Chapter 73 Musheli Bodhisattva

[Mushari Bodhisattva], this title can be divided into two parts, one half is "Mushari" and the other half is "Bodhisattva".

The three words "Musheli" are easy to understand. It is just a title. According to the diary records, it was an expression written in Chinese characters with a similar pronunciation in Hebrew. The original meaning is "bright light".

As for why he used Hebrew, an unrelated language, the diary did not say, and it was difficult for Li Heng to guess.

Let’s just say that he is a bit of a fan of foreign things, but it also reflects that this person had a considerable knowledge reserve at the beginning, and he even understood this ancient language.

The word "Bodhisattva" is the key point. This does not mean that "that thing" is a human-shaped god, or that it is similar to the image of gods such as Guanyin Bodhisattva and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

He spent a lot of space in his diary to record his inner thoughts at that time. It was only after he thought for a long time that he decided to use "Bodhisattva" to explain "that thing".

The true translation of Bodhisattva is "awakening sentient beings", seeking enlightenment with wisdom, and transforming all living beings with compassion. In Buddhism, enlightenment is emphasized. Bodhisattva has achieved the realm of "self-consciousness" and "other-awareness", but it still remains the same as "sentient beings".

"Connection does not mean "perfect enlightenment" like the Buddha.

And he believed that the fully awakened person, the ultimate carrier of wisdom, is a transparent and transcendent existence, which cannot be seen by human eyes. Therefore, he did not call "that thing" "Buddha", but the previous one of Buddha.

Stage "Bodhisattva".

It is enlightened and transcendent, yet it is a tangible entity, connected with sentient beings, and visible to all sentient beings.

It can be seen that in this person's understanding, what kind of existence "that thing" is, actually needs so many descriptions to describe it.

But here, from beginning to end, he never really described the physical image of "that thing", the so-called "Musari Bodhisattva". From beginning to end, he was writing about what he thought and what happened after he saw that thing.

understanding.

Therefore, the word "Bodhisattva" is more of an abstract and vague description, rather than a concrete representation of "that thing".

The reason why he uses "Bodhisattva" as a proxy is because he feels that it is very suitable to use the concept of Bodhisattva in Buddhism to refer to "that thing", rather than actually seeing a humanoid Bodhisattva that is the same as the one in the portrait or on TV.

Walked over.

Therefore, Li Heng felt that the "thing" he saw was most likely not human-shaped, otherwise he would have directly described it as a human instead of going on and on and spending so much time describing the abstract concepts in his mind.

But it was obvious that the people who subsequently built the temple and the statues did not understand what he meant.

[Tree Immortal Method] is obviously impossible to complete by one person, so he must have someone to help him clean up his body and head, complete the subsequent steps, and finally enshrine it here.

As for the method of offering sacrifices, there is no clear explanation in "Yi Xian Can Zhai Ban". It just needs to place the head of the soul on top of the "crouching tiger".

But out of personal obsession, this person must have explained in advance that this place is enshrined with the title of "Musali Bodhisattva".

But the people who followed up couldn't understand the abstract concept in his mind, so they built a Bodhisattva temple in a literal sense. And because the Bodhisattva named "Musheli" could not be found in Buddhism, when he built the statue

Can't even shape the noodles.

Not only that, this very abstract and indescribable "Musari Bodhisattva" made him think about it day and night and never forget it for a long time, and he came to the idea that only by "becoming an immortal" can he see it again.

And this idea was so deeply rooted in his mind that it became his only obsession for the rest of his life.

From then on, he began a thirty-year journey of seeking Taoism and cultivating immortality, studying alchemy, Feng Shui, Sutra calculation, Zen Buddhism...

However, as time progressed and decades passed, there was still no sign of the elixir becoming an immortal. His obsession made him more anxious and desperate, and he even finally used ancient ancient magic pills of unknown origin in order to become an immortal.

Forbidden law.

And all this is actually just that he wants to see "Musheli Bodhisattva" and "that thing" again.

"A learned man who drifted into madness"

Li Heng didn't know what could make him so obsessed, but he couldn't understand and couldn't accept this kind of path of seeking Taoism and experimenting with his own life.

Although one can die if he hears the Tao in the morning, but if he loses his life, what's the use of seeing him again, not to mention that he has already given up his life without even having a glimpse of the "Tao".

"But what he left behind is a huge treasure!"

As he said, there are true spiritual laws in the world, but there are no legal persons.

But he was still wrong. It's not that there are no Yingfa people in the world, it's just that the Yingfa person is not him.

Yes, after repeatedly observing these manuscripts, drawings and practice methods, Li Heng felt that maybe these things could be used by him.

Just like the magically modified "Inner Canon Picture", neither he nor the latecomer Chen Zhouhe could fully reflect those modified methods of practice, and many changes in luck were not possible for the normal human body.

In a sense, his boldness and wisdom have touched the true meaning of spiritual practice, but his mortal body cannot support him on this path.

But Li Heng is different. He already has a body that reaches the limit of human beings, and he is fundamentally different from ordinary people on a physiological basis.

Even after studying these leftover manuscripts and illustrated scriptures more thoroughly, Li Heng felt an inexplicable surprise. The many methods of practice and transformation created and summed up by this person seemed to be just for him to learn and use today!

But this idea is somewhat conceited and arrogant, stealing the wisdom of the predecessors and justifying the erection of archways.

"Brother Chen, are you okay? The smell down here is too bad. I'm afraid you might be poisoned if you stay there for a long time."

Chen Zhouhe's concerned voice came from above the tunnel.

"Well, I'll be up soon."

Li Heng responded, and then began to move a large number of manuscripts and documents underneath, slowly transporting these ancient objects outside. As for the murals and reliefs that could not be moved, he could only take photos of them.

Stored in mobile phone.

Seeing these "treasures" see the light of day again, Li Heng felt quite happy. What a waste of natural resources it would be if these crystallizations of wisdom were allowed to sleep under the loess soil and rot into ashes over time.

This is a seeker with great wisdom who gave up his life's glory and wealth and spent thirty years of hard work to accumulate the supreme wealth!

It's a pity that their owner doesn't value them, but only pursues that intangible existence that even he himself can't describe clearly.

In order to pursue that unknown thing, he even risked his life and tried the forbidden method with his own life, but in the end he ended up dying.

Returning to the earth temple again, Li Heng looked up at the faceless statue that he had moved aside.

If what he expected was correct, the head should be sealed in the statue now.
