Chapter 4 Dongpo’s beloved waved his hands for Baiyin Mengliu(2/4)

"In the dream, Wang Runzhi told me that she was the love of Su Shi's life." Meng Xinzhi reminded me briefly.

"Wait a minute, the love of Su Dongpo's life?"

Zongji immediately thought of Su Shi's famous poem "Jiangchengzi: A Dream on the Twentieth Day of the First Month of Yimao" written by Su Shi through the ages.

"Ten years of life and death are blurred. If you don't think about it, you will never forget it." Zongji paused, "I remember this song "Jiang Chengzi" was written by Su Dongpo to his first wife Wang Fu. Did you dream about Wang Fu?"

Zongji's eyes were bright, obviously he was really interested in this topic.

"No, Su Shi had two wives, and Wang Runzhi was his stepmother. It was Wang Runzhi I dreamed about."

"I remembered that there is indeed such a number one person. Wang Runzhi is Wang Fu's cousin, right?"

"Yes." Meng Xinzhi responded, "There were three women in Dongpo's life, all surnamed Wang. His first wife Wang Fu, his stepmother Wang Runzhi, and his concubine Wang Chaoyun."

"That's not necessarily the case." Zong Ji gave up.

"Where is it not certain?"

"The concubine of Layman Dongpo's name is Chaoyun and Zixia. Her name and surname were both given by Su Dongpo. She was originally a purchased maid. In this case, it's hard to say whether her surname is Wang or not. Do you think so?

Is this the case?"

Zongji likes to chat with Meng Xinzhi about her dreams, especially those involving ancient Chinese historical figures.

It’s not like topics like Leonardo da Vinci and Mona Lisa.

He didn’t know enough, and he couldn’t possibly talk too deeply.

It would be different if he were replaced by the "very familiar" Su Dongpo.

Regarding the topic of who Su Dongpo's favorite woman was throughout his life, Zongji still had something to say: "Your statement about the love of his life is quite new. Wang Runzhi was the most popular among the three women of Su Dongpo.

It has no sense of existence.”

Zongji explained why he said he had no impression of the name at first: "If you want to say that Layman Dongpo's favorite is Wang Fu or Wang Chaoyun, I can accept it. If you want to say it's Wang Runzhi, it's probably hard to find someone like him."

Someone who resonates.”

Meng Xinzhi fell silent.

Dad's thoughts probably represent the mainstream views.

Zong Ji became interested and began to read and explain Su Shi's "Jiang Cheng Zi" which has been passed down through the ages:

"Su Shi was the first to use words to express mourning."

[Ten years of life and death are boundless, without thinking, and unforgettable. Thousands of miles of lonely tomb, no place to talk about desolation. Even if we meet, we should not know each other, our face will be covered with dust, and our temples will be like frost.]

"My wife Wang Fu has been dead for ten years, but she is still remembered by Dongpo lay people. What is this but the love of my life?"

[At night, you suddenly return home with a deep dream, and you are dressing up outside the small window. They look at each other without words, only a thousand tears. It is expected that the heartache will be broken every year, on a bright moonlit night, there will be short pine trees. 】

"So many details of life, so many memories of the past, and these thousands of tears, if it wasn't the love of my life, how could it come from being heartbroken every year?

"If I were to choose one of the three women of Layman Dongpo to be my true love, I would choose Wang Fu. No matter how bad it is, it would be Wang Chaoyun."

"Didn't some people say that "Drinking on the Lake at First Sunny and Later Rain" is about the encounter between Su Dongpo and Wang Chaoyun?"

[The clear water is beautiful when the water is shining, and the mountains are also strange when they are empty and rainy. If you want to compare the West Lake to the West, it is always appropriate to put on light makeup and heavy makeup. 】

"What a beautiful artistic conception?"

"Wang Fu, who has lived and died for ten years, or Wang Chaoyun, who always looks good with light makeup and heavy makeup, which one is not better than Wang Runzhi who will leave a lasting name through the ages?"

After Zongji finished explaining, he did not forget to add a sentence: "Wang Runzhi only left one eternal infamy, right? She burned 70 to 80% of the poem manuscript Dongpo left at home, right? This is it.

I don’t understand the value of Su Shi’s writing at all! You said that such a person was the love of Layman Dongpo’s life, and your father and I are the first to disagree.”

Rooftop.

moonlight.

Poems are in the distance, words are in my ears.

Meng Xinzhi was quiet and did not interrupt her father's analysis.

Dad’s doubts are also those of Meng Xin.

Before she dreamed of having afternoon tea with her girlfriends, Wang Runzhi, her views on the three women in Dongpo's life were exactly the same as her father's.

Meng Xinzhi's graduation internship project is to plan an exhibition about Su Shi for the museum.

There have been too many exhibitions of Dongpo Lay Buddhists.

She needs to find a new entry point.

In order to design this exhibition, she first needed to understand Su Shi's life.

During the entire process of searching for information, she never paid special attention to Wang Runzhi.

