Chapter 84: Periscopes and Neon Lights

Ahao left, but he didn't leave completely.

In the studio, he found a brass pipe in the corner of the wall.

The brass tube extended straight upward, turned a corner, and penetrated deep into the wall.

It went all the way through the wall and exposed a small section in the outer hall. This small section of pipe was hidden by the decoration that he used to extend from the ceiling.

Inside the pipe, there are several small mirrors hidden.

This is a device similar to a periscope, a gadget he made yesterday.

Ahao flipped up the mirror that was originally facing down inside the brass tube. His eyes moved to the eyepiece next to it.

A miniature version of the hall appeared in front of him.

Thanks to the outer brass tube being buried at a high position, the entire viewing angle is quite wide.

He saw that there were currently no customers in the store, and Payne was wandering around the long table by himself.

He picked up the perfume and sprayed it on himself twice. Then he showed an intoxicated expression.

Ah Hao left the eyepiece with satisfaction. He didn't mind Payne using perfume. It was put there for people to smell anyway.

The employees approve of the perfumes sold in the store, which is good news.

If the seller does not sincerely believe that what he is selling is good, it will be difficult for others to convince him if he tells it to others.

He knows this very well. For example, he has many bottles of Zunana's perfume, but he doesn't like it very much. Even introducing it feels disgusting to him.

Then the sales of a few bottles of perfume that he didn't like were far worse than others, and the store manager even scolded him for this in the past.

Why do you think of the former store manager again? How unlucky.

Ah Hao shook his head and looked at the several brass tube periscopes next to him.

He doesn't have any special hobbies. The periscope was added purely for safety reasons.

After his careful positioning, he could see all four locations inside the store, outside the door, on the side iron staircase and at the door on the second floor.

The periscope outside the gate was made of the best materials, and the situation outside the street was what he wanted to see most.

He saw a few passers-by sniffing, seemingly attracted by the scent he had just sprayed, but they didn't find his shop yet.

After observing for a while, he turned around and walked towards the refining formation.

Just work hard! Wen De is still waiting for food, waiting for him to provide perfume.

...

In the afternoon, Ahao walked out of the studio.

"How are sales today?"

When making it, he was concentrating on it and didn't really have time to look at the situation in the store.

"Not bad! I actually sold one bottle!"

Payne put his hands on his hips and said to Ah Hao with a little satisfaction.

"Just one bottle?"

Ahao scratched his head and felt that the situation was not ideal.

"How many customers came to the store today?"

"Three!"

He knows what the problem is.

Three customers entered the store and one customer bought it. This shows that his perfume is still competitive.

The problem is that there are so few guests.

He has done research before and found that the commercial street where the store is located has a decent flow of people. So...

"Penn, why do you think the customers don't come to the store?"

He humbly asked for advice. Although he had some guesses in his mind, he felt that Payne, who was on the front line, should have a deeper understanding.

"The main thing is the lack of signboards! And boss, the decoration of your lamp is not good enough. The hamburger sign hanging at the door is still there. I am surprised that someone is buying it."

Payne blurted out without thinking, as if he had already planned it.

"It really is."

Ahao walked outside the store and took a look and found that he had neglected the decoration outside the store.

Now the "Porter's Burgers" sign originally hanging outside the store has been removed, leaving only a few tattered pipes and offset printing.

And the burger-shaped neon sign is still hanging outside the store. It is an abstract neon sign with meat and vegetables sandwiched between two pieces of bread.

Just from the outside, you really can't tell that this store sells perfume.

If he hadn't sprayed the perfume a few times in the morning to attract some customers with the [scent], he would probably have lost everything today.

"Penn, do you know where neon lights like these are made to order?"

He turned around and entered the store and asked about Payne. He could make some things like tables and chairs by himself.

There was really nothing he could do about neon lights. He didn't even "understand" its principles.

"I don't know about that. Mr. Potter must know about this kind of thing. It would be great if he were here."

After thinking for a while, Ah Hao said directly: "That's it for today's trial opening. Let's close the door and go to the bar."

Payne was a little happy at first, but then said a little worriedly: "Boss, I have to pick up my sister from school later. I can only have one drink at the bar."

Ah Hao waved his hand: "It doesn't matter, we are going to meet someone. I will introduce my partners to you later."

"That works!"

Ahao rented a cargo tricycle from the owner of a nearby restaurant for 50 Canadian dollars.

He and Payne carried several boxes of perfume from the studio to the tricycle. Then he loaded up the goods and Payne and rode to Wende's bar.

...

【Abyss Bar】

Ahao pushed open the door and shouted breathlessly to Wen De behind the counter.

"Wende, come and help, your perfume has arrived!"

When Wen De heard this, he raised his head in surprise, "I've finally waited for you, Ah Hao! Where is the goods?"

"It's just outside your shop, come to help unload the goods. I rode a tricycle here, and I'm almost exhausted."

"Come on, come on." Wen De happily threw down the account book and got out from behind the bar.

As soon as he went out, he saw Payne standing next to the tricycle.

"Who is this...?"

"Penn, my store employee."

Then he said to Payne: "His name is Winder. He is an old friend of mine. He is the owner of this bar."

Payne and Wind held their hands together politely.

"Nice to meet you." "Hello, hello."

Payne said with a slight grin on his face. Wen De's strong hand held him a little painful.

"Let's move that guy behind the bar first. I've already cleared a row of shelves at the bar for you to put your perfume."

Payne quickly picked up a box of perfume and walked into the bar.

When Payne entered, Wen De immediately bumped Ah Hao gently with his elbow.

"Hey, now that I'm the boss, I've found all the employees. So the store must be ready, right?"

"Not only is it done, it's a trial opening today." Ahao smiled and picked up a box of perfume.

"By the way, these perfumes are actually not all for you."

"What do you mean?" Wende frowned.

"Boss Qiao, do you remember? There are also one hundred bottles of [Grapefruit Paradise] he ordered."

"Boss Qiao?" Wen De's eyes widened, "Didn't you ditch him and work with Julie?"

"One code is another code. I really don't plan to cooperate with him in the future. But I'd better continue the previous transaction. After all, he helped me in the beginning."

Wen De picked up a box of perfume with one hand, and with his other hand free, he gave Ah Hao a thumbs up.

The two of them were chatting and unloading the goods back and forth.

"Be loyal. Then I will notify him to pick up the goods when the time comes."

"Well, thank you for your hard work. Also, the goods I have prepared for you here are three kinds of perfumes, twenty bottles of each. You can sell them first. You can settle the payment with me when you are finished."

Wen De chuckled, "Does this count as me having sex for free?"

"Why doesn't it count?"

Ah Hao glanced at him and said, "I'm willing to let you have sex for nothing. Boss Qiao, remember to ask him to pay first before picking up the goods. I'm a little afraid that he won't pay after taking the goods."

Wen De spat on the ground with a "poof" sound.

"He is definitely capable of such a thing. He paid for his drinks on credit from me."

After the goods were moved, Wen De was at the counter, mixing a cocktail for Ah Hao and Payne.
