Chapter Thirty-Three: The Fluffy White Thing
"There's nothing else I can eat except mushrooms in this forest!"
The road that was opened was not short, but Tangchi was very reluctant to find anything.
Just when she was angry, Tangchi didn't pay attention to her steps. She was suddenly tripped by a vine that grew out of her, and then flew towards a big tree with a flying posture.
Her brain is going to die!
This was Tangchi's first reaction. Then she closed her eyes and protected her head.
Then……
She threw herself at the bottom of the tree.
"It belongs to your second master!" Tangchi got up from the ground, wiped the dirt on his face, frowned and cursed.
Fortunately, there was a layer of soft dead grass at the bottom of the tree, otherwise her yellow and thin face would have been ruined.
After wiping off the dirt and grass on his face, Tangchi held his breath and raised his head, but stopped cursing.
This tree looks very old, and its branches are so thick that it would take seven or eight people to hug it. It reaches straight into the sky. The branches and leaves are so dense that even at noon, the sun cannot shine in.
In fact, there are many such big trees in the forest, which are so big that people are awe-inspiring.
Although it was a farming setting, Tang Chi still felt that the fairy tale setting also existed. He did not dare to be disrespectful to these trees that were so big that they were almost becoming spirits.
Tangchi sighed and lowered his head, but unexpectedly discovered that there seemed to be something white under the withered grass that she had rubbed.
"We are really related to mushrooms." Tangchi said, pushing away the dead grass with his hands.
Afterwards, she was surprised.
This fall also resulted in the discovery of a treasure: a white, quite large matsutake mushroom! This is much more expensive than mushrooms.
Tangchi carefully picked the matsutake, which was as big as his palm, without damaging its roots, and waited for it to grow again later.
There are not as many velvet mushrooms as there are mushrooms.
Tang Chi turned over a lot of dead grass under the big trees. Only then did he get a dozen palm-sized matsutake mushrooms and some smaller ones.
This time it was an unexpected gain. Looking at the white, large matsutake mushrooms, Tangchi no longer felt pain on his face, and his mood improved.
She carried it back happily, but she didn't notice that a furry white thing was following behind her, and it followed her out of the forest.
After returning, she picked out the smaller matsutake mushrooms and placed the larger ones there, planning to recommend them to the magistrate who loves mushrooms the next time she goes to town.
The next day, she took some smaller matsutake mushrooms to Widow Zhang's house.
"This mushroom looks weird! Is it delicious?" Widow Zhang said as she looked at the matsutake mushrooms brought from the soup pool.
Sure enough, matsutake mushrooms are not common.
In fact, if he hadn't seen it on TV before, Tangchi wouldn't know what it was.
Tangchi smiled proudly and said: "This is called matsutake, and it's much more delicious than mushrooms! I just found it, and I brought some to Sister Zhang to try before selling it."
"How do you eat this?" Widow Zhang held a matsutake in front of her eyes and looked at it with twinkling eyes.
Tangchi told her how delicious the matsutake mushrooms she had seen on TV programs were.
"Because I didn't pick much, I brought little. It was just enough for Sister Zhang to taste."
Widow Zhang covered her mouth and smiled, saying: "It's good that you have this heart. Is this also from that mountain?"
Tangchi nodded.
There are no mushrooms in the nearby fields or villages. In fact, you can guess where her mushrooms come from.
"Take Sister Zhang in next time too," Tangchi said.
