Chapter 70 Daily Excess
Chapter 70 Daily Overreach
"I can pick up Peggy at school and she lives with me. If I have anything else, I will trouble you."
After dinner in the evening, Locke said to Susan.
"This is what I should do, to be honest, I didn't expect you to have such a close relationship with Barry and others."
At first, Susan guessed that Locke and Pegg were siblings, but after learning about the situation of the Swanson family during this period, she realized that this was not the case.
“Locke is a very reliable person. Barry and I have known him for two years and he has been taking care of Page in school.
After all, you know, Peggy was only nine years old when he first went to high school. If it weren't for Locke, he would have been bullied by the bad girls in the school."
Linda replied with a smile that the past two years have made them extremely relieved about Rock, otherwise they would not have let Page live in Rock:
"I'll go back tomorrow. The summer vacation is coming to an end. I'm going to go to my mother's place to pick up my other daughter. Peggy will ask you in the future."
"Don't worry, Julie and I like Peggy very much. Wow, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I really wouldn't have known that there would be such a smart child. Now that Julie has problems with her homework, I'll ask her for advice."
"That would be better," Linda said with a smile.
The overall atmosphere of the conversation was very harmonious. On the next day, Ashley and Susan, whom she just met, went to do hair and shop, and Rock sent Lin to the airport.
"It feels pretty good, and the people who live here are very enthusiastic."
Locke took the initiative to say hello to the other party. Yidi is a real estate agency in several streets nearby. Locke chose this house and passed her through her.
Idi looked at Locke with some regrets. Her guard range was very wide, but this was the first time a man as handsome as Locke, and she felt happy as soon as she met. Unfortunately, she tried it when Locke bought a house before and received no response.
Compared to Sheldon regards Peggy as his lifelong enemy, Peggy has always thought Sheldon is quite interesting. After all, not many people can really get along with her.
"Since I feel it's troublesome, let's take a good rest for two days first, and I'll take you to report, and I'll probably meet Sheldon at that time."
"You are very lucky today." Page said to Locke, who was standing in front of the bookshelf, looking for books.
In less than ten minutes, Julie completely figured it out: "Wow, after hearing what you said, I already understand. Thank you for your help."
"Ashley happened to go to the barber room and didn't bother you."
"Really? That's fine." Julie nodded and followed Rock to the living room to sit down.
"As long as you can stand two Sheldons." Locke shrugged.
"Do you drink something, coffee or tea?" Rock asked.
"It's nothing. If you have any questions in the future, you can come to me." Locke said with a chuckling.
It was just a pity that Leonard could feel some of his little thoughts about Page.
"This sounds good, maybe I can ask her for help." Locke said with a smile: "My latest version of the novel will be released in a while, maybe she can ask her to draw illustrations."
"Yes, everyone will love a cute boy like you."
Lock, who saw that Idi was thinking, responded a few words, then returned to the room, came to the kitchen to prepare a pot of water, and then heard a knock on the door.
"I'm just doing a little favor, and for me, Julie is still too young."
"It's okay, you can wait here for a while, put the book in the study, I'll get it now." Locke stood up and went to the second floor. When he came to the study, he saw Pegg sitting at the desk.
When he got home, Locke parked his car in the garage and saw a blonde woman standing on the side of the road: "Hey, Idi, how is your new home?"
"That's great. My mother is not good at math. She is a painter." Julie said: "It's mainly for some illustrations of calligraphy and painting."
"Really, are you still a writer?" Julie asked in surprise: "What type of novel is it."
"Um?"
"He told me that he would go to Bevley's house a few days in advance. Leonard also called me and felt like a child abandoned by his mother." Page said with a smile.
Locke's eyes rolled: "Peggy just went upstairs to prepare for a rest. If I don't mind, I can answer you."
Except for Locke and Sheldon, even Leonard, who often takes the initiative to contact her, is a little bit worse.
"If you are interested, I have published it here, you can take it to read it."
"The progress is pretty good, thanks to the insurance company's willingness to compensate, otherwise the house I obtained from my ex-husband would be completely destroyed." Yidi said with a smile: "Are you still used to living here?"
"It's math..." Julie pointed to a question: "Peggy told me yesterday, but I always couldn't understand some things."
"It's nothing, Peggy just doesn't adapt to how to explain it to ordinary people." Locke glanced at it: "This question should be like this..."
"I've been so exhausted these days. I have to meet those who are willing every day, which makes me feel like a clown in a circus performance."
"Indeed, with Sheldon here, Leonard's future life is difficult." Thinking of the possible scene, Locke chuckled.
Since I met, I often called Page and contacted the Internet. It was just that I looked at Page's attitude, and the possibility of success was too low.
"What's the problem?" Locke brought the brewed tea over and picked up the book Julie brought.
"Julie answered properly.
"Thank you, I can show it to my mother, well, I said that if she wants to take on the job of calligraphy and painting illustrations for you, it would be better to read your novel."
"Sounds interesting."
"The Arcane God is a fantasy novel related to magic, and most of the ones you like are boys."
"Hahaha... how can there be such a beautiful and cute clown?" Locke smiled and stretched out his hand and rubbed Page's head:
...
"Hey, um~ I'm here to find Peggy." Julie, who was standing at the door, smiled and raised the book in her hand: "I just saw you come back, and I was thinking about asking Peggy for a question, from school."
When Linda's plane took off and drove back, Pegg, who was sitting in the passenger seat, seemed to breathe a sigh of relief:
"I thought of something interesting." Peggy suddenly said, "Maybe after we go to sign up, we can go to Bevli's house to check it out."
Locke said as he took the book downstairs and handed it to Julie: "This is the first volume. You can take a look first. If you like it, you can ask me for the second volume."
"Thank you." Julie nodded, stood up and took the book: "I have something to do, so I'll go back first."
"Okay." Locke did not try to keep him, and opened the door and sent Julie away.
As he said, Julie is indeed a little young for her now, but she doesn't have to wait too long.
