Chapter 35 The old man who was poisoned

After knowing that the "blood book" was chicken blood and not human blood, the fear in the two boatmen's hearts dissipated and they shouted to wipe off the blood stains to avoid being seen by other boat passengers and causing unnecessary panic.

The second person to meet and talk to was temporarily adjusted to Granny Yan Ling who left a warning message.

Unexpectedly, she had to go back to the ground floor again. Yun Xi rubbed her aching legs and quickly followed Lu Qingfan.

Lu Qingfan subconsciously slowed down his pace, and his handsome back was tinged with a soft light.

Qingguo secretly poked Yun Xi's arm and said silently: Sir, I'm taking care of your steps, miss.

Yun Xi pinched Qing Guo gently with her backhand, signaling her to stay away from Meng Lang, so as not to make Mr. Lu laugh.

How could Lu Qingfan not know the little tricks of the master and servant? His thin lips curled up slightly, and a smile flashed across his face.

Arriving on the first deck, Lu Qingfan instinctively stretched out his hand to Yun Xi behind him, hoping that she could use his strength to come up.

Yun Xi grabbed the guardrail next to her and jumped up lightly. Only then did she turn her head and catch a glimpse of Lu Qingfan's retracted palm.

She wanted to say thank you, but saw that Lu Qingfan was already walking forward as if nothing happened. It seemed a bit abrupt to mention it again, so she touched the tip of her nose and quickly followed.

Lu Qingfan knocked on the door of a room, but the one who opened the door was not Granny Yan Ling's master and apprentice, but a boat girl with half exposed shoulders and heavy makeup.

"Hey, do you need it too, sir?" The woman was like a boneless fairy, taking two steps forward and wanting to hook Lu Qingfan's neck.

Unexpectedly, his neck was not hooked, but it touched the cold hilt of a sword.

"Sorry, I knocked on the wrong door." Lu Qingfan took two steps back, his face darkened, and his magnetic voice contained a warning of "keep away from strangers".

"Your Majesty, aren't you here to see me?" The woman's eyes were as charming as silk, and she still didn't intend to let go of the handsome Lu Qingfan, but was interrupted by a burst of laughter.

She turned her head and saw Yun Xi's master and servant who were silent at the side. It was Qingguo who laughed out loud.

"Hey," the woman curled her lips, immediately put away her flattery, and pulled her clothes back over her shoulders.

She finally confirmed that Lu Qingfan was telling the truth: he really knocked on the wrong door.

After all, no one would bring a woman to a prostitute, right?

Yun Xi frowned and was amused by the woman's true temperament: "Dare you ask her her name?"

"Chunhua." Knowing that Lu Qingfan was not a guest, Chunhua was actually too lazy to deal with others.

Lu Qingfan breathed a sigh of relief and glanced at Yun Xi gratefully. Fortunately, her master and servant had just rescued him, otherwise he was really afraid that he would not be able to resist and throw the person into the sea.

"Miss Chunhua, which room does Granny Yan Ling live in?" Yun Xi continued to ask.

"Are those two crazy?" Chunhua sneered, pointed to the opposite door, and without even saying hello, she closed the door with a bang.

Yun Xi stuck out her tongue playfully.

"Sister is so fierce." Qingguo was shaken by the sound of the door closing and shrank her neck.

"Blame me for being reckless and remembering the wrong door." Lu Qingfan sighed helplessly.

The three of them knocked on the opposite door again, but no one answered for a long time.

"Is there no one?" Yun Xi asked.

"There is someone," Lu Qingfan said firmly. He heard a slight sound inside the door, and someone must be there.

"Open the door, or I will break down the door and force your way in!" Lu Qingfan warned so sharply that the ship's passengers in several rooms curiously poked their heads out to watch. Among them was the little Taoist priest Xian Xin, who was two rooms away.

But before he could look at it for a moment, a big handbag slipped around Xun Xin's neck and pulled him back.

Yun Xi advised: "Girl, we are not here to embarrass you. We just know the identity of my mother-in-law and want to know some information. Please open the door."

The two tried hard and soft, but there was still no movement in the house. Lu Qingfan was about to forcefully kick in the door.

Suddenly, there was a soft "click" sound inside the door.

