Chapter 14 Bifurcation(1/2)

When Alien stands at a fork in the road, he will want to see the scenery further away on both sides of the road. However, no matter how he looks, there is always a gap of unknown darkness between the present and the unpredictable future.<

/p>

Left or right, two different roads.

"Which way to go?" Arion asked Olive.

"Either way...it seems to be fine." Olive opened her true pupils and scanned the two roads, then hesitantly said, "The flow of energy is divided to both sides, and then gathered together in the distance."

"Toss a coin to decide? Hilo, borrow a coin."

Shiloh silently took out a piece of platinum.

The shining gold coin came to Alien's hand. On the front were numbers and thorns, and on the back was a smiling traveler's head.

"Who is this avatar?"

"Traveler Xin, the person who traveled the earth and connected the stars in the world, the founder of the Adventurer's Guild." Shiloh answered him.

"Nice to meet you, Xin."

The gold coin was thrown high and rolled and rotated in the air. Alien smiled confidently, reached out to grab the gold coin and quickly covered it on the back of his other hand.

Ding ding dong dong.

The gold coin fell on the ground and rolled into the road on the right, drawing a semicircle in a graceful arc. Then it flopped on the ground twice and stopped moving.

On the back, the traveler's head smiles silently.

Alien's smile never faded, "Xin decided for us, it's on the right! Let's go!"

After saying that, he walked out immediately.

"Did he just want to put the gold coin on the back of his hand?" Sasha asked Shiloh in a low voice.

"It shouldn't be the case. The platinum almost fell to the ground before Alion covered his hand. It must have been a joke on purpose. It was such a simple action." Shiloh explained to Sasha with a gentle smile. He even wanted to give this unique and interesting person

Applause for the performance.

They said and followed Alien in front.

Olive sneered softly and strolled towards them, her black dress swaying gracefully and melting into the darkness.

The four of them reached the end of the corridor, and there was another door standing there.

At the end of the passage is the door, the Dark Door.

"Although I know we will have to go in soon, there is something I have to ask." Alion spread his hands, "You are talking about this ancient ruins and ancient civilization. Don't they have house numbers in their buildings? Will they not get lost?"

"There is a conjecture that the Hilko civilization has a developed neural network that allows them to avoid physical written communication. The excavated ancient ruins of Hilko all have similar characteristics. Academic circles call this extremely simple architectural style

Hilko style." Olive said slowly, touching the wall of the corridor.

Seeing Alion looking at her in surprise, Olive tilted her head, her black hair swaying, "What's wrong?"

"I'm a little surprised to hear the buzzword 'neural network' in your mouth."

"Do you have a similar concept in your world? The Explorers Association has a small-scale application based on ancient ruins. Although the principle has not been fully understood, the Elegance and Stargazing Academic Societies are trying to make imitations to achieve long-distance communication. I remember they are in charge of that

The project is called 'Ethernet'."

"I'm so excited to talk about this. I'm the kind of person who can't disconnect from the Internet!"

"If you are dependent on the Internet, you will not have too many friends, right?"

"Haha, Miss Elf, what kind of age prejudice are you doing?"

"Oh, the insights accumulated over the years will always hit the nail on the head."

Both of them laughed and looked very happy.

"I always find it difficult to get in their conversation." Sasha said to her partner who was also unable to get in.

Shiloh smiled innocently.

The brief conversation made the original tense atmosphere dissipate a lot. After getting ready, the four of them walked towards the dark door. Shiloh still walked in front, crossed the door, and the cold light shone on his face.

Then it fell.

The panic lasted for less than a tenth of a second. He quickly saw the situation around him clearly. The door appeared about four meters above the wall, forming a vertical gap from below.

As he fell, Shiloh relied on his muscles to forcefully twist his body, sink his center of gravity, and land firmly on the ground.

"Ugh!" Sasha screamed and fell down. When Shiloh subconsciously wanted to help her, she turned over dexterously in the air and landed silently.

Then Alien fell. Although he panicked much longer than Shiloh, he also tried to take a posture in the air to prevent the impact of falling - Shiloh shook his head as he looked at it. He quickly caught Alien with steady hands.

Support Alion's shoulders and thighs steadily.

Eyes facing each other.

Alion gave his elder brother a mighty look of gratitude.

Shiloh smiled as if to say you're not hurt.

"Wow!" "Oops."

Olive landed easily, and she and Sasha were watching the scene of deep brotherhood.

Sasha was slightly in a trance.

The deserted light around seemed to be getting warmer.

The fragrance of flowers, delicate little flowers, oh! lovely roses.

She felt as if something new was sprouting inside her.

"It's great to be young."

Looking at the three people, the elf sighed.

Then, her true pupils lit up, and Olive looked around.

This is a square and square room, unlike the empty, pure white room that had an incredible sense of infinite extension when it housed ancient relics. This room is more like a clean and concise laboratory, with items placed in the room.

Several large instruments in the shape of octagonal columns are connected to the operating table. The instruments are placed together to form a round platform.

The surrounding walls are made of the same material as the corridor walls, but the colors are slightly different, and there are no strange patterns. Two doors are facing each other on both sides of the room, and one is the door through which four people came in.

The wall is connected to the ceiling, and the ceiling is divided into several neatly arranged squares. The two sides are lined up with the wall, leaving only a standing path that is not divided into the grid plate on both sides of the door.

A seemingly inconspicuous room with no purpose—except that it is upside down.

For four people, the coffered ceiling is the floor, and the floor with instruments is the ceiling.

It was turned upside down like the tower they saw, or in other words, it was because they entered the upside down tower that this scene could be established.

"Are there any ancient relics that need to be stored here?" Sasha stood next to Olive.

"...No, no ancient relics with concepts have been found, but this place itself is an ancient relic. It is not surprising that things beyond common sense will happen. Stay alert and let's get out from there."

Olive raised her hand and pointed to the door on the other side of the room.

Then, just walk over.

Shiloh looked at the neatly arranged squares in front of him and intuitively said that things were not that simple.

"Wait a minute." Alien took out the gold coin he took from Shiloh and handed it to Shiloh, "Here, put a mark."

Shiloh took it, and the rune on the back of his right hand lit up, and then the gold coin was taken away by Alien. He suddenly threw the gold coin out. The gold coin fell on a row of grids in front of them. It bounced once, twice, and disappeared.

reaction.

"It looks like there's no problem." Olive took a step forward and walked to the grid in front.

Suddenly the grid lit up with a green light, and then the number 3 appeared in the middle of the grid.

Olive quickly deployed the magic shield.

Stand ready.

There was silence, the green light and numbers continued to appear, and then nothing happened.

"Is there anything?" Sasha stepped forward worriedly.

"No, wait..."

Before Olive finished speaking, she saw Sasha pause and stop at the edge of the grid where Olive was standing - as if she had hit an invisible wall.

"It hurts..." Sasha covered her small red nose and took two steps back. "What did I hit?"

"The transparent wall, no, it's a barrier." Olive put her hand above the edge of the grid, as if there was an invisible wall blocking her inside the grid.

"Huh? What... uh, why did the barrier suddenly appear?" Sasha expressed shock. She punched the air wall hard, but the barrier didn't move at all.

Olive thought for a while, then she began to chant a spell softly, and a ball of water gathered in front of her. She clenched her fists, and the ball lost its shape and fell. When the water reached the edge of the grid, it was blocked by the barrier, and the water level rose to O.

Liv's ankles were soaked in her boots.

"Hmm... what do you think? Alien." Olive in the grid asked.
