Chapter 2 1937

()When Sun Buyi opened his eyes again, he found that he was already in a wide and bustling street.

In the cloudless sky, the sun shines brightly. The streets are crowded with people.

Among the abortions passing by, most women were wearing cheongsams, while most men were wearing white shirts, strap shorts and a pair of shiny leather shoes.

A few steps away from me, a rickshaw parked by the roadside rickshaw driver was struggling to communicate with a blond foreign woman about the fare.

On the left side of the entire street, there are tall buildings, all of which are very European-style buildings; there is a railroad track embedded on the ground near those European-style buildings, and a tram is coming from a distance slowly.

On the right side of the street is the surging river.

Four or five simple wooden docks by the river, there are old American Ford cars parked. Looking roughly, there are as many as hundreds! On the surface of the river, dozens of wooden sailboats are coming and going, making a busy scene.

However, what shocked Sun Buyi the most was the sculpture standing by the river.

The sculpture is twenty meters high and is based on huge granite. On the top of the sculpture is a bronze statue of the goddess of victory with angels stretching behind it. There is also a small bronze statue of the goddess of victory on both sides.

How is it possible? Isn’t this the European Victory Monument?!

Sun Buyi remembers that there was such a statue on the Bund in Old Shanghai. It was built by the Shanghai Public Concession Bureau and people from all walks of life in Shanghai to commemorate the fallen soldiers who set out from Shanghai during World War I.

However, the problem is that the statue was demolished by the Japanese as early as 1941 after the invaders entered the concession.

"Commander, do you need to entrust the construction of the base?" Just as Sun Buyi stood there and stared at the sculpture in a daze, a sudden voice came from Sun Buyi's wrist.

Sun Buyi came to his senses and looked down at his wrist.

A mechanical watch worn on his wrist suddenly caught Sun Buyi's eyes.

However, the watch's dial is not showing time, but an aerial view of Sun Buyi's location. Below the dial, there are two triangle buttons, one red and one green.

Is the synthesis of the positioner and the walkie-talkie? Sun Buyi frowned slightly. He quickly walked into a sparsely crowded alley on the street, pressed the green button below the mechanical watch, and lowered his voice, "Damn it! Where did you teleport me?"

"You are currently in the Bund, Shanghai, China, Commander!" As Sun Buyi expected, the voice soon came out from his wrist again.

"Damn it! I'm not talking about location! I'm talking about time!" Sun Buyi felt the veins on his forehead jumping straight.

"July 1ri, 1937, synchronized with the time of the moon base, Commander!"

"1937!" A trace of bitterness appeared on the corner of Sun Buyi's mouth.

It turned out to be time traveling! It seems that when I was hit by the red spherical lightning, I had already returned to 1937.

Of course, there is also this so-called lunar base that came to this era with me.

"What does the construction of a commissioned management base mean?" Sun Buyi suddenly remembered the sound from his wrist just now and mentioned this sentence.

"The current base construction level is 2% and the building can be used as a control center, warehouse, and no other buildings. You can choose to entrust the control center to build it on your own, or the commander designates the construction."

"Special construction!" Sun Buyi replied without hesitation. It would be more at ease to do it yourself.

In an instant, a large three-dimensional template appeared in front of Sun Buyi's eyes. Hundreds of icons on the template were in a gray state, and only five icons showed bright gold se.

It turned out to be true! Sun Buyi couldn't help but feel ecstatic when he saw the template.

I am really familiar with the template that appears in front of me. Isn’t this the control interface of the stand-alone game ‘base’ I played at home before?

Five shiny icons naturally represent buildings that can be built.

"Nuclear power stations are necessary. Without energy, there is nothing! Of course, mining sites are also necessary!" However, Sun Buyi was a little hesitant about how to choose the remaining three buildings.

"Stand!" Sun Buyi hesitated for a while, then firmly stated his choice, and the number of stock materials in the base displayed in the upper right corner of the template was then reset to zero.

"The nuclear power plant is under construction and takes 40 hours!"

"The mining farm, under construction, took 120 hours!"

"The military station is under construction, and it takes 10 hours!"

"The remaining construction materials at the base are zero, and the construction formwork is closed!"

A series of information was transmitted from the wrist to Sun Buyi's ears. Will it take 120 hours later? Sun Buyi curled his lips. This mining site took a lot of time.

"After seventy-two hours, the base will automatically enable support mode!"

"Support mode? What does it mean?" Sun Buyi asked in confusion.

"In 72 hours, the first batch of cloned soldiers will be armed and obey your call at any time, Commander!"

"How many people are there?" Sun Buyi's voice trembled. Soldiers! He originally thought that he could only produce weapons in the base, but he didn't expect that he could really be a violent soldier!

"Each time, one hundred soldiers are supported, and each time is two hundred and forty hours."

What the hell!

After hearing this, Sun Buyi was like an eggplant hit by frost. He knew that there was not that cheap thing in the world. Only one hundred soldiers were supported every ten days, and in one day the base could only equip ten cloned soldiers.

This is in 1937! And it's still July 1st! There is only more than a month left before the start of the Battle of Songhu on August 13th. By then, millions of troops will fight to the death here! A unit of 300 people can hardly cause any splash.

OK, it's much better than nothing. Sun Buyi comforted himself helplessly.

"Then now teleport me back to the moon base, I want to go to the warehouse to check it." What Sun Buyi wants to know most now is whether the equipment he has in the warehouse has also traveled over.

"The second transmission cannot be performed, the cooling time of the transmission equipment is 72 hours!"

"You're cheating!" After hearing the sound coming from your wrist again, Sun Buyi let out a wail!
