Chapter 6 Strike up a conversation

After introducing the basic situation of Vanilla, Taylor gave Aaron and Philo a complete introduction to the seven people who had been killed before.

Six of the prostitutes who were active in Leitz District all had similar tragic experiences to Vanilla. They were all forced by life to engage in this shady profession, but the remaining Sister Xihuo was different from the other victims.

What do we have in common?

This poor nun was raised by the Xihuo Church and lived in the Leitz Church. She is a pious, kind, and excellent nun, and she is also a Bronze-level Extraordinary. She is regarded by the Bishop of the Leitz Church as the future of the diocese.

.

It was precisely because of her tragic death that Taylor and the military intervened - I heard that the angry Bishop Letts went directly to meet with the Pope, igniting the anger of the entire Sunfire Church.

As the state religion of the empire, the Church of Sunfire has always been known for its martial virtues. If this was not the capital of the empire, Lundini, and if the king, nobles, and parliament were not opposed to the Church of Sunfire interfering in municipal management, the Knights of Sunfire might have set out long ago.

The entire Leitz district took over.

Aaron has dealt with the Knights of the Sunfire before, and he feels that these lunatics are really capable of doing such a thing.

After listening to Taylor describe all the circumstances, Aaron had a more intuitive feeling about the difficulty of this case, because except for the background information of the victim, the place of death, the cause of death and the time of death, Taylor could not tell anything.

!

Aaron originally thought that no clues could be found because Scotland Yard was too useless. Unexpectedly, even after the imperial military intervened, nothing could be found. Although the military would never admit that they were as useless as Scotland Yard, it was true.

Traditional criminal investigation methods have completely failed. So far, only Aaron's ability has worked. The only clue is the ghoul who was killed by Major Taylor three punches! In addition, the military even has the ghoul's feet.

No skin has been found.

This is also the reason why Taylor does not hesitate to use precious extraordinary elements in exchange for cooperation with Aaron. To solve the case, special abilities like Aaron are necessary.

But how to use this ability to find the mastermind... still needs to be thought about.

Aaron fell into deep thought.

"Mr. Hill, I have to remind you that you need to solve the case as soon as possible. If there is no substantial progress within thirty days, I will most likely be dismissed. By then you will no longer have to think about the extraordinary elements of 'luck'!"

Taylor said with some urgency. It was obvious that he didn't want to put pressure on Aaron, but the pressure on him from this task was really great, making the young and promising major uneasy.

Sister Philo, who had been silent since taking her seat, suddenly put her handcuffed hands on the table. The sound of metal colliding with the tabletop caught Aaron's attention. She said in a hoarse but intoxicating voice: "Hope."

Mr. Er, if you can use your extraordinary ability to help us find the real culprit behind the scenes... you will gain the friendship of the Sunfire Church."

Sister Philo's statement made Aaron raise his eyebrows.

Needless to say, the power of the Church of Sunfire in the empire goes without saying. No matter where in the empire, the "friendship of the Church of Sunfire" carries the weight of a promise worth a thousand dollars.

But at this moment, what attracted Aaron's attention more was not Sister Philo's promise, but the metal handcuffs on her hands.

Aaron's eyes stayed on the smooth metal surface of the handcuffs, as if he were looking at a mirror that could peer into people's hearts. He saw his own eyes through the mirror, and those deep pupils were like an abyss that swallowed everything.

It swallowed up Aaron's sight, causing him to stare blankly at the pair of handcuffs.

In an instant, all the sounds around him suddenly stopped, and the whole world fell into deathly silence.

Aaron could hear his heartbeat and the sound of blood flowing in his veins, but it was extremely slow.

Time passes slower and slower until it stops, as if it will be trapped in this very close moment forever.

But at this moment, Philo let out a slight exclamation, interrupting the frightening silence before and allowing time to flow again. She seemed to suddenly feel a tingling sensation and looked down at the metal

handcuffs, and quickly put his hands back under the table.

And when the metal handcuffs were completely out of Aaron's sight, he finally got rid of the irresistible attraction before, reluctantly looked away, gasped for breath, and his heartbeat was so fast that it seemed like it was about to jump out of his chest.<

After spending about three or four seconds to calm down, Aaron reluctantly said: "I'm honored."

"In short... in short." Sister Philo did not notice Aaron's abnormality. A strange blush appeared on her cheeks, and she stuttered: "I have been living in the Rhine Church recently. Mr. Hill

, if you need help from the Xihuo Church during the investigation, or if you get any clues, you can come to me directly."

"I understand." Aaron nodded, but soon, he showed a bright smile to the other two people, "Since both the military and the church have expressed trust in me...it's better to hit the sun than to choose the day.

Shall we start investigating now?"

"Do you have an idea? Where are you going to start checking?"

"Then there's no need to ask?" Aaron smiled, "Of course we'll start with the enemy's target."

……

Vanilla sat up in a daze, yawned on the bed without waking up, and then stretched again. She worked too late last night, which made her feel tired and sore all over, especially her waist.

They will all be broken by the tossing.

She looked up at the sky outside the window and realized that she had slept until the afternoon.

So, Vanilla quickly jumped down from the bed, picked up the clothes that were thrown under the bed and put them on. Then she cherished the money on the table and counted it again uneasily.

Not a penny less.

Only then did Vanilla feel relieved and prepared to wash up and then eat something.

She was hungry. For a hungry person, even hard and dry black bread tasted sweet enough.

Soon, she poured a glass of water, cut another half piece of black bread, ate it in small bites, rested for a while, and then carefully took the money and left the dilapidated residence.

The benefactor who worked last night was very kind to Vanilla and gave her a large tip, which was also her biggest income in recent days. Now she has to use this "huge sum" to repay the two debts she owes.

Monthly rent - after paying off the debt, she even had money left over to buy some daily necessities.

This made Vanilla feel very good, and also made her forget to pay attention to the road ahead of her. By accident, she collided with a passerby who happened to be walking by!

She was knocked back half a step, but before she even raised her head, she instinctively apologized: "Oh! I'm sorry, right..."

"It doesn't matter."

Vanilla subconsciously raised her head, but was stunned by the handsomeness of the black-haired boy in front of her - he was so handsome...if she worked for him, Vanilla was willing to give him a 20% discount!

The dark-haired boy, who was as handsome as a god, showed a charming smile and struck up a conversation with a gentleman:
