Chapter 3 The Breitling Coffin

In early winter of 1911, it was around 2:30 in the afternoon one day.

Mu Ruihe, who lives in the ancient town of Baisha, Yunnan, brought some tribe members to Lanruo Temple and discussed with the monks in the temple to open the coffin that had been stored here for ten years and move the bones to the ancestral tomb.

Three days later, 62-year-old Mu Ruihe and several clan brothers began to get busy because today he was going to bury the coffin corpse in the temple.

Who is the person in the coffin? Why should I park it in the temple for ten years without burying it?

Mu Ruihe has always been in a dark and heavy mood - for ten years, he lost his only son because of this. He has forgiven his son and decided to follow his instructions to record the person in the coffin into the genealogy of the Mu family's daughter-in-law.

——The person in this coffin once shook people in a radius of hundreds of miles. Although they had been dead for ten years, the year they died, somehow, Mu Ruihe's son insisted on borrowing her coffin and putting it in Lanruo Temple.

Now, after discussion, the tribe members decided to move it to their ancestral tomb outside Heilongtan at the foot of the mountain.

The old emperor's calendar said that it is most suitable for burial today. The Mu family is a thousand-year-old family with a wealthy economy. Mu Ruihe decided to open the coffin directly, pick up the bones and relocate a large mahogany coffin. For this reason, he invited eight craftsmanship sticks, commonly known as "porters", and held a banquet at noon to entertain them.

After all, this is not a good job, and it is somewhat unlucky.

At around 2:30 pm, Mu Rui and his group arrived at Lanruo Temple. After completing the handover, they ordered the workers to open the coffin.

The weather is dark and gloomy this day, with light rain and wind.

In the coffin room in the temple in the backyard, there was a gloomy feeling. The coffin lid was stretched open with the cliff, making a squeaking sound. The workers quietly pressed their feet against the coffin and tried their best. The coffin lid slowly opened.

Unexpectedly, after the opening of the museum, several white smoke suddenly appeared from the coffin. Zhang Mazi, who was opening the coffin, clearly saw three blue air coming out of the nostrils and mouth of the corpse. He was so scared that he screamed and ran out of the temple.

Zhang Mazi's abnormal behavior made the onlookers and tribe members look at each other, showing a look of fear.

For a moment, there was a terrible silence in the temple. The workers looked at each other and looked into the coffin with courage.

In an instant, they all widened their eyes, and before they could exclaim, suddenly, a thick white smoke spewed out of the coffin, with a strong rosin smell, pounced on their cheeks!

The scene was extremely chaotic. The tribesmen in the distance found that the faces of these workers were dyed silver white by the white smoke.

"A zombie!" Someone screamed wildly, and everyone's expressions changed drastically, and they rushed out of the temple!

Everyone ran out of the temple desperately, but no one dared to look back and crawled to the edge of the Black Dragon Pond, and rubbed their cheeks and necks desperately. The silver-white smoke seemed to have been embedded in the flesh and could not be washed clean with water. Several people rubbed and washed them hard, and the silver-white on their faces dimmed.

Mu Ruihe traveled around the world, saw the world, and was very brave. He also studied in the provincial capital since he was a child and received Western science education. He has never believed in the sayings of evil and evil.

After calming down, he actually walked back to the temple alone and approached the coffin to watch. He saw that most of the coffin had been unveiled. In the coffin was a familiar beautiful woman, with her face still vivid and lifelike. Although he could not help but be shocked for no reason.

What's even more strange is that the beautiful woman showed no sign of decay on her clothes and various silk ornaments.

Mu Ruihe calmed down and closed the lid of the coffin with difficulty. After pondering, he knew that the original plan to pick up bones and bury was no longer possible.

——This strange incident will inevitably make people panic, and no one dares to open the coffin and bury it.

The lid of the coffin has been pried open, and according to local customs, it is prohibited to seal the nails. The body should not be moved. In desperation, Mu Ruihe had to send someone down the mountain to find a coffin shop and customize a larger coffin.

The next day, the new coffin was sent to Lanruo Temple, and Mu Ruihe asked someone to place the old coffin inside and cover it.

Although many tribe members were panic and frightened, Mu Ruihe still insisted on carrying the mysterious coffin to the cemetery at the foot of the mountain.

However, Mu Rui and his family were stuck in their throats. It was an ominous thing that a person died for ten years but his body did not rot. They didn't know what the reason was. For this reason, they spared no expense to persuade the old abbot who was inside the Ananda Cave of Lanruo Temple and set up a altar to calculate for three days and three nights.

Few people know about the secret process of these three days and three nights, but after three days, the abbot Yuanhui changed his temperament and left the temple and disappeared.

Before leaving, Yuanhui left a mysterious saying:

"The miracle was revealed, and Ananda and Shura were alive for a hundred years, and the cause and condition were united.

