344, Orion's Little Wife 3

The next day.

It had just rained and the sky was a little cool. Tang Xiuer was drowsy after being pregnant. She woke up several times and asked Ji Huai what time it was. He said it was still early, so she went back to sleep peacefully. The last time she woke up, it was almost noon.

She originally planned to get up early and go to the vegetable garden to pull weeds and pick some wild vegetables, but now everything was ruined. She felt guilty and panicked, and saw Ji Huai leaning against the wall without saying anything. She didn't know when she woke up.

"I'm going to cook right away." She got out of bed while cleaning up, and asked him with concern, "Are you feeling better today?"

"Much better." Ji Huai said as he raised his foot slightly, but not very high. He held it up for a while and then put it down again, "You can't bend it yet."

"Don't bend, it will hurt you." Tang Xiuer quickly stopped him, got up and hurried to cook.

He looked at her leaving back, looked at his feet, and sighed inwardly.

In fact, it has healed, but in the eyes of outsiders, the injury was serious. If he suddenly recovered on his own, it would inevitably arouse suspicion, so he could only "take good care of himself."

The rice at home was about to be finished, and Tang Xiuer was also anxious. After finishing her work, she came to embroider lotus flowers and handkerchiefs. She embroidered them carefully and with fine workmanship. When she took them to the town, she sold them very quickly.

She had to catch up a little more these days and sell it in exchange for rice.

After dinner, she sat at the table and embroidered, her head lowered, close to the oil lamp, and the needle and thread shuttled in her hands.

Ji Huai saw that she had been embroidering for an entire hour and was still not sleeping, so he reminded her, "Do you want to go to bed? It's late, and embroidering that stuff hurts your eyes."

"It's time to sleep." Tang Xiuer nodded and put down the needle and thread. When she got up, she felt dizzy. She quickly grabbed the corner of the table and her whole body was shaken. Then her eyesight went dark.

With a "bang", she knocked over the chair. For fear of falling and injuring the child, she could only hold on to the corners of the table, but her body was already a little weak and her lips were even whiter.

When she was panicking and scared, a hand supported her and pulled her aside. A low voice came from her ears, "Sit down first."

She sat down slowly, and it took a while to calm down. The feeling of uneven heartbeat slowly disappeared. Only then did she realize that Ji Huai had gotten up from the bed and was standing beside her with his injured leg bent.

, supporting her, looking worried, and kept asking, "What's wrong?"

"You..." She watched him get out of bed and immediately stood up nervously.

Ji Huai stretched out his hand to push her down, frowned and spoke again, "I'm fine, it doesn't hurt. What's wrong with you?"

"It'll be fine in a while." She didn't care. She had been like this often since she became pregnant. She felt dizzy and weak from time to time, and sometimes felt chest tightness and shortness of breath.

When he heard this, his face didn't look very good.

Tang Xiuer hasn't done much to replenish her body since she became pregnant. After he was injured, he even became vegetarian and worked hard at home. The child in his belly was also trying hard to absorb her nutrients, so how could he have strength?

In the end, Tang Xiuer was still afraid that he would be injured, so she slowly helped him back and made sure again and again that he was okay.

"It's okay." Ji Huai affirmed.

"That's good." She breathed a sigh of relief.

"I should be able to get out of bed tomorrow. I want to go out and bask in the sun." He said and lay down. Seeing Tang Xiuer also lying down, he also pulled the quilt towards her.

"Yeah." She nodded repeatedly. It would be nice to go out and bask in the sun.

When Sister-in-law Ji woke up in the morning, she was startled when she saw Ji Huai sitting on the chair, half leaning on him. He said it was okay to chat while lying down, so he asked Tang Xiuer to find bamboo poles for him.

‌Began to weave bamboo baskets.

"Third brother, what are you..." Sister-in-law Ji looked at him, widened her eyes slightly, and walked over quickly, "Didn't the doctor say you should take a good rest? What are you talking about?"

There was also concern and accusation in his words. In fact, he was surprised that Ji Huai fell to the ground so fast. It was just unbelievable.

Sister-in-law Ji is strong and shrewd, has a lot of thoughts, and looks one way, unlike Sister-in-law Ji, who is honest, dull, greedy, and timid.

"Lie down until you are completely useless. Come out and see the sunshine." Ji Huai continued his hand movements and answered her slowly, without even raising his head.

"It takes a hundred days to break your muscles and bones. How many days have you been here?" Sister-in-law Ji said and sighed.

Ji Huai: "As long as it doesn't hurt, it's almost healed."

"Don't be careless." Sister-in-law Ji continued, not believing what he said at all. Mr. Li even said there was no hope, so how could he get better?
