Chapter 6: Finally entering Xuanqi Sect

Those who enlighten are my heart.
There is a way that means one person understands one’s own mind, and it can only be understood and difficult to convey.
Each of us has different insights, perception, understanding and analysis abilities in this world. Although these abilities can also be improved through exercise, it only increases the overall lower limit, but also increases the upper limit, margin, and depth of talent, which is irreversible to human power.
Whether it is Buddhism, Confucianism, or Taoism, you must pass the word "enlightenment" level at the end of your cultivation.
Starting from the initial learning: learning is to know. Once you know more, you will be able to understand. Only when you reach the extreme can you think, and only when you think until the end... can you realize it.
Of course, if you are a god who is reincarnated, and the gods descend to earth, and you will be enlightened when you encounter something, and you will be enlightened when you understand it. If you practice a thousand miles a day...then you are cruel, it is not an exaggeration to call you a "innate master".
But most of the people who seek the Tao in this world are ordinary people, and they still have to start with "learning" and move up step by step.
The stone steps in front of the Xuanqi Sect Mountain Gate symbolize this "road to seeking the way". Due to the different understandings of each person, the difficulty of climbing up is also different.
When you first walked up to this stone stairs, it was the stage of "learning".
At this stage, every time a person takes a step on this stone step, he will feel like he is stepping on an irregular object. If he is not careful, he will slip. However, when he looks at it with his eyes, he cannot see any unevenness in the stone step.
When you gradually adapt to this change and reach the node of "knowledge", you will enter the next stage, that is, to the path of "opening".
In this section, in addition to retaining the "irregular pedaling feeling" in the previous stage, the "gravity" on each stone step will also change: perhaps when you take a step, you still feel like you are trapped in mud, and you have to take a lot of effort to lift your knees, but in the next step, if you use the same force to lift your legs, you will lift them too high and too hard and lose balance.
This change between "light" and "heavy" is also random, and those who have reached the level need to slowly understand and adapt to it...
If you even adapt to this, you can move on to the last part, that is, the part that goes from "to communicate" and "think".
From here, in addition to the abnormalities of the stone steps, the environment around you will also begin to change. There will be a very strong mountain wind blowing beside you, and the wind will continue to change direction. A thin layer of frost will appear on the surface of the stone steps under your feet, which will make it easier for you to slip when you step on it.
And if you finish this section, you will see the top of the mountain.
Some people may ask, how can we reach the top at the stage of "thinking"? What about "enlightenment"?
Nonsense, if you have already realized it after walking the mountain road, what else can you call a master?
Furthermore, this stone step is just a tool to test the understanding of the beginner. It does not mean that after you finish this stone step, you have really reached the stage of "thinking". It is nothing more than a rough estimate of the realm you can reach and how many years it will take to reach this realm.
In fact, generally speaking, as long as you can reach the "second stage", even if you pass, it doesn't matter if you can't get up next. If you almost give up, someone will pick you up the mountain.
However, it is not ruled out that people who have the qualifications are really low... even if they can't finish the first stage, there is no way for them like that. Even if Xuanqi Sect forcibly accepts you, you will not be able to learn anything, let you go up the mountain to do chores and waste your life... It's meaningless.
For example, Bai Ruhong, the "Silver Way" back then, was stuck in the "learning" stage; he walked for several days and nights, rolled down countless times, but he really couldn't get on, but he was a very "scheduled" person and refused to give up, looking as if he was ready to die of exhaustion here... The old Taoists of Xuanqi Sect had no choice but to make an exception to lead him up the mountain, teach him a set of introductory martial arts, and counted as a registered disciple.
But this is only one of these special cases for so many years, and to be honest, the people of Xuanqi Sect don’t like Bai Ruhong very much. Because Bai Ruhong’s personality is “indissatisfied” and “natural” style of the Xuanqi Sect is particularly disagreeable, so Bai Ruhong only stayed on the mountain for a few years, and his master found an excuse that “you are more suitable for entering the world” to coax him down the mountain. Before he left, his master repeatedly reminded him not to report the name of “Xuanqi Sect” when he traveled around the world in the future, saying that this sect does not want to have too many connections with the world.