One of the little girl's eyes was exposed through the small gap.

The door opened.

"Are you really not here to catch us?" The little girl looked at Lu Qingfan and his party warily.

Yun Xi couldn't laugh or cry, "Girl, have you done something bad?"

The little girl shook her head.

"You haven't done anything bad, why are the officials arresting you?"

After hesitating for a moment, the little girl finally opened the door and invited everyone in.

As soon as she entered the house, the little girl immediately closed the door, fearing that other boat passengers would see what was going on inside the house, and said she should be "cautious".

The rooms of ordinary ship passengers only have one bed, a dining table and stools, and the smell of the latrine is faintly coming from the side of the screen.

On the small couch, Granny Yan Ling turned her back to everyone, knocked her head against the wall, and muttered: "Someone is going to die, someone is going to die..."

"You guys sit down." Miss Yan Ling scratched her head and offered tea calmly.

Lu Qingfan shook his head to signal that he would stop drinking, but Yun Xi sat down at the table without ceremony.

She was good-looking and quite friendly, and it took just a few words to make the little girl put her guard down.

The little girl's name is Fang Nuo, and she is Granny Yan Ling's youngest disciple.

When Fang Nuo first started practicing "Yan Ling Divination", Granny Yan Ling was not what she is now. She was famous for her accurate predictions and her words came true in her village.

But recently, Granny Yan Ling has become in a state of being "sometimes good and sometimes not good".

"I heard that the best doctors in the Ming Dynasty were all in the capital, so I wanted to go to the capital to treat my mother-in-law."

Speaking of this, Fang Nuo's eyes turned red, "Everyone in the village worked together to buy two tickets. Who would have known that a murder would happen!"

She grabbed Yun Xi's arm and said, "We won't be able to reach the capital, right?"

"With my young lady here, you don't have to go to the capital." Qingguo said in a strange tone.

"Qingguo," Yun Xi said to stop him.

She knew that the little maid was still fighting for her injustice over Fang Nuo's refusal to be diagnosed yesterday.

"Why?" Fang Nuo asked in confusion.

"Isn't it safer for my young lady to study in the Valley of Miracle Doctors than to search for famous doctors all over the capital? If another mediocre doctor fails to cure her, she will lose both her wife and her army." Qingguo spoke softer and softer, and glanced secretly. Mr. Lu remained silent for a moment.

"You are not modest."

Yun Xi didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She raised her hand and rubbed the little girl's head, and then said to Fang Nuo, who was still suspicious: "I am proficient in medical skills. I can look at my mother-in-law first. If you feel that my opinion is inappropriate, then go to the capital to seek medical advice." It’s never too late for a famous doctor.”

"Is it the Valley of Miracle Doctors, which is very close to the East China Sea?" Fang Nuo asked in a low voice.

Seeing Yun Xi nodding in acquiescence, Fang Nuo changed his previous doubts and asked excitedly: "We in Yanling Village have also heard of the name of the Valley of Miracle Doctors! Miss Yun, please look at my master!"

If you can really get Yunxi's treatment, why bother to go far away and go to the capital to suffer such twists and turns?

Yun Xi walked up to Granny Yan Ling and stretched out her hand to block the old man's forehead. She couldn't hit the wall, but hit the back of her hand again and again.

Yun Xi said to Qing Guo: "Bring me a soft cushion."

The human head is not an iron ball. If the old man is allowed to bang against the wall like this, his forehead will swell sooner or later.

Qingguo responded and fixed a soft cushion on the wall with nails in a few clicks.

Taking advantage of Qingguo's busy work, Yunxi, who had freed her hands, had already begun to diagnose Granny Yan Ling's pulse.

As a disciple, Fang Nuo was not as thoughtful as Yun Xi, and his wheat-colored face turned red with shame.

Except for Granny Yan Ling's murmurs, no one spoke a word in the room.

Yun Xi coaxed the old man to turn his head in a low voice, then looked at Granny Yan Ling's tongue and face, and then touched the back of the old man's head.

She took back her hand and spoke two words to the anxiously waiting crowd: "It can be cured."

Fang Nuo stood up in surprise, "That's great, Miss Yun! My master, what disease does she have and can it be cured?"
