Chapter 20 Being Worshiped

 Continue after stopping the cloud:

"This cabinet is small at the top and large at the bottom. It is round on the outside and square on the inside. The cabinet door is made of traditional lattice and tenon, and the edges are grooved to install the board. A latch rod is installed in the middle of the cabinet door, and a leaf hangtag is installed on it."

He glanced at the man: "That's right?"

The man saw that what he said was clear and logical, but he was a little unsure. He glanced at the broken cabinet and said, "Yes, that's right!"

Tingyun nodded:

"Then, if you use a glued cabinet to pretend to be furniture with a mortise and tenon structure from the Ming Dynasty, then you think everyone else is a fool!"

The man was speechless and stared, not knowing what to say.

Tingyun walked up to Chen Mo again and asked him in a low voice: "Do you have the model with you?"

"Bring it." Chen Mo nodded, took off his backpack, took out a mortise and tenon model and handed it to Ting Yun.

Tingyun took the model, looked around at the crowd, and began to disassemble the model in his hand:

"The mortise and tenon structure is the basic structural method of ancient buildings and furniture.

"Mortise and tenon is a concave-convex connection method used on two wooden components.

"The protruding part is called the tenon, and the recessed part is called the mortise. The mortise and the mortise bite together and play a connecting role."

Tingyun disassembled the model, showed it to the people around him, and then started to reassemble it:

"After it is inserted like this, it is very strong. It will not come apart no matter which direction it is shaken. It can also withstand a certain degree of deformation."

He explained and assembled at the same time, allowing the onlookers to see clearly.

After finishing the fight, he returned the model to Chen Mo and turned to the man:

"The conclusion is that your so-called rounded corner cabinet from the Ming Dynasty is undoubtedly a fake!"

There were comments around him: "It turns out to be fake."

"This is obviously a fake product!"

The man was a little panicked and said with an inward look: "I don't know about the mortise and tenon structure, anyway, the cabinet was handed down from my grandfather.

"Even if it's not from the Ming Dynasty, it's still from small-leaf rosewood. The wood alone is worth a lot of money!"

Tingyun smiled coolly: "Any wood of similar color has been passed off as small-leaf red sandalwood."

He picked up the wood in the box again:

"The small-leaf red sandalwood has a natural texture, a delicate texture, and a light sandalwood fragrance."

"This one is rough, has obvious black stripes, and smells slightly sour. It must be big-leaf red sandalwood."

The man stared: "You mean it's rough when you say it's rough? I look at it and it's very delicate, and it also smells like sandalwood!"

Tingyun didn't bother to argue with him, turned to Qingyu and said, "Qingyu, can you help me go to the drugstore to buy a small bottle of alcohol and a few cotton balls?"

Qingyu was looking at him with admiration. At this moment, hearing him call her by her last name made her feel extremely happy.

The senior called her Qingyu affectionately, not Su Qingyu politely.

The shorter the name, the closer the relationship!

She was secretly happy in her heart, and she acted without missing a beat, and immediately responded crisply: "Yes, I'll go right away!"

She turned around and squeezed out of the crowd.

There was a female tourist in the inner circle who was enjoying watching the excitement. She waited impatiently and immediately opened her backpack: "Alcohol and cotton balls, right? I brought them."

She handed the things to Qingyu.

"Thank you." Qingyu said with a sweet smile: "Sister, you are simply an NPC!"

"When traveling, I have to bring medicines and disinfectants." The female tourist replied with a smile.

Qingyu ran to Tingyun with her things.

Tingyun took the cotton ball and told her: "Pour some alcohol."

He gently wiped the surface of the wood in his hand with an alcohol cotton ball, and then held it up to show the onlookers:

"If you apply alcohol on the surface of small-leaf rosewood, the small-leaf rosewood will turn red and fade, but the large-leaf rosewood will not."

The cotton ball in his hand has turned red, and the result is self-evident.

The man's face was already ugly, but he was still trying to maintain his momentum:

"Anyway, it's true that he broke my things. You can't break things without an explanation, right?"

Tingyun sneered: "Why did he break your things? How did he break it?

"Let's talk about it and see how the responsibilities should be divided."

The onlookers now understood who was right and who was wrong, and had a bias in their hearts.

A burly male tourist pointed at the man touching porcelain and said loudly: "I saw it!

"He himself called your friend and said he has furniture for sale. Come and take a look.

"As soon as your friend takes it, the thing will fall apart!"

Tingyun thanked the male tourist, then turned to look at the man coldly.

At this time, the man no longer had any reason to act shameless. He turned around and packed his things dejectedly, muttering:

"Forget it, I'm too lazy to argue with you. I'll consider myself unlucky!"

There was a burst of boos from the crowd.

The man squeezed out of the crowd with the box in his arms and walked away quickly.

Several shills also pretended to leave naturally.

Qingyu was so impressed that her eyes were wary:

"Senior, how come you know everything?

"You just made that person look ashamed, he's so handsome!

"Senior, you have successfully conquered me and made me your crush!"

As a top student, Tingyun has been praised by teachers and classmates since childhood, and has long been accustomed to it.

But such straightforward, exaggerated, and emotional compliments like hers are still rare.

Tingyun felt a little embarrassed, but also shamefully proud. He deliberately replied in an understatement:

"Architecture and furniture in ancient times were all made of wood, and they had many things in common in structure. Isn't it normal for people who study architecture to know something about furniture?"

Qingyu was a little confused: "I also study architecture? I remember we didn't learn these before?"

You?

I don’t even remember what I have learned, let alone take the initiative to learn something other than the textbooks.

Tingyun glanced at her and said lightly: "You can't be used as a measuring stick."

Qingyu was looked down upon again, and she puffed her lips angrily:

"I'm praising you! Even if you don't know how to reciprocate, don't hit me!"

Tingyun caught a glimpse of her bulging cheeks and felt that she was in a good mood. He turned around and asked Chen Mo to go with him.

Chen Mo nodded and walked slowly behind Tingyun.

Qingyu looked back at him, then turned back and asked Tingyun in a low voice:

"Senior Chen Mo clearly knew that the cabinet was fake, so why didn't he say it?

"Those people bullied him like that!"

Tingyun stared ahead: "You have already made a guess in your mind."

Qingyu nodded: "Senior Chen Mo, he seems to really dislike talking to others. Even worse than you."

"I'll tell you this later."

Half an hour later, the three of them returned to the B&B.

Chen Mo went back to his room.

Tingyun and Qingyu were sitting in the corridor on the first floor drinking drinks, with a small courtyard full of flowers and trees in front of them.

There are cobblestone paths and waterways in the courtyard, with clear and shallow water flowing through them.

Tingyun held the quilt and looked at the water in front of him: "Chen Mo, he has high-functioning autism."

Qingyu looked confused: "I've heard of autism. But what does high-functioning autism mean?"

Tingyun replied: "It means that there are basically no problems with cognition and understanding, which means that intelligence is basically normal.

"But there are problems such as social communication difficulties, narrow interests, stereotyped and repetitive behaviors, abnormal sensations and other problems."
