Chapter 1 Adventurers and Explorers(1/2)
It rains all year round in the eastern highlands of Loy.
The warm air flow from the Southern Ocean follows the summer ocean currents northward and is blocked by the Wangxing Mountains on the Ridge of the World. Some of the weak water vapor turns into rain that lasts for several seasons, and some of the water vapor condenses into the sacred and eternal snow-capped mountains of Wangxing Territory.

The snow in the Eternal Snow Mountain will also melt, silently.
The snow in the Wangxing Mountains melted into groundwater, which merged with countless tributaries in the mountains to form the Yaklisha River and flowed westward into Lake Shen'en. The surface of the eastern highlands was eroded by rivers into thousands of ravines, forming countless criss-crossing rivers.
Cave.
"The groundwater in the cave has been accumulating ether in the snow in the snow mountains for tens of thousands of years. The groundwater flows very slowly, and the ether does not flow easily, so it is not surprising that natural monster lairs are formed."
In the dim underground cave, a gentle female voice whispered. She was wearing a large gray robe with several complicated secret texts embroidered on it. A few strands of black hair leaked out from under the hood, half-covering only one eye.
Exquisite appearance that can be noticed immediately.
She looked around, and there seemed to be flowing light in her blue-white pupils.
"By the way, the official name of this area in the Elegant Society is the Aslon Lowlands, named after the ancient city-state that perished two thousand years ago, which is the ruins we see on the surface."
The white-haired boy beside her listened carefully, nodding from time to time. The dark leather armor made slight movements due to friction, and the sword on his waist also swayed slightly in the air.
Next to them, another white-haired girl faced the two companions with an elegant smile, but her erratic vertical pupils, fluffy ears swinging on top of her head, and tail swaying left and right, all showed that her attention had wandered.
Arriving at the mushrooms glowing faintly blue on the cave wall.
"I see, I have learned." The white-haired boy's voice was sincere and respectful, "Ms. Olive, I have learned a lot from you along the way. Thank you very much."
"It's always good to share and exchange knowledge. Can you relax a little bit? Shiloh." Olive asked.
"Huh? Ah, yes, I'm sorry, because when I think about facing the fifth-level Achyonis, I feel that I am still immature."
"Are you a third-level adventurer? How old are you? How long have you been an adventurer?"
"I'm 18 years old. I only started to be an adventurer last year. I'm still unfamiliar with many places. I often cause trouble to everyone in the guild."
"I'm not an adventurer, and I don't know your specific promotions, but generally speaking, it's quite a genius to be rated as a third-level adventurer in one year."
"No, genius is too praised, compared with other people in the guild..."
"Although the fringe guilds have a small number of people, they are all very powerful. I remember that they were short of one crown-level member to be rated as a crown-level guild. There are only five crown-level guilds in Xinhongmu, not to mention that your president is a legend.
”
"You two, you two, I'm sorry to interrupt your happy conversation," the cat-eared girl glanced into the depths of the cave, "Finn and the others are here with the big guys."
A sharp hissing sound suddenly came from the dark cave ahead, and the water on the ground was swaying. The cave was shaking and shaking, and a huge thing was approaching.
Olive blinked at the cat-eared girl, "I detected it, Sasha... There is no ether fluctuation. I detected it with my racial ability... She is indeed a phantom."
She pulled out a heavy book from under her robe. The cover of the book was plated with a hollow metal layer, forming complex lines. She spread it out, and the slightly yellowed pages turned automatically as if they were blown by the wind. Ollie
Fu holds a book in her left hand, and draws an invisible pattern in the air with her right hand. After a few breaths, the invisible pattern appears out of thin air, and her rotating fingertips circle a perfect circle.
She began to sing, and her voice was rapidly compressed by special techniques, turning it into a string of indistinguishable syllables.
Light came from the cave, and two figures appeared from the cave in front. The angel with his hands, feet and eyes bound was flying with wings of light. A mature woman with flaxen hair and a young man with black hair and a black coat were on the left.
The right hand holds the angel's side restraints and hangs them in mid-air. They are escaping from the monster and its offspring behind them.
It was a huge basilisk, with a thick body of more than five meters long covered with dark red scales, with sharp barbs and thick fins on its back, and a pair of broad fleshy long wings on both sides of its head.
The huge saw-toothed jaws grow like sharp horns on both cheeks. It opens its bloody mouth, revealing layers of fine, sharp and vicious teeth that can even grind rocks into pieces.
It crawls like a snake, and the wet ground makes its movements smoother. The end of its swinging tail is like a blade, poking out slender cracks on the ground it scrapes like tofu.
The fifth-level monster, the master of the labyrinth lair—Achaionis.
Olive looked forward calmly and raised her hand.
The wall behind Achaiones suddenly made a loud rumbling sound. The rocks peeled off the rock wall layer by layer as if they were alive, and then quickly built up at the entrance and exit of the cave. Small pieces of large rocks blocked the gaps between the rocks, and the sand flowed to the new one.
