Chapter 56 How far is it again?
Wukong took the tray and packed it into his bag.
He took turns and grabbed it on the wooden lacquer plate.
He walked up to Gao Cai and said, "Gao Cai, thank you for recommending me to my master yesterday. Today, my master has recruited a new disciple. I have nothing to thank you for. I will use this scrap of gold and silver as your leader's money. You can use it to buy straw sandals to wear."
"If there are more goblins in the future, please introduce a few more to us, and I would like to thank you."
Gao Cai looked at Mrs. Gao and then dared to take it.
He kowtowed and thanked him.
Wukong immediately felt that this person was timid, had no fun, and looked sarcastic.
Mrs. Gao said, "Masters really got eminent monks, and young and old have learned from them."
Li Fu said, "Life in this world is about cultivation. Mr. Gao is well, I will go there."
Zhu Wuneng has never asked for anything more from his father-in-law.
He swayed, raised his hands and bowed his body, and sang "Hey".
"Looking at my father-in-law, please send me your mother-in-law, aunt, second aunt, uncle, uncle, and other relatives."
"I'm going to be a monk today, and I'm very pressed for time. I haven't said anything to you, so don't blame me! Don't blame me!"
He lowered his posture, approached Old Mrs. Gao and whispered in a low voice, "My father-in-law! You still have to treat my wife harshly. If we can't learn from it, I can return to secular life, continue to be your son-in-law, and give you more family."
Private."
No matter how close Zhu Wu gets to Old Man Gao, no matter how low he speaks, Old Man Gao can hear it with mortal ears, but how can Wukong not hear it.
The traveler shouted, "Take it easy! Don't talk nonsense!"
Bajie said, "Brother! What nonsense am I talking about? The journey to learn the scriptures is thousands of miles long, and there are bound to be many surprises. Who knows where I will go on an unexpected trip."
"Don't forget that in the end, the monk has nothing to do, and the wife married by mistake, and it was delayed twice."
"It's like a raw melon and an egg, and the water in the bamboo basket is all in vain."
Li Fu said, "Bajie, you don't know something. Although the journey is far, it is not far."
"Look up to the sky. Above the clouds, there are four levels of merit, five directions of enlightenment, six Ding and Liujia, and eighteen protective Jialan guards."
Bajie curled his lips and said, "They are so incompetent."
Li Fu said again, "Look at the ground again. Besides me, there are Bajie, you, Wukong, and this dragon and horse."
"They are all highly capable and were once good players."
Zhu Bajie was afraid that his master was too naive, so he said to Li Fu, "Master! What you said is absolutely true. I am afraid that there are immortals and gods outside the immortals."
"On this journey, I don't know how many monsters I will encounter, and there is nothing foolproof."
Li Fu felt that Bajie had a future as a defeatist counselor.
He said, "Bajie, you don't know something. Wukong once received a promise from Master Guanyin that he would seek help from all directions during his journey."
Bajie arched his mouth and said nothing more.
Was he once a dignified marshal? He had seen a lot of filthy things in heaven.
No one is high-sounding in words, and no one is just a fool in practice.
If we seek external help for the purpose of seeking Buddhist scriptures from the West, it is not something that other gods should do, nor is it something they should do.
How to do your best?
Instead, they waited for failure and watched the excitement.
Wukong grabbed Bajie's ears and said, "Get it together! Stop gossiping! We'll be on our way soon!"
Wukong packed his luggage and packed the gold and silver, and Bajie took it up.
Li Fu mounted the white horse, and the traveler carried the iron rod to lead the way.
A group of three masters and disciples bid farewell to everyone in Gaolaozhuang and headed west.
Walk along the way and watch the scenery change.
The trees are getting taller and taller.
The mist lingers in the air.
The three masters and apprentices lived in the open, and there were times when they went hungry.
If you can get some fast food from the purple gold alms bowl, then eat it. If you can't get it, then fast for a day.
Wukong once wanted to go to that distant place to seek alms, but Li Fu stopped him.
It’s not a big problem to have that sumptuous banquet once in a while.
But if this happens every day, is this journey of learning the scriptures a training or an enjoyment?
If you want to be justified and get the right result, you still need to suffer some hardships and block your mouth.
The dragon and horse had no shortage of food along the way. The grass was tender and fat, and they held their heads high and their chests high, looking like a happy horse.
On Wukong's side, the monkey's heart moved slightly, jumping up and down.
The moon is full of golden flowers.
Dining and sleeping outdoors.
Master and apprentice traveled safely for more than a month.
Just after passing the Uzang border, I suddenly saw a high mountain.
Li Fu reined in his horse and said to his two disciples, "Wukong, Wujing, the mountains ahead are high and there may be demons. You must look carefully to appreciate the reality."
Wukong was about to move forward when Bajie said, "It's okay! It's okay! The name of this mountain is Futu Mountain. There is a temple in the mountain, and there is an old monk in the temple."
"His name is Zen Master Wuchao, he practices here, and Lao Zhu has also met him."
Li Fu asked, "Where does Zen Master Wuchao follow?"
Zhu Bajie replied, "I don't know exactly where he is. But he does have some Taoism. He once advised me to practice with him, but I didn't agree."
Master and apprentice communicate all the way and move forward.
Not long after, we entered the Buddha Mountain.
The scenery of this mountain is extremely beautiful.
There are green pines and cypresses on the south side of the mountain, and green willows and red peaches on the north side of the mountain.
There are mountain birds talking to each other in the forest, chattering noisily.
There are cranes flying and dancing gracefully by the water.
Floral, woody, grassy, fragrant to the nose.
There is rolling green water under the stream, and auspicious clouds in front of the cliff.
It’s really a magical place, with elegant scenery and no one coming and going.
Li Fu immediately looked from a distance and saw an elk holding flowers on the left and a mountain monkey offering fruits on the right.
Above the treetops, there are green phoenixes singing in unison, black cranes and golden pheasants.
Under this scenery, there is a small temple as big as a palm, attached to the tree.
There is a figure standing on a tree branch in front of the temple.
Ba Huan pointed there and said, "That's Zen Master Wuchao!"
Li Fu urged the dragon and horse to go faster without whipping them until they were under the strange tree.
When the Zen master saw Master Li Fu and his disciples from a distance, he left his small temple that looked like a black nest and jumped to the ground.
Li Fu dismounted from his horse and bowed. The Zen master supported him with both hands and said, "Holy monk, please rise. If you are not far away, you will be welcomed! If you are not far away, you will be welcomed!"
Zhu Wuneng said, "Old Zen Master, let's bow."
Seeing Bajie, the Zen master was surprised and said, "You are a pig with strong hair on Fuling Mountain. How can you have such a great opportunity to travel with the holy monk?"
Bajie reached, "I received the advice from Guanyin Bodhisattva two years ago and am willing to become a disciple with my master."
When the Zen master heard this, he loudly said, "Okay! Good! Good!"
He pointed at Wukong again and said, "Which one is this?"
Wukong curled his lips, "How can you, an old Zen, recognize this pig Wuneng but not me?"
The old Zen master said unconcernedly, "Because I have little knowledge."
Li Fu said, "This is my first disciple - Sun Wukong!"
The Zen master smiled apologetically and said, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
Li Fu saw that the old Zen master was not like an ordinary monk, but a man who had attained the Tao. He also saw the attitude of Wukong, and he had a vague guess.
He then asked, "Zen Master, how far is the Xitian Leiyin Temple from here?"
The Zen master said, "It's still far! It's still far! The road is far away, and there are many tigers and leopards, making it difficult to pass."
