soviets and the Japanese will support him and help him overthrow the British colonial rule."
"Isn't this a whimsical idea?" Chiang Kai-shek was stunned for a moment, laughing and crying. One of the important reasons why the US and British governments pretended to be deaf and dumb about the evil deeds of the Japanese invaders in China was that the Japanese were very active in the ** side, and the Soviet Union was a single Communist ruling country. He had just fought with the Japanese in the area of Nomenhan and had a bloody hatred between them. How could he support a puppet with the Japanese and deal with Britain together? That is, this Burmese man named Aung San Deqin dared to fight the idea of pulling the Soviet Union and Japan onto their own chariots at the same time. If any other politician with a little international perspective would not have such daydreams, (Note 2)
"It's indeed a bit whimsical, but the Japanese have always liked to take risks, and the two sides hit it off." Dai Li smiled with Chiang Kai-shek for a moment and continued to add.
"What you mean is that the Japanese will declare war on Britain soon." Chiang Kai-shek quickly found a bright future from it, put away his smile, pondered and asked.
"It shouldn't be too long." Dai Li thought about it and analyzed it very seriously. "In Europe, after Germany annexed Poland at the end of last year, it annexed Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium this spring. Now it is in a difficult situation with France. Britain has an alliance treaty with France and has been openly providing various support for France. So after defeating France, Hitler's next target is likely to be Britain. Once the British army is dragged in Europe by Hitler, it is the best time for the Japanese to invade all over South Asia."
"Ah," Chiang Kai-shek's eyes immediately flashed with flames and said with anticipation: "That's great. Only when the British suffer from a thirsty pain will they cut off trade with the Japanese and instead support our great cause of the War of Resistance. Where did the little guy Aung San cooperate with the Japanese? Can he cause some trouble for the British?"
"According to the current situation, Aung San Deqin has a strong desire to cooperate with the Japanese and will be very strong. The Military Control Commission is secretly following up on this matter, and new news may be transmitted back at any time." Dai Li thought about it and reported with a guilty reputation.
In fact, the Military Intelligence Agency agents only took Aung San Deqin's ambitions as a joke and did not pay much attention at all. However, since the Chairman asked at this moment, the Director Dai Li, of course, could not tell the truth, but changed to a relatively stable statement in order to make progress and retreat freely.
Chiang Kai-shek didn't know that Dai Li was talking nonsense. He rubbed his hands excitedly and shouted, "Let your people continue to follow up. If possible, just help the little guy Aung San. Humph, the British have been instigating the Japanese devils to kill and set fire. Now, they have killed one acre of three-point land. I think they know whether they know it hurts."
Note 1: Before the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the Republic of China and the German government had a honeymoon period because of mutual demand. Germany helped the Central Army reorganize and dispatched military consultants to supply arms with barter trade (15% higher than the international selling price) to help China establish a preliminary heavy industry. However, in October 1937, Germany imposed an embargo on China, and in early 38, all military consultants and technicians in China were withdrawn.
Note 2: Aung San Deqin, the father of General Aung San Suu Kyi, sought Burmese independence in the 1930s, first tried to obtain support from the Soviets. As a result, when he was detouring through Xiamen, China, he went to Tokyo with Japanese spies (General Aung San's own book claimed to have been kidnapped by Japanese spies). He then received special training from other Burmese people and established anti-British armed forces with the support of the Japanese. After Britain and Japan officially declared war in 1941, he helped the Japanese army defeat the British army, and also caused significant losses to the Chinese expeditionary force. In 1944, after the Japanese invasion of India failed, General Aung San led the Myanmar puppet army to revolt decisively. He then used non-violent methods to win the independence of Myanmar from the British and was respected by the Burmese people as the founding father.
