Chapter Thirty-One Establishing the Territory

The "chichi" sound was not loud, but it was very noisy. It sounded like it had a group of owners.

Wang Yang hid behind a big tree and exposed his head. Through the sunlight at the foot of the mountain, he could clearly see a group of small animals on the fruit tree.

This group of small animals has yellow fur all over its body, white fur on its abdomen, and two black furs between the yellow fur and the white fur. They are petite, only a few dozen centimeters long including their tails.

Their mouth shape is long and pointed, how should I say, similar to a fox, generally more like an African hyena, and the nose is partially rounded, like a pig.

Don't think that these are some extinct animals, just a group of civets.

There is nothing much to say about these small animals. They have no lethality to ape-men. What needs to be guarded against is nothing more than stinky farts that are neither painful nor itchy.

Wang Yang had been hit by this trick before. The guy was like a civet cat and could fart, so he was not afraid at all. He rushed over with a wooden spear and kept mumbling.

"Everyone give in, everyone give in. On behalf of the new empire, I declare that this place is occupied and becomes a new colony!"

Wang Yang was as excited as he had discovered a new world, driving away the civets with a stick.

Without any surprise, the civets launched a "poison cannon attack" on him in an attempt to smoke Wang Yang to death.

But how could they have imagined that this person was immune to all poisons in front of food, so they had no choice but to run away in a hurry.

Wang Yang did not pick the fruit first. He was afraid that the civet would come back if he left, so he made a move to establish his territory and peed under the tree.

For beasts that rely on scent to identify their territory, this method is much more effective than driving them away countless times.

After solving these problems, he put the barrel away and climbed up the tree.

Each tree bears hundreds of fruits. The fruits are not big, just like cherries two sizes larger. They are bright red, fresh and attractive.

Wang Yang picked one, put it in his mouth, and took a bite. The fruity aroma suddenly hit his nostrils, and the sweet juice filled his mouth.

He didn't say anything and just mined.

It didn't take long for me to collect a full bucket and two waist bags. Before leaving, I didn't forget to urinate again to deepen the smell.

He calculated that the fruits from these dozen trees, plus the fish the adults usually caught, should be enough to last half a month.

In other words, there is no need to worry about food in the days before winter comes.

And you can do your best to preserve the nuts during this time.

In the following days, you can keep all the food you find and make plans for the future.

After finding a new food source, Wang Yang was in a good mood and hurried back as quickly as possible.

It's getting late now, about one o'clock according to the standard time, so I have to make a few more trips to finish picking the fruits earlier.

He thought and hurried on, and before he knew it, he entered the territory of the saber-toothed tiger.

When he arrived here, Wang Yang seemed very cautious and kept observing the movements around him.

This is not to say that he is timid, but that he has been exposed to "gas bombs" and his smell is very strong, making him easy to detect.

Sure enough, before reaching the No. 1 fruit tree, the saber-tooth tiger popped up.

Wang Yang didn't care about the fruit anymore, put down the barrel and climbed up the tree.

When the saber-toothed tiger under the tree saw Wang Yang again, it roared extremely angry but helplessly. It seemed that this "little orangutan" was determined to eat it, which was really a headache.

Suddenly, it noticed the fruit, walked over curiously, smelled it, growled slightly, and did not eat it. It seemed that it was not the type it liked.

But it couldn't help but eat one, and after taking one bite, it spit it out.

Wang Yang didn't pay attention to it on the tree, and all he could think about was the civet.

"Is this how a civet takes revenge on its opponent? By aggravating the opponent's scent and killing the opponent, you will have no opponent again."

Wang Yang lamented that this trick of killing people with a borrowed knife was so skillful that ordinary animals couldn't compete with them in IQ.

The saber-toothed tiger below did not last long and left in a hurry. When winter came, its life was also difficult and it needed to store food for the winter.

Back in the cave, Wang Yang saw that his friends were not idle. They all surrounded the wooden barrel filled with chestnuts, holding tools such as stone cones, and prepared to blast it forcefully!

"Woo!"

Wang Yang was furious, rushed over, and hit the lid of the barrel with his fist, making a dull "thud" sound.

The friends were startled and turned their heads in confusion, only to see Wang Yang's face flushed, his eyes glaring at them fiercely, and then he kept making "woo woo" signs.

They looked at each other, not thinking that they were mice caught by cats stealing oil, and naturally reached out again.

Perhaps seeing that they really didn't understand, Wang Yang didn't even bother to explain. He smacked away the little hands that were stretched out with a strong attitude, pointed at the full wooden barrel on the other side, and motioned for them to eat that.

Although they were puzzled, they were not picky about food. Seeing that Wang Yang was determined and did not dare to disobey, they went to eat the fruits.

After that, Wang Yang entered the forest again.

The saber-toothed tiger didn't know whether it failed to catch prey, so it appeared in front of Wang Yang dejectedly.

"Roar~"

Faced with the proactive greeting, Wang Yang responded enthusiastically: "Hi~ That's right, buddy, it's me, Brother Wang."

Then he went to pick another basket.

He was familiar with the road and returned quickly.

On the way, the saber-toothed tiger roared again.

"Roar~"

"See you later, buddy."

After calculating the time, it was still early, so he went there again.

"Roar~"

"Dude, it's me again."

"Roar~"

"See you."

He made three trips back and forth in half an afternoon and collected one and a half trees, which was very efficient.

The next day, Wang Yang entered the forest again. There was no doubt that the group of civets had returned and occupied the fruit tree paradise again.

This time Wang Yang was anxious and decided to give them some color.

He hid behind a big tree and slowly lurked closer.

Thanks to the fact that the odor is difficult to wash away, he was about ten meters away from the civets, and they still knew nothing about it and were having a "party" happily.

"Just make a scene..."

Wang Yang stared at a civet that was playing foolishly under the tree with its back to him. He narrowed his eyes and kicked his feet suddenly.

Soon after, Wang Yang rushed over like a bolt of lightning.

Holding the bone spur in his hand, he was as strong as the wind. Years of practice allowed him to sprint five meters in the first second he started running.

At this moment, the civets finally realized that the enemy was approaching, jumped up and down violently, and shouted "chichichi" to warn their companions.

The civet cat that Wang Yang was staring at almost instinctively moved aside.

But Wang Yang had entered full speed at this time, and in the next second, he rushed over, gliding, and the bone spurs under his hands stabbed down fiercely.

"Ji~"

This unlucky civet could not escape the fate of being killed. Sharp bone spurs penetrated its body and stuck to the ground, and its fur was dyed red with blood.

Wang Yang didn't give it any more chance to struggle. He pinched its neck and twisted it hard. There was a "click" sound and there was no breath at all.
