Chapter 2 The Captain of the Lost Home

This is not the first time Zhou Ming has passed this door and came to "opposite".

Since a few days ago, Zhou Ming woke up and found that he was trapped in his room by some "visibility". The strange fog obscured the entire world, he discovered this strange place "opposite" of the gate.

After all, that door is now the only exit in his "room".

He still remembers the confusion and helplessness when he pushed open the door and saw the deck outside, and also remembers the shock and panic when he first lowered his head and saw that he had changed his body. But after that, in order to find a chance to break through the predicament, he had already boldly explored "here" several times successfully. Although he still has not figured out what was going on with him, nor what was going on with this weird big ship that appeared outside his "door", at least, he has mastered some experience and has some preliminary understanding of the ship.

Like the previous few times, Zhou Ming forced himself to get rid of the dizziness caused by passing through the door as short as possible, and then confirmed the condition of this body immediately. He checked the short gun in his hand, compared the memory to all the details, and finally confirmed that the items he carried were consistent with the last time he left the deck.

“…It seems that every time I pass through this door, my body will 'seasonally switch'… If I could just place a camera on the deck, I can confirm whether the body will change when I push open the captain's door and return to the apartment room…

"It's a pity that the items of the two 'worlds' cannot pass through the gate, and they cannot take the camera over...

"But before the phone I put in the apartment, I recorded the scene when I passed through the door from there. I did walk through the black fog myself... So it was true that my body "changed" into this when I passed through the black fog?"

Zhou Ming mumbled. He knew that he might be a bit funny to outsiders when standing on the deck like this, but he had to make some noise, on this strange ghost ship that was empty and deserted... he needed some evidence to prove that he was still "alive".

A fishy sea breeze blew across the deck, blew the black and blue captain's suit of unknown material. Zhou Ming sighed softly, but instead of walking towards the deck, he turned around and looked at the door behind him.

He put his hands on the door handle.

Turn the handle and push the door open inside, he will see a thick gray-black fog. When he passes through the thick fog, he will return to his single apartment where he has lived for many years.

He used force in his hand and pulled the door outward.

The slightly heavy oak door creaked, and inside the door was a slightly dim cabin. In the dim light, you can see the exquisite tapestries hanging on the walls, racks of decorations, and a wide sailing table in the center of the room. There is also a small door located in the deepest part of the room, with a burgundy carpet in front of the door.

Push the door open and you will return to your single apartment. Pull the door open and it will be the captain's room - the latter is obviously the "normal facility" on this ship.

Zhou Ming walked into the captain's room. When he passed by the door, he looked left habitually - a mirror that was tall and tall was fixed on the wall next to him, and in the mirror, it clearly reflected what "Zhou Ming" is now.

He was a tall man with thick black hair, majestic short beards, deep eye sockets, and his appearance alone seemed to have aura of being arrogant without anger. He seemed to be over forty years old, but his heroic appearance and oppressive eyes seemed to blur this sense of age, and the well-made captain's uniform showed the special identity of the person in the mirror.

Zhou Ming moved his neck and made a face in the mirror. He felt that he was an easy-going and friendly person, and the image in the mirror was really not in line with his temperament, but soon he gave up this attempt because he felt that he did not seem friendly in the mirror, but instead went from a majestic captain to a more psychopathic serial killer...

While Zhou Ming was doing these movements, a slight cracking sound came from the direction of the navigation table. He looked in the direction where the sound came, and saw a wooden goat-headed statue placed on the table turning his face toward him little by little - the inanimate wooden block seemed to come alive at this moment, and the obsidian eyes embedded in the wooden face were staring at this side.

The panicked memories of the first time I saw this strange scene flashed through my mind, but Zhou Ming just raised his lips and walked towards the navigation table. The wooden goat head on the table also turned its neck little by little. A hoarse and gloomy voice came from its wooden cavity: "Name?"

"Duncan," Zhou Ming said calmly, "Duncan Abnomar."