Of course, Bai Ruhong also followed his master's teachings. In the past few decades, he has never mentioned to anyone where he learned his martial arts.
It's a bit too far... Let's talk about Huang Donglai.
Brother Huang is indeed not stupid. Not long after he walked up the stone steps, he figured out the rules of the first stage.
But knowing the rules does not mean you can pass it. Adapting to it requires a process, and you have to practice it. As for how long it takes to master it, it means talent.
Huang Donglai and Sun Yixie are both people who think they are very talented, but they are slightly different in this area.
When Sun Yixiu was learning things, he would usually say "I understand" about something he had only a little understanding of, and then he would go further and further along the way, and reach a strange field that might not even teach him...
Huang Donglai is the type of person who cannot keep up with his brain and knows it is easy to do it. When he learns something, he may really "understand" quickly, but at the theoretical level, he is difficult to do what he already understands.
This is similar to the feeling that everyone here usually watches professional e-sports players playing games live. Maybe when you are a bystander, you have a very clear idea and a master's consciousness. You can give advice to players in a master group from the perspective of God. But when you go up and play by yourself, your mind is blank and the bronze group is operated. If you come to the golden group, you can beat you.
In the end, I could only comfort and convince myself by saying "I just don't have time to practice. If I had practiced hard, I would have been invincible."
However, there is something that Huang Donglai deserves to be recognized. When he is really willing to work hard, or when he has to practice, he can slowly keep his body up with his brain.
At present, he had already drunk "Guiyuan Lu" anyway, and was very physically energetic, and had already walked into the mountain gate. It was absolutely impossible for him to give up the opportunity to "cultivate immortals" and go back. In that case, the hardship he had suffered before would be in vain.
So he gritted his bullet and began his "top" journey.
One day, two days...
By the third day, Huang Donglai's eyes had changed.
As his mentality continues to slip, roll, climb, and slide again, his mindset is repeatedly polished between collapse and revitalization.
Gradually, he became no longer depressed by slipping, nor did he have too much emotional fluctuations due to upward breakthroughs. In a more elegant and concise way, this is called "no surprise when favored or disgraceful". In a more popular and down-to-earth way, it is called "shaking m" that is awakened.
Finally, at dusk on the third day, with the muscle memory, that is, the tactile reaction that has penetrated into the bone marrow, Huang Donglai completely adapted to the first stage of the stone steps, and thus started the second stage...
In theory, whenever he chooses to give up, someone will pick him up the mountain.
but……
Due to the change in mentality, Huang Donglai had no intention of giving up at all at this moment.
The sudden appearance of gravity rules did not shake him any. He just started a new round of exploration and practice more cautiously.
Chun Chenzixin, who was observing him on the mountain, said, "It's bad. I shouldn't have given him Gui Yuanlu. Judging from his attitude, he is preparing to walk for seven days and seven nights."
He guessed right...
Huang Donglai continued to walk like this, and at noon on the sixth day, he successfully arrived at the third stage, which is the last stage.
In fact, he is really lucky. Most people walk on this stone stairs for up to three days. If they don’t give up, they will be thirsty even if they are not exhausted. However, Huang Donglai has more than four days to challenge than others, and he has always been in a state of physical strength.
The key is that his mentality has not collapsed, or he has not given up completely after it collapses. He can cheer up every time, which is another important reason why he can keep going.
However, he was unable to finish the stone steps after all.
By the evening of the sixth day, Chun Chenzi couldn't stand it anymore, so he simply airborne and carried Huang Donglai up the mountain, and lied to him, "You have passed the test when you get here, so you don't have to continue."
Huang Donglai believed it, after all, he didn't know what was going on. If he knew, maybe he would also ask, "Uncle Master, I should be able to last a day or two, how about you let me try to reach the top?"
