Author's Testimonial
After 623 days and a total of 2.15 million words, this book can finally come to an end.
Now that I have written this book, especially the last copy, it has lost the fun of writing it and has become like a burden to me.
Thank you all for accompanying me on this journey, especially the four to five hundred book friends who persisted in subscribing for the last dozen chapters.
This book was written from the first semester of my freshman year to the second semester of my junior year. It may be the only meaningful thing in my four years of college. It records my college years and makes me feel that my time has not been wasted.
I believe fellow Taoists can also tell that this is my first time writing a book.
Therefore, the entire book must have many shortcomings and flaws, such as the description of the characters, the portrayal of expressions, and the overall timeline and control of the progress of the story.
I will try my best to correct these shortcomings in the next book.
In addition, I would like to share my own thoughts about this book. First of all, this book was a sudden idea. I started writing it without much preliminary preparation. It was not easy to sign the contract and put it on the shelves.
This also means that I don’t have a specific outline. Although I do have one, I have thrown away the outline a long time ago. Many plots are just improvised content.
Therefore, it seems that the progress of the story is very slow, and the connection between each copy is not smooth.
However, regarding the slow progress of the book and Shen Ruiling's upgrade, what I want to say is that since it is a family novel, the entire family should be read as the protagonist.
Although Shen Ruiling has only formed elixirs now, the Shen family has gone from a precarious situation to becoming the only golden elixir family in the Lingnan cultivation world. This kind of upgrade is already considered achievable.
Furthermore, I have my own reasons. I used to like watching mortals, but what I like is the process of the protagonist struggling to survive with wisdom and means when he is at a low level of Qi training and foundation building.
After the protagonists Jin Dan and Nascent Soul, basically there are few opponents in the whole world. That feeling makes me feel that I have lost the feeling of acting against nature.
So when I wrote the novel, I subconsciously placed all the details at the foundation-building stage. When the later Golden Elixir and Nascent Soul were developed, they would not be as detailed as those in the foundation-building stage.
Well, the Lingnan part of the first volume of the book about the Shen family is finished here, and the next volume "The Aspects of the Shen Family" will be written at this time next year.
For me, I just want to regard writing as a hobby, not a means of making a living in the future, so in order to be more competitive in society in the future, the test is still necessary.
Starting from the beginning, there are still eight months to review, and we will know whether we can go ashore by this time next year.
Here is my best hope that all book friends who are preparing for the 22nd postgraduate entrance examination will be able to apply for it!