The rock wall filled the smaller gap, and in a few seconds, a new rock wall was formed, integrating seamlessly with the surroundings - separating Archeonis from the several offspring behind it.
Olive waved her hand again.
The movement of the stone did not stop, and the surrounding rocks formed a four-meter-high rock colossus, standing between the angel and Achaeonis, silently resisting Achaeonis' screaming forward attack.
The impact of the collision between the colossus and the lair master caused wind pressure to blow around. Olive's hood fell down, revealing her beautiful black hair, with a silver headband on the back of her head under her black hair. But the most eye-catching thing was that
Pointed ears.
"Double casting, you are truly worthy of being a fifth-level mage."
Sasha smiled elegantly and praised, adding in her heart, the elf old woman.
Finn, a young man with black hair who was a little further away from them, calculated the distance. He suddenly let go and landed steadily on a rock that was not soaked in water. "According to plan, Gina, cover me."
"Hey? I'll take you farther away, really!"
Finn ignored the complaints of his companions. He took out his short wand and pointed it at the rock colossus: "Given swords, armor, and shields, you will be invincible, protect and kill enemies."
A translucent light spot appeared on the rock colossus, and quickly spread to completely cover the colossus. A layer of translucent spiritual armor appeared on the rock colossus. It held a shield in its left hand and a sword in its right hand.
The colossus raised its shield to resist Achaiones' tail-swinging blow, taking away part of the force. The tail of the blade scraped the colossus' armor, leaving only a shallow scratch.
"Excellent spiritual spells." Olive praised.
"It won't last long." Finn responded coldly.
"I'll provide fire support!"
Gina came to Fenn's side. The bound angel behind her was floating in the air, with its wings fully extended. Dozens of light spots became brighter and brighter, and then the hot and bright light shot towards Achaeonis.
Akiones screamed, but the hard scales did not let the ray penetrate it, leaving only mottled scorch marks. The water flowed along the scorch marks, gradually cleaning and healing them.
But Gina's angels did not stop attacking, and the light continued to bombard Achaiones, suppressing his actions for a while.
"What an amazing power." Shiloh couldn't help but speak, and the flickering light in the distance illuminated the boy's profile.
"Sister Gina's powers are both beautiful and elegant." Sasha praised with a smile, "And the angel's strengths are protection and healing."
"If only I could help."
"Oh, don't be discouraged, Shiloh. You are great too." Sasha looked at her companions and comforted her softly.
She thought to herself, the beautiful boy is really great!
Suddenly, multiple neighings came from behind everyone, and in the direction from which they came, two two-meter-tall sons of Acenes snaked towards them, spitting out snakes.
"Didn't you clean it up?" Sasha exclaimed.
"I'll deal with them!" Hilo drew out his sword, stepped on the ground, and jumped out lightly.
Sasha didn't have time to catch him. The anxious cat stamped his feet. He subconsciously turned around and found that no one noticed her slightly rude action, so he picked up his white robe and stepped forward.
Hero jumped in front of a scion of Archeones, turned his waist and swung his sword with the strength of his arm. The small diagonal slash contained the sharp lethality of the unique combat method, splitting the scales of the immature scion, and with it,
Cut open with flesh and blood.
"It worked!"
"Watch your back!"
Another heir swung its tail blade to stab Hilo, but only a "bang" sound was heard. The tail blade seemed to be struck on transparent steel and bounced away. The stream of light showed several translucent figures in front of Hilo.
A shield composed of regular hexagons.
Trick·Magic Shield·Level 3 Cast.
"The three fifth-level people over there didn't even take action. Why are you, a third-level adventurer, so impulsive?"
Sasha held up her staff and ran to Hero. The two stood back to back, facing the two approaching descendants of Archeones.
"Thank you for your help!"
"Hmph, it's not a big deal. With a genius auxiliary mage like me to protect you, it's easy."
"That's so reliable."
Olive was still standing where she was. She glanced at the positions of Hero and Sasha, and then looked at the two people in front who were still suppressing Achaionis. She turned the page of the book, leaned down, and dipped one hand into the pool of water on the ground.
In water.
No one stood in the water. This was a plan discussed from the beginning.
The page stops at one of the pages: Preparing to chant.
Second level spell·Thunder Glove·Fourth level casting.
Omitting the step of chanting the spell, the electric current rushed from Olive's fingertips, through the ether-rich water, and directly flowed to Achaeonis, who was being suppressed by the restraining angel.
But Achaiones' figure only paused slightly, without any further effect.
"Is the skin made of insulating material? Trouble."
The rays that bind Angel's continuous hits make it look quite embarrassing, but as the lair master's ability, it can extract the ether in the cave and continuously heal itself with water-attribute abilities, so it is not fatal. It takes time to accumulate enough damage.
Although the three of them have fifth-level strength in their respective fields and can suppress Achaionis, the delay in launching a killing blow is always a hidden danger.
In one breath, Olive came to a conclusion and then let go of the book.
"Hurry up." The elf sighed softly.
To be continued...
