Chapter 15 Return to reality(2/2)

Andy didn't know what he was talking about with Boss John and Eddie Gray just now, and seemed a little embarrassed. At this time, he stretched out his hand to Levi, but it seemed inappropriate, so he turned back and scratched his head, and then said:

"Thanks to you, otherwise I would have been kicked into the Wolf River by my uncle and fed to the fish!"

"Look at your character, why did you back down just because I asked you to go to Manchester United's youth training camp to recruit people? Have you forgotten who the boss hired from Manchester United back then?"

Can I be compared with the greatest manager in the history of Leeds United? Andy thought angrily, but did not dare to reply, and stood there with a blushing face.

"Okay, okay, Andy did nothing wrong. Didn't he recruit Li from Manchester United? If you lose your temper like this again, I won't welcome you here, Eddie." It was boss John who came to the rescue.

.

Eddie Gray snorted but didn't say anything else. He stood up and seemed ready to leave.

"John, do you really not consider my suggestion?"

"Eddie, I've been selling Scotch food and whiskey for six years. Do you really think I'm okay? But I don't think so."

"Okay, it's up to you." Seeing that his last efforts had no effect, Eddie Gray turned and walked towards the door, but before leaving, he didn't forget to remind Levi:

"Li, don't forget to report to Sopuak in three days!"

"Of course, boss."

Andy followed Eddie Gray with some fear. Halfway there, he turned around and winked at Levi, making a phone call gesture.

That should tell me to call him when I get in trouble, Levi thought, he is really a warm-hearted and good person!

"Okay, now it's time to talk about your business." Boss John put down the wine glass he had been wiping for a long time, turned his head and stared at Levi, and raised the corners of his mouth slightly:

"Welcome to Leeds United, young man."

"Do you know everything? Oh, that's right, the boss has just been here." Levi quickly solved his doubts, and then he walked to the bar:

"Boss John, thank you very much! Without your generosity, I would never have been able to join Leeds United."

"No, you earned it yourself. Eddie will not let anyone he doesn't like enter the youth team. You know, I have known him for more than 30 years." Old John did not point out that he was in the Levi test.

The role played in the training, in his opinion, is irrelevant.

"I came here today to discuss work matters with you. Since we have training during the day from Monday to Friday, I think I can only come over at night. You see, can I come to work after 6 o'clock every day on Tuesday and Thursday? Can I come to work on Saturday?

I can come over during the day."

"Of course, but don't you want to play in the youth league on Saturday?" Boss John looked at Levi with a playful smile.

"Well, of course not. In fact, I don't know that the game is on Saturday." Levi had the urge to touch his forehead with his hand, "Then do you think it can be changed to Sunday?"

"Then Tuesday, Thursday from 6pm to 11pm, Sunday from 2pm to 10pm, eighteen hours."

"No problem, boss."

Levi calculated secretly, and calculated that his part-time income per week was 108 pounds, plus the 100 pounds distributed by the youth team, which should be enough to live on. He felt that he would not be able to spare any more time. After all, he had to train every day.

Working part-time three days a week should be just right.

"Li, are you familiar with the wine here?" Boss John pointed to the wine rack behind him. Rows of wine bottles of different colors were piled up. It makes people doubt that all the wine in Beeston is here.

.

Not to mention recognizing the brands of various wines, it would be difficult for Levi to recognize beer, red wine, and rum. He answered honestly:

"I think I can only recognize whiskey, boss."

"That won't do, Lee, can you imagine a knight not recognizing his horse?"

"I will study hard, boss."

"Haha, let me teach you a trick today," Boss John opened the partition of the bar and let Levi in. He pointed at a row of dark-colored wine bottles. In fact, the entire side of the wine rack looked like it.

They all taste the same wine:

"Guinness, great guy! I think you can handle 80% of the people in England if you know it. Whiskey is not common in Yorkshire, but who told me that this is a Scottish restaurant? There is no such thing

Damn it, no one can eat a whole plate of sheep offal."

"Thank you, I will try to remember each wine."

"But never get involved with them," Boss John's expression suddenly turned serious, "There were once talented people from Northern Ireland and England who were ruined by them, do you know that?"

"George Best and Gascoigne," Levi naturally cannot fail to know the two most talented superstars in the history of the British Isles, "they are really regrettable."

"No, they don't deserve sympathy," Boss John's tone became stern, "If you want to take the path of professional football, Lee, never indulge in that stuff."

"Definitely." Li Wei also became serious.

Today is not Levi's day to go to work, not to mention that he has to go see Milner's house in the evening. Wetherby is not close to here. So Levi quickly said goodbye to Boss John and left Billy's Bar.

Behind him, Old John turned his gaze to the southeast corner of the Elland Road stadium at some point, thoughtfully:
