45. The Betrayer of the Snake Village

Looking back, the snakes not far away were still looking at him eagerly in the dark night. Fang Jun's hand holding the dagger still did not relax. He turned around quietly, stuck his head out, and looked at what was happening not far away. www

"Tell me, who asked you to leave the village so late!" Fang Jun, the leading man, recognized that it was none other than the village chief who entertained him that day.

There were four or five big men standing next to the village chief, and a young man fell to his knees limply on the ground, with tears on his face and trembling all over. His limbs were tied up with hemp ropes. A big man pulled his hair and gasped.

.

"Tell me who it is!" Seeing that the young man didn't say a word, the village chief once again emphasized his tone, "Do it!"

"Ah!" With a scream, the strong man pulling his hair took out a dagger from his arms and stabbed the young man in the abdomen. He struck quickly and accurately without any mercy, and blood suddenly spurted out.

out![

"Village chief, let me go, please..." the young man cried, "I don't dare anymore, I don't dare anymore!"

The village chief sneered, "As long as you tell me who asked you to go out and tip off the news, I won't kill you."

The young man bit his lip and hesitated to speak, but took it back and just lowered his head and shook his head vigorously.

He is not a fool. He knows that as long as he speaks out the message, the dagger will stab his heart instead of his simple abdomen. Ants are greedy for life and would rather survive in pain.

"You have to know that it's okay if you don't say anything," the village chief's tone softened, "Don't forget, you are not the first, and of course you will not be the last. Anyone who betrays the snake god will die, no matter what.

It’s the nosy police officers outside the village who are in the village.”

Fang Jun's heart sank. As expected, the death of those police officers was really inseparable from the villagers.

"Village Chief, I am a human being, and I want to live a good life, Village Chief!" The young man kneeling on the ground cried, with runny nose and tears.

Fang Jun was now in a mess about right and wrong. He couldn't understand a single bit of what the young man said. He could only continue to hide in the corner and spy on what was happening in front of him, not daring to make a single sound.

The village chief sneered, "You kid, you talk so weirdly. I didn't say you were not a human being. In this village, you want to live a good life and no one is in your way. How can you betray the village and do those sloppy things you do?"

,Aren’t you afraid of the snake god’s curse?”

"Curse...curse..." The young man suddenly raised his head, "There is no curse at all. Those people were obviously killed by you!"

"That's what the snake god meant!" The village chief glared angrily and roared. Although hoarse, his low voice carried an irresistible majesty and suppressed the young man's futile resistance.

His body went limp, his head lowered and he dared not speak.

There was a deathly silence in the air. Fang Jun held his breath. Miserable shouts continued to come from behind him. Every sound made Fang Jun feel tangled in his heart. Everything he had just seen was now vivid in his mind.

The ferocious woman, the entangled snakes, the little snakes, and the baby with amniotic fluid...

Fang Jun closed his eyes and tried hard to make everything disappear in his mind. However, the more he wanted to disappear, the more it appeared, and the more drunk he became, the more sober he became.

And in the open space outside the cave.

"Village Chief, do we really have no way to leave this village?" The young man raised his head, with pleading eyes, "Village Chief, no one will tell anyone that I left the village, let alone tell anyone in the village.

If you tell the secret, just let me go, okay?"

"Go out?" The village chief sneered, and suddenly leaned down. His old eyes made the young man suddenly become silent, and his voice scratched the young man's ears. "Do you think that if you go out, others will really treat you as a child?"