He was not prepared to let Wang Runzhi play a particularly large role in Su Shi's life.

To be honest, Wang Runzhi did not have much of a presence in the information she could find.

In Dongpo's hometown, there are many relics about Su Shi and his father Su Xun and his younger brother Su Che.

The most famous one is undoubtedly the Sansu Temple Museum.

Relics about Wang Fu can be seen everywhere, and there is also a large cemetery.

To this day, almost no trace of Wang Runzhi’s remains can be found in Dongpo’s hometown.

Not only did it leave no traces, but it also only occupied a small proportion among Su Shi's masterpieces handed down from generation to generation.

Not even one of them is "familiar".

It is completely incomparable to those written by Wang Fu and Wang Chaoyun.

But Mengxin just dreamed of Wang Runzhi.

In the dream, she invited Wang Runzhi to a very fashionable afternoon tea with her girlfriends in a very modern building.

I don’t know if there is one in the name. After waking up from the dream, Meng Xinzhi found that she was persuaded by the “best friend” in the dream.

Wang Runzhi in the dream was wearing Song Dynasty clothes and speaking modern language.

It feels a bit like going shopping with a girl wearing Hanfu.

In the dream, Sister Run had very few things to care about.

She didn't mind how future generations would judge her, but she couldn't let go of the title of Su Shi's love in life.

Meng Xinzhi asked Wang Runzhi a question.

It happened to be the one Zongji asked her about just now.

Not too polite, but direct enough.

Meng Xinzhi: "Sister Leon, Wang Fu who has been living and dying for ten years, Wang Chao Yun who always looks good with light makeup and heavy makeup, which one will not leave a name for eternity better than you?"

Wang Runzhi: "Ten years of life and death... only a thousand lines of tears. It took ten years after my cousin died to have a dream, and there were only a thousand lines of tears in the dream. What does it mean? I wrote a letter to Dongpo, and his tears It’s more than just a thousand lines.”

Speaking of this, Wang Runzhi read to Meng Xinzhi a poem written by Su Dongpo to her - "Die Lian Hua·Send Spring":

[Spring looks more beautiful after the rain. As long as you leave people, the hatred will never be washed away. There is water on three sides in front of Beigu Mountain. Biqiong is combed with a green snail bun.]

[A piece of writing from home comes thousands of miles away. Ask me what year it is, and it’s really a plan to return home. Send off the spring with a white head and get drunk. The east wind blows through thousands of tears. 】

Meng Xinzhi saw this song "Die Lian Hua" when collecting information on Su Shi.

In her original concept, this poem was not so much written to Wang Runzhi as it was about Su Shi's own homesickness.

Because they were best friends in the dream, Meng Xinzhi had no scruples and joked directly: "This poem doesn't even mention Sister Runzhi's name. How can you tell that it is written for my sister?"

"It's meaningless for my sister to say that." Wang Runzhi retorted, "The so-called eternal eulogy didn't mention my cousin's name, right?"

"So, "Jiang Chengzi: A Dream on the 20th Day of the First Month of Yi Mao" is not written by Wang Fu?" Meng Xinzhi didn't believe it at all.

"That's not what I meant. Dongpo and his cousin must have respected each other as guests and loved each other." Wang Runzhi gave his own answer: "But he wrote the song "Jiang Chengzi" not so much to miss his cousin. , it’s better to say that I miss my high-spirited self when I was young.”

"It's better to say..." Meng Xinzhi laughed loudly, "I suspect that Sister Runzhi is stealing my sentence structure."

"Aren't you the one who has the final say on what sentence patterns I use in your dreams?" Wang Runzhi cast a sidelong glance at Meng Xin.

Meng Xinzhi scratched her head a little embarrassedly: "It seems so."

"My cousin accompanied Dongpo through the most wanton eleven years of his life. How could he not miss it?" Wang Runzhi returned to the topic.

Although she was a little embarrassed not to side with her best friend, Meng Xinzhi, who has studied cultural relics and museums for many years, was not so easily convinced: "Is that so?"

Wang Runzhi responded with a smile: "I know my sister still doesn't believe it. If you think that writing a eulogy a few years after death represents the love of your life, what Dongpo wrote to me is actually more sincere, and it was not just a thought, but an action. Just because the song "Jiang Chengzi" is the most widely circulated in later generations, you can't think that it is the love of your life."

"Take action?" Dream Heart asked, "What action?"

"Sister, do you know that my title is Tong'an County Lord?" Wang Runzhi asked Meng Xinzhi to confirm.

"Yeah, I know." Meng Xinzhi nodded in response.

"That's ok. You don't have to wait ten years. In the third year after my death, Dongpo wrote me a song called "Die Lian Hua·Tong'an's Birthday: Releasing Fish, Taking the Golden Light Sutra to Save Fish". On the day when I was jealous, On that day, buy fish and release them to pray for me."

Wang Runzhi used the name of this poem to respond to Meng Xinzhi's initial "provocation": "This must mention me, right?"
