Let me tell you something you may not have noticed, that is - today is the first anniversary of the book's serialization!
On March 28, 2019, I submitted the first three chapters of this book with a trepidation, officially starting my journey as an amateur novelist.
After going around, it has been serialized for 1 year.
It's incredible to think about it. Before I started serializing, I was always self-doubting - can I write this book well? Can I stick to it?
In a blink of an eye, a year has passed. I never expected that I would actually stick to it. I had been serializing it for a whole year, updated for 365 days in a row, and never stopped updating it. As of today, I have written a full 2.285 million words, and an average of 6,260 words a day.
As a newcomer, I feel that it is quite rare for me to be so diligent (laugh).
Today is the birthday of this book. Since it is my birthday, I plan to give this book a vacation, and only 2 updates are available today~ which means that today's main text update has ended. All you can read now is this one-year anniversary comment.
Looking back, the serialization of this book has really gone through twists and turns.
The most difficult period for this book to be serialized was when writing volume 3, that is, when serializing the "Xia Feng" offensive.
That was exactly the time when I was the most diligent, and I updated more than 10,000 words a day. In July 2019, I got nearly 300,000 words closer.
At that time, the results of this book were so bad that I couldn't bear to look at it. At the worst time, there were 4 chapters updated in one day, but there were only 10 new subscriptions.
Without new readers, old readers feel that they are not reading this book anymore. I don’t know if they have abandoned it or raised it.
That period was really difficult, think about it - it was obviously the hardest and most diligent period, but the worst period.
I made the best efforts, but got the worst results - this feeling is the most striking of people's enthusiasm.
I actually thought about it many times at that time - should I give up this book and reopen a new serial?
I really thought about this question many times at that time.
But in the end, I chose to persevere.
There are many reasons why I chose to stick to it:
I don't want to disappoint the only readers of this book.
I haven't figured out the outline of the next work.
I have written so much, but it would be a pity if I abandoned it.
However, the main reason is that I have feelings for the characters in this book.
The story of Su Cheng and his team has not been finished yet, I want to finish their story - it is this belief that made me persevere.
Fortunately, my persistence was not in vain, and this book gradually got out of the predicament.
In the later period of Volume 3, for some reason, new readers finally arrived.
New readers are coming, and some old readers with familiar IDs are returning one after another. The results of this book are finally getting better.
When serializing Volume 3, the collection of the main site and the collection of QQ Bookstore combined with the collection of the .asxs.
Now, the collection of the .asxs. main site and the collection of QQ Bookstore have exceeded 6,000.
Although in terms of grades, this book naturally cannot be compared with those books that have been recommended in a row, with tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of collections, I am still very satisfied to get such results by relying on just such a little resource (from the serialization of this book to the present, I have only obtained 4 recommended positions, and 3 of them are still the kind of recommended positions that are not carefully searched for and will never find the position).
I no longer want to abandon this book. I am just thinking about how to write this book better.
The later this book is, the harder it is to write, because there are more and more people appearing and the stage becomes wider.
Volume 7 "New World" is actually just a transitional volume, not a very difficult and important volume.
Volume 8 - "The Patriotic War" is the biggest test that I have serialized so far.
Although I have not started writing "The Patriotic War", I know this volume is definitely the hardest volume to write.

But no matter how difficult it is to write, I can only do my best.
The more difficult the plot is, the more I have to write, because only in this way can my writing ability be improved.
After writing "The Patriotic War", my writing ability and plot control ability may be able to reach a higher level (laugh).
