70. Stone Cave

Suppressing the fear in my heart, I tried to crawl forward. Suddenly I found a tiny light, like a small grain of light suddenly appearing in the air, and it seemed to be right in front of me. I tried hard to reach out and grab it.

, but the cries that I heard before suddenly rang in my ears-the cries of those grown men.

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

"No... let us out, let us out..."

The voice was as gloomy as the cold wind in winter, making people shudder. I stretched out my hands to cover my ears, but I couldn't stop the voice from drifting into my ears uncontrollably. It was the kind of maddening cry of a big man.

The sound is unbearable.

"...Our souls are still alive...soul chain...let us out..."

Those voices kept drilling into my ears through my palms, and the voices gradually turned into cries and pleas. In a daze, I seemed to see many people through that little light...

They all have no face, only a shadow. Just like what Liang Zi said, their bodies are all chained, and their seven orifices and yin and yang meridians have soul-locking nails inserted...

They seemed to have seen me, and they all knelt down, crying like me and begging me to save them. I was also a little irritable, but the previous depression was gone, because after all I heard the voice!

It was like a drowning person grabbing a straw. Although it only lasted a few minutes, the feeling of time distortion and stagnation almost made me collapse. There was no sound and no light...

These cries made the surroundings no longer so quiet. In such a short moment, I regained some consciousness, gritted my teeth, and stretched out my hand towards the pinpoint-sized light spot.

Light is more important to people than food and water.

At least that's how I felt in that dark cave. Those short minutes or maybe seconds of suffocation and darkness left an indelible impression on me, as if the entire time and space had frozen.

, that feeling really filled me with a desire for light.

When my hand touched the light spot the size of a grain of rice, the weird sounds in my ears disappeared. The sensitivity to light after absolute darkness made me unable to open my eyes.

A warm and familiar hand stretched out, and I held it subconsciously. With that familiar feeling, I knew that the other person must be Liang Zi, and it was true.

When I rubbed my red and swollen eyes and wiped away the tears caused by the sudden light, I saw Liang Zi grinning and pulling me out.

"Brother Sheng..."

"Liangzi!"

We just called each other by name, and that was enough. The horror just now was more shocking than death, but now at least we are alive.

No need to think about it, Liang Zi also experienced the darkness just now, which can be felt from the excitement when he called my name just now.

The pine branches are burning, and the cave behind is still deep and dark. No light can penetrate it, and no shadow is left. It is a darkness that swallows everything, including light, sound, and all feelings.

All was devoured.

"Just now...you also experienced it, right?"

Although I knew it was probably the same experience, I still asked unconsciously.
