Chapter 8: The error of more than ten miles

Indeed, in this small village, she couldn't sell these mushrooms at all.

At night, Tangchi lifted up her trouser legs and found a bruise on her leg. She heated some hot water and applied it with a cloth.

Thinking of the kick she received from her stepmother during the day, she felt angry. But thinking about it now, it was a good thing that Widow Zhang came to trade for mushrooms and she didn't start a fight with her, otherwise her life in this village would have been even more difficult.

Recalling Widow Zhang’s last reminder to her, she also recalled her coming to exchange for mushrooms. Did this person stop her intentionally or unintentionally?

That night, Tangchi decided to go to the city to visit and then work hard to sell her mushrooms from the countryside to the towns.

The next day, Tangchi got up early early, found some old clothes, wrapped the mushrooms and carried them on his back when he went out, and then...

Then she discovered that she didn't know the road at all.

However, fortunately, when she reached the east of the village, she saw some men carrying food or other things to go to the city to change, and Tangchi followed them.

Some people saw Tangchi following her, but when they saw the big burden on her back and her weak body, they didn't say anything, but some people were different.

"I said, daughter of the Tang family, why are you following us?" A lean man with small eyes stopped and turned to look at Tangchi.

Along the way, Tangchi was hoping that his mushrooms could be sold at a good price in the city. He was in a good mood, so he smiled at him and said, "I'm going to the city."

Unexpectedly, the man looked at her with disgust and said, "Everyone in the village knows what you have done. Stay away from you! Don't follow us!"

Seeing the man's disgusted eyes, Tang Chi felt angry, but he raised his head expressionlessly and asked: "Uncle, you can walk this road, but I can't?"

"You're a little girl, you're pretty good at talking!" The man's small eyes widened, his eyebrows were raised to different heights, his mouth was tilted, and he looked at Tangchi fiercely.

Someone on the side advised: "Forget it, it's getting late. If you don't go into the city, it will be too late."

Another person also tugged on his arm.

The man snorted, turned around, and continued walking forward.

Tangchi curled his lips and continued to follow them at a short distance, constantly muttering: "Your second master's...your second master's..."

Listening to their conversation, she realized that the lean man with small eyes was Aunt Li's husband.

Unexpectedly, the distance between the city and the village was further than Tangchi thought. The sun was getting higher and higher. Sweat flowed from Tangchi's forehead, and a slight blush appeared on his thin and yellow face.

She stopped to take a breath, wiped her sweat, and was worried that she had lost her, so she gritted her teeth and continued walking forward.

This field is really not planted by humans!

Finally, Tangchi saw the city gate.

After entering the city, Tangchi stood at the city gate with a look of sigh and envy. He grabbed his baggage tightly and looked at the bustling crowd and the lively shouts.

This is what his second master calls life! Why did she miss the mark by so many miles when she traveled through time?

Looking at the well-dressed people, and then at his own, Tangchi sighed resignedly. He couldn't die and wear it again, so he could only accept his fate.

Then, she tightened the baggage around her body and walked inside.

The market was very lively. Tangchi looked at it enviously and then walked to a nearby alley, where there were many people selling things from outside the city.
