Chapter 48 Uncle Gu’s Collection

After drinking, Zhou Can took Li Weiguo, Zhao Guobing and follower Zhou Bo downstairs to find the old man who had been in postal service during the Republic of China.

The old man’s house is on the first floor of the back building.

After going downstairs, the four of them walked around from the side to the tube building behind.

The old man was quite leisurely and specially built two small vegetable fields in the flower beds on both sides of the door of the first floor.

It's not big, it looks like ten square meters on both sides, and I planted some onions, ginger, garlic and cabbage.

The work was very good, and the seedlings in the field were green and seemed to be taken care of every day.

When he walked to the door, Zhou Can ran over and knocked on the door.

"Dongdongdongdongdong..."

"Who?" The old man's voice came from the room.

"Uncle Gu, I am Zhou Can."

"Boy Can, the door is not locked, come in."

With Mr. Gu's permission, Zhou Can took the lead in pushing the door and the three behind him also followed behind him.

The furnishings in Mr. Gu’s house are relatively simple. Zhang Wei/ren’s avatars, coffee tables, sofas, tables and chairs are all slightly old, but they are tidy and neat, revealing a simple and neat atmosphere.

Mr. Gu is in his sixties and has retired for a while. He usually just takes care of his vegetable fields or walks around the family yard. He knows the children of every household in the yard, and is in good spirits. He wears a reading glasses and is studying there with a book.

Seeing everyone coming in, Mr. Gu looked up at everyone, looked at Zhou Can, and smiled and said, "Boy Can, why are you free to come to the old man today?"

"Don't you miss you anymore? My mother made some meat and vegetables and brought some for you. Don't dislike it." Zhou Can put the lunch box in his hand on the dining table and said to Mr. Gu with a smile.

"Haha... don't dislike it, don't dislike it. Don't be too troublesome next time, I don't lack anything."

Uncle Gu is very happy, and he is still very happy to be missed by others.

He said to Li Weiguo and others again: "You guys come in and sit in, don't be polite."

As he said that, he invited everyone to come in and sit down, poured everyone a glass of water, and took out a box of golden chicken biscuits from the house and distributed them to the four of them for them to eat.

Li Weiguo was not interested in biscuits and gave them to Zhou Bo casually.

Zhou Bo had no resistance to snacks anymore, so he took them and took them. He took the biscuits without hesitation, so he started to chew them directly.

Such good snacks are not eaten frequently in the Zhou family's family.

"I haven't seen these two guys much before. Which hospital is from?"

Li Weiguo's actions attracted Mr. Gu's attention, so he asked about the origins of the two.

"They are my classmates from elementary school to high school. This tall one is Li Weiguo, and this gentle one is Zhao Guobing. I am my partner from elementary school to big. I rarely come to our school. You have never seen it much." As he said that, Zhou Can pointed to Li Weiguo and Zhao Guobing to meet Mr. Gu.

"Oh, good...good...good, good, they are all handsome talents." After looking at the two of them, Mr. Gu nodded with a smile.

"By the way, uncle, my brother Li Weiguo has liked to collect all kinds of stamps since he was a child. I thought that the whole hospital had a complete range of your family, so I brought him to see it. He wanted to change it back to collect it, but I don't know if you are always willing to give up." Zhou Can talked about everyone's purpose.

"Stamps, these things are not cheap. Don't throw them all in if you have some money in your hands. But since you like it, let's show it to you and take away whatever you like."

Mr. Gu is old and collecting stamps is only a matter of work. Every year, the post office has kept them, but they have not collected them specifically. Over the years, a lot of them have been saved.

As he said that, he walked into the bedroom, and after a few minutes he carried out a small box, and put it on the table with a thud.

The box is about 45cmx25cmx25cm in size and can hold a lot of things.

The box was opened, and it was a large stack of stamps, all of which were full versions, while the single ones were placed in the gaps in the corners of the box.

Such old stamps almost blinded Li Weiguo. How long does it take to save so much?

Zhou Can and Zhao Guobing were not interested in these things, so they asked Li Weiguo to get closer and choose by themselves.

Li Weiguo looked up at the old man excitedly and asked, "Uncle, can I take it out and take a look?"

"Haha, it seems that you really like stamps. Just read it, it's no big deal. When I started as a postman, I also liked it very much. Every time I issued new stamps, I would buy some of them myself, and the bureau issued some benefits from time to time. Over the past few decades, I have slowly saved so much." Mr. Gu didn't care about these things, and let Li Weiguo take it as he pleased.

Li Weiguo nodded and took out the stack of stamps from the box.

From the new and old levels of these stamps, it can be roughly seen that they are stored in chronological order.

The upper layer is obviously brand new, while the lower ones are relatively old, and some are even yellow.

There are plastic cloth pads between every few pictures of the entire version, which is well protected.

Li Weiguo spread the whole version of the stamps on the table like poker, starting from the earliest stamps on the left.

It would be fine if I didn't look at it, but I almost jumped up excitedly when I saw it.

There are two versions of the Thin Paper Dragon, one full version of the Thin Paper Dragon, and even the most precious broad-edged dragon has 25 full versions.

All are well preserved, with good quality, no obvious damage or stains.

The full version of Kubian Dalong can be auctioned for a high price of 374,000 pounds within 1991, which is really a treasure among the treasures.

Put these three big dragon stamps aside and continue to look at the stamps behind.

Panlong stamps, here are three versions, the full set of 12 pieces, and the pattern is very beautiful.

The Qing Panlong stamp is a formal ordinary stamp issued by the State Post in the Qing Dynasty in 1897. The complete set is 12 pieces, with three patterns.

Panlong diagram: half a minute (purple), 1 minute (yellow), 2 minutes (orange), 4 minutes (brown), 5 minutes (rose red), 1 corner (dark green);

Carp chart: 2 horns (cross purple), 3 horns (rose red), 5 horns (yellow and green);

Flying geese pictures: 1 yuan (deep red and rose red), 2 yuan (yellow and orange red), 5 yuan (deep green and rose red).

The stamps are listed in English: "IMPERIALCHINESEPOST" (Emperor/Country/China/Mail/Public).

A set of Panlong stamps is worth about 10,000 yuan. Although it is not as valuable as the big dragon, it is also a good collection.

After turning back, there were many stamps that Li Weiguo had never seen or heard of. Skip these stamps, put them aside, and continue to look back.

I picked up and found that I knew many more valuable stamps, such as: stamped with China/China/National/National/National/Shi/Zhong/Lian/Shi/Zhong/Lian stamps, with a large whole version of 46 pieces;

BJ's new sailing 4 points "3 points" has three full versions of the reverse stamp;

Two full versions of Blue Army Post; Three versions of stamps for military/man posting; Six versions of Tian/An/Gate Shining Stamps;

All the rest are newly issued stamps after the founding of the People's Republic of China. They may not be very famous. Li Weiguo has never seen them much, but they are also very beautiful when looking at the patterns.

There are about tens of thousands of stamps in this whole box, and the face value alone is worth thousands of dollars. This old man is really good at saving so many stamps.
