Chapter 48: Yan Qinghe is here again
The next day, it was already noon when Su Qing woke up. She looked at her PHS phone and the time displayed on it was 12:11.
"What a rare lazy sleep." Su Qing yawned and stretched.
What's even more rare is that Grandma Su didn't force her to get up to have breakfast, nor did she play a percussion ensemble in her ears in the name of cleaning the room.
After playing with Xiao Bailong for a while, Su Qing got up and went to the bathroom to wash up.
"It seems that I have grown taller?" Su Qing suddenly realized this while brushing her teeth. It was not for any other reason, just because she no longer had to stand on tiptoe when brushing her teeth.
It seems that chicken soup is still useful?
After brushing her teeth, rinsing her mouth, and cleaning her dental appliances, Su Qing looked in the mirror. Her hair in the mirror was a mess, as fluffy as a chicken coop. It would take a lot of effort to take care of it.
Forget it, let's take a shower.
With this thought in mind, Su Qing started to turn on the hot water. When she felt that the water temperature was almost the same, she took off her clothes and took a shower.
Su Qing closed her eyes and stood under her unkempt head, letting the warm water wash away all the sweat from the night, and her mind suddenly became clear.
Taking a bath is really a pleasant thing, especially when you first wake up.
After washing herself, Su Qing used a towel to wipe away the remaining water on her body. She left the bathroom humming a song that only she knew the origin of. However, she subconsciously froze for a moment while getting dressed.
There were a few new things in the change of clothes that Grandma Su gave her.
Although it has been a long time since she became "Su Qing", she still subconsciously avoids these particularly girly things. Even if she wears normal clothes, she wears either school uniforms or shorts, and she has never touched skirts or anything like that.
Passed.
Let alone something like this.
Su Qing hesitated for a while, but finally blushed and moved her finger away.
Forget it, just pretend you didn’t see it.
The straps around the girl's neck... This is really too embarrassing for her. Just thinking about it makes her feel a little inexplicably subtle and shameful.
Got dressed and went downstairs.
The smell of food had already begun to fill the corridor. Su Qing came to the second floor, but Grandma Su did not stay in the kitchen. Instead, she and Grandpa Su were sitting at the dining table, talking about something unknown.
Grandma Su's eyes looked a little red and she looked sad. She didn't know if she had just cried or was about to cry. Grandpa Su had a frown on his face, with an impatient look on his face.
It didn't seem like they were talking about anything happy.
"Grandpa, grandma, good morning." Su Qing stood at the door and said hello.
"Ah, Xiaolong is awake."
Although she tried her best to hide it, Grandma Su's voice was still choked with sobs. She stood up in a panic and ran to the kitchen: "Are you hungry? Let's have egg fried rice for lunch. Grandma will serve it for you now."
Grandpa Su did not come over to get close to his granddaughter with a smile as usual. Instead, he took the newspaper on the table, shook his hand and lowered his head to read.
The second elder's behavior is indeed a bit abnormal.
Su Qing sat down at the dining table, looked at the empty seat opposite, and vaguely guessed the reason.
"Where's my dad? Don't you need to call him to eat?" Su Qing asked seemingly casually.
Grandpa Su still looked down at the newspaper, as if he hadn't heard Su Qing's question. However, Grandma Su came out of the kitchen, put a bowl of egg fried rice in front of Su Qing, tried hard to maintain a calm tone, and replied:
"Your father... went out."
Knew it……
Su Xiuwen came back unexpectedly and left quietly. I don't know if there was any reason for what Su Qing said yesterday.
No wonder Grandma Su didn't bother to wake her up in the morning. Even for lunch, she just made fried rice with eggs as if it was just a matter of time. After all, it was rare for her son to come back. He left just a few days ago. Anyone else probably wouldn't have the intention to cook.
Three years away from home and three days back home is really...
Su Qing sighed inwardly, picked up the spoon and started eating.
This meal was quite unpalatable.
Somehow Grandma Su couldn't help wiping her tears again. Grandpa Su complained irritably, but Grandma Su got angry all of a sudden. She complained to him nonchalantly, saying that he was the one who made the child leave.
After arriving home, Grandpa Su was upset, so he simply took the newspaper and went upstairs.
Gee, her father is really better off never coming back.
After taking a few mouthfuls of rice, Su Qing put down the spoon and comforted Grandma Su twice, but it didn't get any better. Grandma Su wiped away her tears and just asked her to study quickly.
Well, just study and study.
Su Qing went downstairs, opened her notebook and was about to continue writing the short article. However, before she could say a word, she heard someone knocking on the door outside.
The person coming is Yan Qinghe.
"Why are you here? Didn't your parents take you on a trip during the National Day?" Su Qing asked a little strangely, looking at the sky outside, "Aren't you hot in this sunny day?"
"I'll come and play with you during the holidays. Didn't we agree last time? Have you forgotten?" Yan Qinghe seemed a little dissatisfied, "If my dad didn't insist that I finish my homework before I can go out, I would have come yesterday.
Looking for you."
I haven’t seen him for more than a month. This elementary school classmate has changed his face to a pair of black-rimmed glasses. He looks much calmer, but he still has the same awkward look.
"How is that possible?" Su Qing smiled, feeling a little embarrassed - she really couldn't remember whether she had made this agreement with Yan Qinghe last time.
"Hey..." Yan Qinghe curled his lips and handed over the notebook he had been holding: "No, this is the comic I drew as promised to you before."
After taking it, Su Qing flipped through it and found that nearly half of the knuckle-thick notebook had been drawn. It seemed that the child Yan Qinghe was really working hard on drawing.
"Pfft." Su Qing looked at it and couldn't help laughing.
"Why are you laughing?" Yan Qinghe shouted sternly, his fair cheeks showing some redness - he didn't know whether it was because of the sun or because he was shy.
"I was just laughing. I didn't expect you to be like this Yan Qinghe." The depression at lunch suddenly disappeared. Su Qing pointed at the notebook in her hand and smiled happily.
It's not that the plot of the comic was good, Su Qing couldn't read it so fast. She laughed just because of the style of the comic.
Who would have thought that the comics drawn by her awkward little classmate would actually be in the style of handsome and gentle girl comics?
She thought the other person's style of painting would be that of a Hong Kong comic.
"You don't like giving it back to me." Yan Qinghe became angry and reached out to grab the notebook back.
"Hey, who said I don't like it? I like it." Su Qing shrank back with a smile, turned around and ran towards the room, "I'll put your comics away first, and I'll talk to you after I put them away.
You go out and play."
"Hey, I'm not..." Yan Qinghe originally wanted to say that he just brought it to Su Qing for a look and then took it away, not to let her see it. However, mid-sentence, Su Qing had already ran back to the house.
Forget it, just take it.
Yan Qinghe thought with some resignation.
After a while, Su Qing came out with a parasol, smiled and patted Yan Qinghe on the shoulder.