There is no dust, no heaven and earth, no sentient beings. This coffin needs to be remembered for a hundred years, and there will naturally be someone who will be opened."

Following Yuanhui's suggestion, the Mu family did not dare to bury this mysterious coffin in the soil, but sealed it up and placed it in the Ananda Cave in the back mountain of Lanruo Temple, and kept people for generations to take care of...

——This is a strange thing a hundred years ago. As time goes by, no one knows it. However, this summer, this strange thing is linked to a rare tomb robbery case.

This story starts from this summer of 11 years.

Before telling a story, let’s talk about other backgrounds.

When I started the investigation of this tomb robbery incident, I must first identify it. Strictly speaking, it is not to rob the tomb, but to "steal the coffin".

In this era, everyone has solved the problem of food and clothing, and there is no real master of tomb robbers. This profession is not only unlucky, but also extremely strange and gloomy, which really tests people's mental ability.

Perhaps the beginning of the incident was a strange ghost story, because even if we quote today's science for discussion, the entire incident is extremely mysterious and cannot be explained by science.

But later discoveries made a strange and moving love story come to the world.

My surname is Zhou and my name is Zhou Linjun. My hometown is a gentle and peaceful city in Yunnan, and its predecessor was this Baisha Ancient Town.

In the eyes of the world, my life is very ordinary - I studied archaeology in college, but I studied biology in graduate school, but I studied psychology.

Perhaps many people don’t understand this, but because I have these three expertise, I was assigned to my hometown Lijiang City after graduation. Finally, the leaders of the local personnel bureau placed me in the first library in the city according to my wishes.

All of this seems to have no connection with the "coffin thieves" incident in Lanruo Temple.

Then let’s just talk about this and go back to Lanruo Temple.

Lanruo Temple is located in the aloe of Qinglong Mountain, ten kilometers outside the city. It was built in the Qing Dynasty. It was later renovated and rebuilt three times and was barely preserved after years of washing.

Of course, this temple was originally called "Xianbi Temple". There is also a reason - it is said that many years ago, an immortal passed by Qinglong Mountain and found that the surrounding water was lacking, the people's livelihood was dry, and the crops were not harvested. So he inserted a pen on the mountainside, and the pen inserted a valley into a valley. After that, a stream of clear spring water emerged from the valley, forming a black dragon pond and raising the surrounding farmland for hundreds of miles.

During the Qing Dynasty, a monk named Bai He came. Seeing the powerful spiritual energy in the valley, he stopped and spent ten years building a small temple beside the Black Dragon Pond.

This temple is called "Xianbi Temple". A hundred years later, the incense was very popular and became a famous temple within a radius of hundreds of miles, and was worshipped by the world.

However, after a few years, I don’t know why the holy monk “Bai He” was said to bet with others to calculate the fate of the future and lost to a mysterious woman. Then he changed Xianbi Temple to Lanruo Temple and wandered far away, missing...

In 1911, the army was in a state of war and the people lived in poverty. The National Revolution was full of fire, and the Qing Dynasty was facing overthrow.

Few people noticed that something extremely important happened in Baisha Ancient Town outside Lanruo Temple.

On this day a hundred years later, there were no monks in Lanruo Temple, only two ancient monuments administrators, and a descendant of the Mu family who was guarding the ancient coffin of Ananda Cave in the back mountain.

Ananda Cave was once abbot of seven generations. Since the death of "Yuanhui", the temple began to fall. The cave was bought by the Mu family for a hundred years and stored the mysterious coffin.

Since it is the "home" of the dead, this cave naturally produces some ghost energy. There will be some gloomy atmosphere in the cave, and various oppressive scenes will occur.

However, this summer, Ananda Cave is still very lively. On a small building next to the cave, it is brightly lit every night, with noise, laughter, card game, and TV Kara is going all night long, just like a "farmhouse" in the mountains.

This small building was built by the Mu family members and has been built three times outside this cave over the past century.

Now, this building has been built for ten years, and the walls are inlaid with white ceramic tiles. Although it is incompatible with the ancient temple in front of the mountain, it is quite comfortable and beautiful.

The Mu family is a prominent local family. Although the Baisha Ancient Town has been transformed into a city and its clan members have been divided, the Mu family's ancient house and ancestral hall still has a large number of clan members coming to worship every year.

So he became a high-ranking official and a wealthy tribe. He paid some funds every year as the management fee for the ancestral hall. At the same time, he also hired someone to guard the ancient coffin of the Mu family.

Watching the ancient coffin is an extremely lonely and boring job. You can go down the mountain during the day, but it will be difficult to endure at night.

The salary is OK, 3,000 a month.

This is why 26-year-old Mu Deming would come to stay on the mountain.

——When the former guard, Wu Youneng, got sick, gave this job to his idle and careless nephew Mu Deming.