The sound of the wooden goat head instantly changed from hoarse and gloomy to warm and friendly: "Good morning, Lord Captain, I'm glad to see that you still remember your name - how are you feeling today? How are you in good health today? Did you sleep well last night? I hope you had a good dream. Also today is a good day to set sail, the sea is calm, the wind is suitable, cool and comfortable, and there are no annoying navy and noisy crew members, Lord Captain, you know a noisy crew member..."

"You're already noisy enough," Although it was not the first time to deal with this weird goat head, Zhou Ming still felt his brain trembling at this moment. He almost glared at the guy with a fierce look, and his voice squeezed out from his teeth, "Quiet."

"Oh, oh, oh, of course, Captain, you like quietness. Your loyal first mate and second mate, sailor and sailor and lookout are very clear about this. There are many benefits to keeping quiet. There was once a medical field...or maybe philosophy or architecture field..."

Zhou Ming now felt that not only his brain was trembling, but even his bronchials began to tremble: "I mean, order you to keep quiet!"

When the word "command" was released, the goat's head finally calmed down.

Zhou Ming breathed a little relieved and stepped to the sailing table to sit down - now, he is the "captain" of this empty ghost ship.

Duncan Abnomar, a strange name and a difficult last name.

The moment he first passed through the black and gray mist and stepped on the ship, he knew that this body he was on "here" was named Duncan, that he knew that he was the owner of the ship, that the ship was sailing on a long journey far beyond his imagination - he knew this, but only that.

The memories in his mind were so blurry and thin that there were only the key passages mentioned above, and the details were completely blank, as if he knew that the ship had an amazing sailing plan, but he had no idea where it was going. The ship's original owner, the real "Duncan Abnomar", seemed to have died a long time ago.

The things that remained in Zhou Ming's mind were more like the strongest and most profound "impression" left in the world after a ghost captain's complete death.

Instinct tells Zhou Ming that there are big problems behind the identity of "Captain Duncan", especially in the case of supernatural phenomena (talking wooden goat heads) on the ship. The mystery in Captain Duncan may even mean some danger he had never imagined, but he had to bear the name to move safely on the ship.

Because just like the wooden goat head just now, something on this ship is trying to confirm the "captain's identity" at any time.

Even the ship itself is confirming the captain's identity at any time.

This gives people the feeling of some kind of insurance measure, as if the captain of the ship may really forget his name at any time. Once he forgets his name, something extremely terrible and dangerous will happen, so he has to set up "inspection methods" everywhere on the ship.

Zhou Ming didn't know what consequences would be if "Captain Duncan" had forgotten his name, but he believed that there would be no good consequences if he said his name wrong.

After all, even if it is just the wooden goat head on the navigation table, it doesn't look like a kind person.

But if I were under the name Duncan Abnomar, then everything on this ship would be quite amiable.

Anyway, they don't look very intelligent.

Zhou Ming—maybe he should be called Duncan. Duncan ended his brief meditation and memories, and then looked at the spreading chart on the table.

However, there is no route to identify on the chart, and the marks or land, or even an island, and only large pieces of undulating gray and white clumps can be seen on its rough and thick parchment paper surface. Those gray and white things, like mist, seem to cover the original route on the paper. The only thing that can be seen in the middle of the chart is a silhouette of a ship looming in the thick fog.

Duncan (Zhou Ming) has not had any experience in sailing out for the past few decades, but even those who don’t know the charts will definitely know that the “normal” charts do not look like this.

Obviously, like the wooden goat head on the table, this chart is also some kind of supernatural object - but Duncan has not yet summarized its usage rules.

It seemed that I noticed that the captain's attention was finally on the chart. The head of the goat that had been quiet on the table for a long time finally changed again. It began to make a sound of rubbing wood, and its neck twisted slightly. At first, it was twisting more restrained, but soon the rubbing movement reached an unignorable level. In the end, the whole guy's head began to start on the base like a vibration mode.???.

Duncan was afraid that this guy would drill wood to make fire on his sailing table if he continued to pump, so he couldn't help but look at it: "Say."

"Yes, Captain - I want to emphasize again, today is a good day to set sail, the Lost Country is waiting for your order as always! Are we going to raise the sail?"
