Chapter 2 The Boy's Sweet Potato

The next day, Tangchi also had no self-consciousness like a farm girl and slept until the sun was shining three hours before getting up.

While washing, Tangchi looked at the water and looked at himself seriously. He looked about fourteen or fifteen years old, with a sallow face and muscles, a thin body, and obvious stunting.

It's so imaginative that her stepmother could still frame her for seducing her stepfather.

Later, Tangchi walked towards the field to see if the peas could survive.

"Dong dong dong——" The door was knocked.

Maybe the stepmother came here looking for trouble?

Tangchi stopped alertly, paused, then ran out of the vegetable field and opened the door.

"Creak-" The wooden door made an unpleasant sound, which made Tangchi frown involuntarily.

"You..." Tangchi stood at the door, looking at the dark-skinned and strong-bodied young man, guessing the identity of this person.

Fortunately, the young man smiled, showing his white teeth, and said, "I just came back from the fields. I thought of you... so I came to see you." He touched his head sheepishly.

Looks like an acquaintance.

Tangchi smiled brightly at the young man and led him in. "Oh! Why are you here! Come in, come in!"

The young man was stunned for a moment, and then his dark face turned slightly red. He lowered his head to look at his feet, then raised his head and showed an honest smile: "This is the first time that Tangchi girl has smiled like this at me!"

Tang Chi: "..." The enthusiasm is too much.

The young man continued: "I have warned you a long time ago that your stepmother is not a good person. If you don't believe it, she has been kicked out now..."

Tangchi finally felt relieved, it seemed that the original Tangchi was also sincere.

"My stepmother is so bad, it will only be a matter of time before I get kicked out."

The young man sighed, seeming to feel sorry for Tangchi.

"It's okay. I live alone now and don't have to be controlled by my stepmother anymore, which is good." Tang Chi said something against her will. In fact, it's not good at all. She would rather go back and fight with other players than stay here without taking any action.

Play farming for the next day.

But even if she left, Tangchi would not be so shameless as to go back!

The young man looked at Tangchi's firm smile and clear black and white eyes, took out two sweet potatoes from his arms and said, "These two are for you to eat, I'll leave first." Then he stuffed them into her hands and left.

Tangchi took the two large sweet potatoes without any pretense, then looked down at them, feeling warm. "Thank you!"

After closing the door, Tangchi couldn't wait to peel a sweet potato and stuffed it into his mouth.

After eating one but not wanting to eat the other, Tangchi put it away, then walked to the door of the house and sat down, leaning his chin and looking at the land, and finally at the sky.

Money doesn't just fall from the sky, and getting rich can be achieved without even thinking about it. After almost watering the peas to death, Tangchi lost confidence.

Can someone like her, who knows nothing, really survive here? Tangchi looked at the empty yard in confusion, thinking it was unlikely.

Gradually, the sun set, and voices could be heard vaguely outside the door. From the faint laughter, Tangchi knew that they were used to this kind of life of working at sunrise and resting at sunset, but she, Tangchi, was not used to it. On the first day

The novelty had passed, and the unfamiliar environment, endless loneliness, and impending hunger made her disappointed with life.

One sweet potato was not enough, and Tangchi was hungry at night.
