Chapter 24: First Practice

Even though he was prepared, Master Gu was slightly surprised.

This battle was not too big, but the disciples on the top of Tiantong Peak could all see it. They thought it was a real person practicing some kind of magic, and most of them just looked at it for a few times without paying much attention.

Only the senior brothers and sisters who had just come out of Donghua Hall looked back at the scene of the moonlight falling, with a look of surprise on their faces.

"Who could have done this?" Chen Yingnian said to himself subconsciously.

"Who else can there be except Master?" Yu Yumo looked worried and turned around to leave.

Chen Yingnian smiled and walked slowly to catch up, "You, even the master has noticed your little emotion, and doesn't know how to contain it."

Yu Yumo pouted, "I just want him to notice, hum, master loved me the most before, but now he misses that person named Su every day, which makes people annoyed."

......

The reason why Gu Ningfeng was surprised had nothing to do with how pure the moonlight was, but because he didn't realize that Su Yan had used a magic weapon, as if everything happened naturally.

He floated up to Su Yan and looked around, but still found no sign of the use of treasures. Those who didn't know better thought that this "apprentice" had reached a subtle and profound state where Tao followed nature and was invisible and traceless.<

Gu Zhenren took action again and inspected the situation inside Su Yan's body, but still found nothing wrong.

But at least he recognized what Su Yan said before, that "Taiyin Yuehua Lingsu Sutra" is better to him than "Zhenwu Miaojing".

Next, Master Gu asked Su Yan to pick off Yujue and try again. This time nothing came out. He still needed a medium to launch that move.

"Let's just take the Ling Su Sutra." Gu Ningfeng agreed, "It happens to be night now, and I see that your spirit is good. Come with me to the back mountain and start your first practice."

"Yes." Su Yan was also a little excited inside.

......

On the mountain behind Tiantong Peak, there is a simple bluestone protruding out of the cliff like a lying cow. It is the highest peak and the closest to the sky.

This place is usually considered a small forbidden area. Only Gu Zhenren and a few other people can come here to sit cross-legged and practice, absorbing the essence of the sun and the moon.

At this moment, Master Gu asked Su Yan to sit on it, and he sat opposite him, patiently explaining to him the introductory part of the Lingsu Sutra.

Although the head teacher said that he was "privately giving some guidance," this real person didn't seem to have too many concerns, and instead treated him as a direct disciple.

Although Gu Zhenren does not practice this technique, but the paths lead to the same goal, he is not even able to guide a disciple to get started.

Su Yan has almost memorized the content of the first realm of Lingsu Sutra these days, but he is not anxious at the moment. In addition to patiently listening to the lecture, he also raised his doubts in a timely manner.

An hour later, Gu Zhenren stepped away, leaving Su Yan alone to face the outside of the cliff, with his five hearts facing the sky, gathering his mind, getting rid of distracting thoughts, and began to enter concentration.

Because of his previous experience of successfully finding the "Qi Sense" in the Sutra Library for a day or two, Su Yan entered samadhi smoothly this time.

Not long after, the misty clouds and mist in the mountains started to fluctuate slightly, and seemed to be coming towards the direction of Su Yan. At the same time, half of the bright moon in the sky shed a faint brilliance, shrouding the young man's figure, and he was confused.

With a little bit of a sense of being out of the world.

Seeing this, Master Gu nodded slightly, with approval in his eyes.

This kind of appearance appears during the first practice, which shows that this person is extremely talented and deserves to be a Taiyin body.

When ordinary low-level disciples practice, there won't be any special scenes around them. After all, the amount of spiritual energy they can absorb is pitifully small, so it can't cause any fluctuations.

This is because Gu Zhenren warned Su Yan in advance not to use the moon key to attract the moonlight, otherwise the scene will be even more spectacular.

Because he was worried that too much and too violent Yuehua would burst Su Yan's small body, Master Gu asked him not to use treasures to guide him while practicing before building the foundation.

Seeing that Su Yan was getting better during his first practice and soon entered a deeper state of trance, Gu Ningfeng was already looking forward to the vision he would show on the day he established the foundation.

The time of foundation building is different from the first practice. According to past Taoist records, the more special the physique and the more talented the person, the more special scenes will appear during the time of foundation building.

At that time, you can call a few real people to come and watch the ceremony, make them jealous, and make them regret not coming to rob someone, hum.

Yes, sometimes Mr. Gu is such a boring person, but he himself understands this as "innocent heart".

......

There are nine realms of practice. Each of the first three realms is divided into the front, middle and late stages. Each of the middle three realms is divided into six heavens. Each of the last three realms is divided into nine heavens.

Therefore, although there are only nine realms at a glance, there are fifty-four subdivided realms of practice, which shows how difficult it is to ascend.

There is a theory of the upper, middle and lower Dantian. The Dantian usually refers to the lower Dantian, which is located three inches below the navel and is the place where essence is stored.

For most of the cultivation methods in this world, the first step is to start practicing from the lower Dantian.

Lingsu Sutra belongs to the inner alchemy method, which is considered to be the most practiced one today, and there are many experiences to follow.

Naturally, the golden elixir is not condensed in the Dantian at the beginning. No one can learn to fly before they can walk. This first step is called [Building the Foundation], also known as building the foundation in a hundred days.

According to the secrets of Lingsu Sutra, the symbol of the first stage [Void Moon Realm] is to form an illusory bright moon in the Dantian Qihai.

This round of bright moon is the initial prototype of the future condensed elixir. The process of letting the bright moon turn from virtual to real and gradually grow stronger is also the process of gradually getting closer to the golden elixir.

The real golden elixir can only take shape after crossing the first great boundary for all practitioners, breaking through the three realms into the four realms.

What Su Yan has to do now is to absorb the free spiritual energy between heaven and earth, as well as the lunar moonlight scattered above the nine heavens, run them in a special route, and purify them bit by bit into the magic power in the body of the cultivator.

Of course, because his level is too low, he can only be considered unqualified at present, so Su Yan can only condense the "rudimentary form of magic power" for the time being, or simply call it inner energy.

When the inner energy gathers in the Dantian and forms an ocean, and when the accumulation is sufficient, you can try to build a foundation and raise a bright moon in the ocean.

This step is crucial, as it is the first step for a practitioner to formally enter the path of immortality. Naturally, there is also the possibility of failure.

There are many reasons for failure, either due to insufficient accumulation; or due to timidity at the critical moment; or due to overthinking, excessive worries, or too much psychological pressure...

Once it fails, the consequences may be light or serious. If it is light, the most important thing is to learn lessons and continue to attack the foundation after a period of cultivation.

If it is serious, it will be troublesome. You may not be able to build a foundation for the rest of your life, and you can only be a minor role in the mainstream, and you will never have any chance of immortality.

This is the first realm. From this we can see how big the difference is between martial arts and immortality. It is no wonder that the total number of practitioners has never been increasing.
