49 Snow Tracking(1/2)
Professor Goshak stood there for a while, coughed twice before slowly turning around and entering the castle.
Hoffa didn't know what was going on. When he saw Goshak leave, he came out from behind the wall where he was hiding, and chased Joey in the snow, one step deep and one step shallow.
"Hey, Joey!"
"Hey, wait for me."
After shouting several times, Joey turned his head.
He saw that the person coming was Hoffa and showed a surprised expression.
"What are you doing? Why don't you go to the Quidditch game?"
Hoffa panted to catch up with Joey while stepping on the snow at her legs.
"Didn't I not see you for many days? How do you feel in your body?"
When he talked about this, Joey waved his hand irritably.
"Don't mention it, I'd rather die that day."
"What's wrong?"
"What? Those damn guys actually said that I violated the teaching and staff rules and brought students into the forbidden forest privately. I needed to be suspended from my job and observed. I had no salary during the observation period. What should I do with my Maya?"
Joey became more and more excited as he spoke.
"I've been hospitalized these days, and it's so weak... Will these damn Europeans die if they live a good life? They must be called, I've had enough!"
Maya is an egg laid by Joey's previous generation thunderbird Taras.
Hoffa wanted to comfort Joey, but Joey said nothing about the call because he was half a European now.
After a few seconds, Joey also noticed his disobedience. He sighed and muttered, "Forget it, why am I telling you?"
Hoffa didn't mind, he chased after him and asked, "Maya was in a bad state?"
"It's so bad. Come and see it. Maybe I will bring him back to the United States after Christmas."
Said depressedly, Old Joy brought Hoffa back to his tree house.
Now every tree in the forbidden forest has been carved with mysterious runes.
As soon as he entered the Forbidden Forest, Hoffa felt eyes everywhere, invisible eyes.
Joey said in a depressed mood:
"Damn the dark wizard, Dumbledore and the principal, have marked the defense on every nearby tree. Now even if there is a mouse around the school, they will know. Many magical creatures feel surveillance, and they are far away from this area."
The two climbed into the tree house, and Joey helped Hoffa make a pot of tea in the living room, and sat on the chair weakly.
In the rattan basket on the coffee table in front of the two was a big gray-white bird egg. It looked dimmer than when Hoffa saw it last time, and the blue patterns on it were almost invisible.
Joey took out his reddish brown glasses, looked at the bird eggs carefully, and rubbed his hair worriedly.
"If this continues, I may really have to quit my job and go home. The environment here is too unfriendly to it, whether it is the weather or the wizard."
Hoffa quickly took Joey's glasses and put them on his eyes.
Under the perspective of glasses, Hoffa saw that the embryo was obviously losing weight in the eggshell."
It seems that he is in a bad state, Hoffa frowned. Is there nothing you can do about it?
"Of course there is a solution, but unfortunately it cannot be achieved in the UK."
Joey said worriedly:
"I have lived with Thunderbird for 0 years and know it quite well. When it hatched, it needs a dry and hot environment. The dryer and hotter the better. But now this environment is too unsuitable for its growth."
"Can't we simulate an environment?" Just like... Hoffa gestured with his hands. "The birds in the breeding base have magic with fire."
"This is a magical creature, not a turkey."
Joey said annoyed:
"Even if it can simulate a dry and hot environment, it cannot simulate the climate it likes. Do you know the climate? That kind of stuffy, oppressive, storm is coming, and lightning and thunder are coming."
“What kind of climate is Arizona, USA?”
Hoffa asked.
"Yes, Thunderbirds like to be born in that environment the most."
Hoffa looked at the bird egg, then looked at Joey's depressed old face. Suddenly a strange idea came to his heart.
"I seem to have a way."
Hoffa said slowly.
"What's the idea?"
"When I was in Diagon Alley before school started, I saw a store that specializes in weather. They sold all kinds of climates. Thundering, raining, deserts, and rainforests are sold, exactly the same as they are." (Note: See Chapter 4)
"There are still such stores?"
Joey was stunned.
"Yes, I saw it with my own eyes, isn't there any American wizarding world?"
Joey shook his head like a rattle.
Hoffa: "We can buy one, if..."
"How much?" Joey asked directly.
Hoffa thought for a while.
"If I remember correctly, it should be fifty Jinjialongs."
"Fifty Jin Jialong?" Joey gasped.
"I earn 15 Jin Jialong a month in Hogwarts, and I have to send ten to the United States every month, so I don't have that much money. And these abominable school leaders have stopped my salary because of the Forest Forest Forest."
Hoffa smiled bitterly.
Speaking of which, these wizards are really down-to-earth, and even if they understand magic, they cannot change the fact that they are poor. When I read novels in my previous life, the Weasley family was very poor because they had many children. It seems that Harry Potter was not rich after graduation, because they didn’t have much fuel to work in the Ministry of Magic.
Hoffa held the tea cup and took a sip of tea and asked, "Why are you here to work in the UK? Why don't you find something that costs a lot?"
"I have too many American families, and I feel upset every day. Taras didn't like my family either, it likes quietness. So I brought it to Hogwarts."
"Do you have many children?" Hoffa asked casually after taking another sip of tea.
“17.”
Old Joey straightened his legs and sighed to the sky.
Hoffa almost choked with a sip of tea.
“How many…?”
"17, 17. I'm a Mormon, do you think there are many?"
"I care what kind of believer you!" Hoffa exclaimed, "17, how did you do it, your wife..."
“I have 9 wives.”
Old Joey said calmly, "On the United States."
puff!!
A bit of hot tea spurted out of Hoffa's mouth and spitted Joey's face.
The sympathy brought by the other party's difficult situation suddenly disappeared. While coughing, Huofa looked at the familiar but strange old man in front of him in shock.
He felt that his worldview was rapidly collapsing, with nine wives and 17 children. What is that? Feudal society or slave society?
Why can I marry 9 wives and 17 children in 198?
"Really or not..."
Hoffa asked hoarsely.
"Why do you look like you're seeing a ghost?" Joey said in annoyance, wiping the tea juice on his face with a towel.
"It's said that I'm a Mormon, a Mormon. Our religion allows polygamy."
Huofa suddenly realized.
Then he asked without hesitation: "What are the conditions for entering the church?"
Old Joey was amused by Hoffa's expression. He shook his head and sighed, "How old are you, you're thinking about these things. But I'm reminding you that some things are not as beautiful as they look. If I really enjoy my life in America, I wouldn't have come to Hogwarts to do such hard work."
"Nonsense, you can only sigh in front of me after you have experienced it!"
Hoffa scolded. "You deserve to be short of money. It's not too much to ask me to say you're so poor. God has opened nine windows for you. It's time to deprive you of something."
"A man is a big man."
Old Joey beat him helplessly haha.
The conversation at the tree house was inexplicably completely deviated from the direction.
Hoffa completely left the Thunderbird's matter behind him, and Quidditch's matter behind him.
To be continued...
