Chapter 71 Miss and I and the Phantom Thief(1/2)

In July, under the bright sunshine, Xinhongmu Magic Power Station was bustling with activity.

Laya, the daughter of Hagrid's family, watched her brother leave on the train. Before her reluctance could fade away, another train pulled into the station.

The car door slowly opened, and a handsomely dressed young man walked out of the car. His handsome appearance and upright posture attracted Laya's attention.

The gray-haired young man glanced around proudly, and after straightening his clothes, there was no mess at all.

Behind him, a brown-haired woman who looked like a servant was carrying two large suitcases. She had an ordinary face and was wearing simple clothes and was tall. She hurriedly followed the young man who was walking out by himself. Then she put the suitcases on the ground tiredly and took a big breath.

The young man took out the exquisite cane from the brown-haired woman's suitcase and propped it on the ground.

"So," his voice was graceful, "this is Xinhongmu, the capital of adventure."

"Yes, this is Xinhongmu, Caesar..." The brown-haired woman gasped.

The young man who was called Caesar frowned and tapped the ground with his stick in dissatisfaction.

"Don't call me by my name," he paused, "Miss."

"You still know that I am a lady!"

"The lady is joking," Caesar smiled slightly, and then looked solemn, "I, Caesar Alexander Barca Bonaparte, once swore an oath to protect Miss Rose to the death!"

"You should carry the box for me before you defend me to the death! At least carry your own box!"

Caesar covered his mouth and nose, bent over and coughed twice.

"I have been weak and sick since I was a child. Thanks to the young lady's father, I saved my life. I just carry a suitcase, just leave it...cough cough cough cough cough!"

Rose's eyes twitched, "Forget it, I'll do it."

"I'll do as you say." Caesar puffed out his chest and spoke calmly.

"Otherwise!"

Strange two people.

As if noticing Raya's gaze, Caesar turned to look at her. Raya quickly looked away and prepared to leave.

Behind Laya, a man wearing a hat covering his face walked out quickly. He moved his wrist, and when he reached Laya, he pretended to accidentally bump into the girl.

Laya only felt her body stagnate, and then she lost her center of gravity and fell to the ground.

The man who hit me didn't stay much longer, left a vague words that seemed to be an apology, and walked away quickly.

"Ouch." Laya held on to her arm that had touched the ground and looked at the retreating figure with some annoyance.

Rose noticed the accident not far away. She walked to Raya, stretched out her hand, and asked with concern.

"Are you okay?"

"Thank you." Laya held the other person's hand and stood up, tidying up her clothes a little shyly, "I didn't pay attention to the front either."

"Don't blame yourself, you can't avoid it." Caesar also stepped forward and said with a smile, "After all, the other party bumped into you on purpose."

"Huh?" Laya looked at Caesar with confused eyes.

Caesar pointed at her collar and sighed deeply, "I bumped into you on purpose to steal your necklace. His movements were very skillful. He must be a habitual offender!"

Such a sigh.

Laya's face turned pale and she immediately checked the necklace around her neck - there was no trace of the purple crystal that should have been hanging on the leather rope.

Her mind went blank for a moment.

"Grandma's relic..."

"Have you seen everything?" Rose stared at Caesar, the corners of her eyes twitching again.

"Miss, you know that." Caesar smiled confidently, "Although I am frail and sick, my eyesight is very good. My doctor friend who checks me regularly all praises my eyes, saying they are the most charming eyes he has ever seen.

Without saying a word, Rose spread her legs and ran in the direction of the man who knocked down Raya.

I pushed through the flow of people who had not yet left the train, running and shouting.

"Give way! Give way! There is a thief ahead!"

The man in front noticed the movement caused by Rose. He suddenly pushed away the people around him and ran quickly outside the station.

Rose chased after her. She had been trained by a neurotic servant of hers since she was a child, and she had developed endurance far beyond that of ordinary people.

Caesar looked at Rose's running appearance with relief, "My master's soul in heaven must be very happy to see the young lady looking so energetic!"

"My father is not dead yet!" A roar broke out from the crowd.

Caesar turned to look at Laya, who was hiding her face and was about to cry. He couldn't bear such a delicate look, so he spoke out to comfort her.

"Don't worry too much." He persuaded softly, "Rose is in good health and will be fine."

Raya raised her head, and the tears that were almost shed were withdrawn into her eye glands.

The next moment I burst into tears.

I don’t know if I cried out of anger.

"Aren't you... going to take care of your young lady?" Laya asked crying.

Caesar looked at Laya with a blank expression. He shook his head, straightened his clothes and looked serious.

"As a person, you must pay attention to your identity. I don't like to cross the line."

Suddenly Caesar's figure flashed.

He also noticed it, sighed with emotion, and then rolled up his sleeves.

"It seems that you can't rely too much on others for some things after all. The lady is looking for me," he looked at Raya, "Please take care of our luggage."

The next moment, he disappeared from the same place - the original location was suddenly empty.

Ten minutes later, Raya, who was in a daze, saw the pair of master and servant walking from a distance.

Rose looked tired and her clothes were messy, while Caesar walked in front of Rose with his head held high. He was neatly dressed, with his sleeves down and not even a single bang in his hair.

"Give her the thing." Caesar ordered Rose behind him.

Rose silently handed over the purple crystal in her hand.

"I'm sorry," Rose smiled at Raya, "I only took back the things, but no one was caught."

After saying that, she glanced at Caesar and said, "It's all because of some people who got in the way."

Caesar looked at Rose calmly and said: "Please don't blame this lady."

Pointing at Raya.

"The person I'm talking about is you!"

"Oh, I am a person who never considers the consequences when doing things."

"There's no need to be proud!"

Looking at this strange pair of master and servant, Laya burst out laughing suddenly. She put away the purple crystal handed over by Rose and bowed solemnly to thank her.

"Thank you for helping me get it back. It means a lot to me. Oh, my name is Raya."

Rose introduced herself, and by the way, Caesar, whom they brought from Stargazing, in order to participate in the upcoming Explorers Association's entrance exam.

"Explorer! My grandfather was very obsessed with ancient civilizations. He collected many related things. Under his influence, I was also very interested in ancient civilizations." Raya said excitedly.

"My family members are researchers of Silko civilization! I have also been affected a lot!" Rose took Raya's hand.

The two discovered that they had something in common with each other and had a good chat for a while.

At Raya's strong invitation, Raya paid the bill and the three of them had lunch together.

Laya also has a preliminary understanding of Rose and Caesar.

Rose's parents are bachelors from Stargazing Territory. Her grandfather served as a member of the Star Pavilion Council and is considered a well-known family. Caesar is an adopted child of their family. They plan to join the Explorers Association and use the resources of the association to better carry out the exploration of ancient civilizations.

Related work.

"The association exam only comes once every three years. We missed it last time and didn't take part. This time we are ready to challenge the association exam," Rose said.

"Awesome!" Laya couldn't help but be fascinated as she listened to their stories. "I also thought about joining the Explorers Association, but the association's exams are notoriously difficult. Only a dozen people joined the association after each exam. I

It’s definitely impossible.”

"How could it be? You should try it too, there is nothing wrong with trying!" Rose encouraged.

Then her eyes signaled the servant to quickly say something to support her.

Caesar sat upright and ate elegantly. When he noticed Rose's eyes, he picked up a napkin and wiped his mouth.

"Do you know the life of Nietzsche, the current president of the Society of Explorers?"

Raya noticed that even Rose was looking at Caesar in surprise.

"Do you know President Nietzsche?"

Caesar was silent for a while, closing his eyes as if lost in memories, then he sighed and spoke.
