Chapter 21: Food was stolen?

Everyone is cooking, so Wan Hongmei has to cook.

At this moment, she cooked something to fill her stomach, and saved some space for a snack together in the evening.

She went out and bought a lot of things today, and she made a particularly sumptuous dinner for her.

Every time their family eats noodles, they always eat noodles made from Wanhongmei.

It is difficult to make noodles in the wilderness, so Wanhongmei can only be made into dough slices.

After the noodles were cooked, Wan Hongmei put the fried pork dregs mixed with fresh shredded pork into it.

She also bought several handfuls of green vegetables, which cost a penny. They were very cheap. If she bought too much, they would spoil in the hot weather. Wan Hongmei only bought a few handfuls.

The food at Yun Huachun's house is different for people in the village, and I don't know why it tasted particularly delicious today.

Looking around from a distance, I saw what Wan Hongmei was putting inside and felt it was delicious.

Especially after they saw that Yun Huachun bought a lot of food today, they felt that there must be other delicious food in this pot.

Such as meat!

Wan Hongmei must have put some meat in the pot!

Otherwise, why would it be so fragrant?

Tonight's noodle soup was extremely thin, but the tender shredded pork and crispy lard residue inside were particularly fragrant.

Yuntao was still unsatisfied after finishing a bowl, but she still endured and prepared for the evening meal.

It was late at night, and the sound of snoring in the camp was accompanied by the croaking of frogs.

The Yun family sneaked into the space.

But as soon as they entered, the whole family was dumbfounded!

They used the place in the living room to store hundreds of kilograms of grain.

I brought some from home when I left, and some I just bought today. Why are they gone?

Did someone enter the space?

Wan Hongmei walked towards the kitchen in a daze and saw that all her pots and pans were still in their original shape.

The steamed pork she made and the mixed meat fillings were gone.

Where did all the food go?

Wan Hongmei felt empty in her heart, as if someone had torn it in half. That was the food her family used to survive!

Yuntao was also startled. She rushed over to open the refrigerator, and then went to her room to find the cabinet where the snacks were originally kept.

The eaten dishes in the refrigerator appeared again, along with her snacks.

I almost consumed it on the road a few days ago, but now it’s recovered again.

Yuntao suddenly had an idea in her mind.

"Tao'er!" Yun Huachun's voice came from outside.

Yuntao jumped out of the room.

"Have the things in our house stayed the same?" Yun Huachun said, looking at his wife and daughter.

Yuntao nodded.

Wan Hongmei, on the other hand, was immersed in the sadness of losing hundreds of kilograms of food.

The family discussed it in the living room for half an hour and finally came to a conclusion.

The space will be refreshed, if we count it from the day they traveled through.

The refresh time is about ten days.

In ten days, everything will be reset to its original state.

Everything put in it will disappear, whether it is food or other things.

But what you take out of it will not disappear.

For example, the strips of cloth tied around their legs are still on their bodies.

The family has mixed feelings about this situation.

"If the house keeps being refreshed, won't we be able to store food in it?" Wan Hongmei asked worriedly.

"You can put it in, but we only carry so many things on the road. If we put it in and take it out again, it will arouse people's suspicion." Yun Huachun frowned.

The same goes for his two remaining books, which disappeared in space.

"Mom, it refreshes every ten days, which means we can get more than a hundred kilograms of food a month."

"Even if you can't put food in it in the future, you don't have to worry about starving to death."

Although her daughter kept comforting her, Wan Hongmei still felt her heart was blocked.

"I don't know how much we can eat on the trolley..." Wan Hongmei said worriedly.

In Wan Hongmei's opinion, the food that can be eaten at home is only twenty or thirty kilograms, and other dry food is not as practical as these.

It is completely incomparable to the hundreds of kilograms of grain that disappeared out of thin air!

Yuntao noticed Wan Hongmei's unhappiness, and her eyes suddenly turned to the medicine box next to the TV counter.

"Mom, if our family can keep refreshing, we don't have to worry about running out of medicine."

"This is much more important than food!"

Hearing this, the solemnity on Wan Hongmei's face instantly dissipated.

"Yeah, how could I forget about this! This is a good thing!"

Wan Hongmei's condition adjusted quickly and she was even happier than the father and daughter.

The only one who is truly melancholy is Yun Huachun.

"The books and stuff will have to be taken out and put away later. When I find the town, I will go buy some books..."

The silver that was originally placed in the space is gone, but the original gold jewelry and pearls are still there, so it's not completely exhausted.

In this way, the family found space.

Not all the things I bought today were damaged, there were also carriages and donkeys.

Wan Hongmei took out two quilts from the space and placed them in the carriage, and also placed bamboo mats and pillows on them.

Yun Huachun was lying outside the car.

"Lao Wan, how about you sleep in this carriage?"

"Three people can still sleep even if they squeeze together!" Wan Hongmei said.

She felt a little sorry for the man in her family who was sleeping outside the car at this time.

"It's okay. I'll sleep outside. It's a lot cooler. You two can just sleep by yourself." Yun Huachun said.

He took off the straw placed on the top of the carriage, spread it on the ground, and fell asleep.

There is no problem in the carriage for four or five people, but sleeping for a family of three is a bit difficult, as it is extremely hot in the summer.

"Mom, do we put these quilts and clothes in every ten days so we don't have to wash them?" Yuntao suddenly asked.

Wan Hongmei felt sorry for her husband, who was tossing and turning and couldn't sleep. She was suddenly stunned when she heard her daughter's words.

"Hey, that's true."

After Wan Hongmei's thoughts were distracted, she quietly thought about how to use the space on her body.

Just like that, I slowly fell asleep.

The further they ran into the pass, the villagers found that there were more and more refugees around them.

Many refugees are not like them. A large village gathers together, and more often the whole family flees together.

Of course there are people who are more likely to be left behind.

Along the way, they also saw a lot of abandoned children, old people, and frail women.

They didn't bring much food, so they begged and begged, and the sounds of selling their children and daughters could be heard at both ends of the road.

"Master and lady passing by, please give my child a bite to eat..."

"...My mother has not eaten for three days..."

"...Good Samaritans, take a look at my daughter..."

Also on the way, there was a group of wealthy people.

Probably the woman in the carriage felt sorry for the child on the side of the road and rewarded him with a few steamed buns.

As soon as the guard handed over the steamed buns, the people following the child snatched up all his steamed buns.

Among them, there was even a father who just knelt down and begged with his child in his arms.

Men, women, old and young were fighting over each other, and the dirty and black limbs were in sharp contrast to the white steamed buns in their hands.
