Chapter 114

Get the 1st time

After eleven o'clock at night, Ling Jiuze came over.

Su Xi held down his hand that was under the quilt and said softly, "It's not convenient today."

Ling Jiuze understood, and withdrew his hand. Hearing that something seemed wrong in her voice, he turned on the bedside lamp and found that her face was abnormally pale.

His eyes lost their usual luster and looked wilted, like a wilted little rabbit.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable?" The man sat beside the bed and touched her forehead.

"Well, it hurts every time." Su Xi was dizzy from the light and closed her eyes immediately.

"Then lie down." Ling Jiuze covered her with the quilt, turned off the light, got up and went out.

Su Xi felt a little empty in her heart. Coupled with an uncomfortable stomach, she felt sleepy for a while.

"I turned on the light." The man walked to the bedside and turned on the light.

Su Xi squinted her eyes and saw that he was holding a bowl with black and red soup in his hand. She smelled the rich smell of brown sugar and ginger.m.

I don't know how long it took, but the door opened again, and a tall man came over and asked in a low voice, "Are you asleep?"

Su Xi suddenly opened her eyes and looked at the man in the darkness, wondering why he came back again?

A trace of uneasiness flashed across Ling Jiuze's face, "Yes, it's my first time cooking it. I wonder if I can drink it?"

Su Xi sat up, took the bowl, and took a sip. It was very hot, followed by spicy and sweet taste. She choked and almost threw the bowl away.

Ling Jiuze sat beside the bed, under the dim light, with soft eyebrows and eyes, "I asked the doctor and he said that he could boil brown sugar and ginger water to relieve the pain. You can drink some and try it."

Su Xi raised her eyebrows unexpectedly, "Did you cook it?"

Ling Jiuze frowned, "The doctor said to put more. I saw a bag of brown sugar in the cabinet and put it all in. I put a whole piece of ginger. Is there a problem?"

Su Xi, "..."

"What's wrong?" Ling Jiuze saw that her expression was wrong.

Su Xi raised her head and asked, "How much brown sugar and ginger did you put in?"

"If it doesn't taste good, don't drink it." Ling Jiuze saw that she was looking miserable with her head down, so he thought the sugar water was hard to drink, so he reached out to take the bowl in her hand.

"It's okay." Su Xi hid for a moment, holding back a smile and looked at the man, "Although there's a little more sugar in it, it's still drinkable."

She was inexplicably reminded of a movie by Zhou Xingxing, in which Laifu wrongfully accuses the young lady of the Qi family of poisoning her, saying that she was poisoned by half a kilogram of arsenic. A large bag of arsenic was poured into a soup can, making it as sticky as porridge.

She wanted to laugh a little, but couldn't hold it back, and the hand holding the bowl shook.

Su Xi puffed up her cheeks, blew on the sugar water, and drank it slowly in small sips.

Ling Jiuze sat beside the bed, waiting for her quietly and patiently.

Under the dim light, the girl raised her head, her eyebrows were picturesque, her pink lips were smiling, her pure and soft look was like a wisp of moonlight, breaking through the clouds, stunning the dim night.

Ling Jiuze's long, dark eyes stared at hers, "Then drink."

"Well, thank you." Su Xi's eyes were clear and sincere.

"I'm going to wash the dishes." Ling Jiuze said lightly, got up and walked out.

The sugar water was sweet, bitter, and spicy. Su Xi drank the whole bowl with a normal expression.

Ling Jiuze took the empty bowl and asked warmly, "Is it better?"

Back in the kitchen, the man looked at the half-pot of sugar water left in the pot, frowned, filled half a spoonful, and took a careful sip.

Almost immediately, he vomited it into the sink, frowning, wondering what kind of poison he drank?
