Chapter 69 The Ministry of Magic's Routine Investigations

Fortunately, Umbridge obviously fits the definition of a good dog, and as soon as he comes in, he can't wait to search in this cabin.

She worked tirelessly to search any place where there was a trace, and occasionally knocked and touched the table and chairs with her wand, or stuck her nails to see if there were any letters underneath. Unfortunately, Ivan handled it very cleanly, so she could never find it.

"You guys, if there is nothing else, hurry back to the castle." Professor McGonagall hinted that they would leave quickly.

Ivan nodded and prepared to leave, but before he could go out, Umbridge's voice came over.

"etc"

"Minister Fudge, these children are just insiders in the report. I think they should know something?" Umbridge said.

"Umbridge, I remember what happened, Dumbledore has already told you very clearly. Their children don't know much, they just discovered clues accidentally and came back to notify me." Professor McGonagall said with a frown.

"But I think there may be something to hide." Umbridge took a few steps forward, her wide, loose face approaching Ivan and others. Ron, who was closest to, couldn't help but take a few steps back. Umbridge didn't care and said with a greasy smile.

"As far as we know, someone saw a little wizard riding on the back of a dragon yesterday."

"That's what Semo said. Didn't you ask in school? He is a famous explosion genius in school. Because using any spell will fail, Semo may want to make up some story so that people can pay attention to him." Ivan said lightly.

"Then I will definitely ask carefully." Umbridge's eyes were staring at Ivan, trying to see something from his face.

However, Umbridge was soon disappointed, and Ivan's expression did not change at all.

"Okay, Umbridge, maybe we should go to another place to see it." Fudge said impatiently. He was not interested in wasting time on the story made up by a little wizard.

In fact, Forge had little interest in the so-called dragon thing at all.

He came here in person just to see if Dumbledore was doing something private behind his back. It would be great if he could use this matter to weaken Dumbledore's reputation.

Although he admitted that Dumbledore also helped do some "small" work when he was seeking the position of Minister of Magic, since he had taken up this powerful position in the magic world, Fauci certainly did not want anyone to be on his head all the time, and even spoke more effectively than his minister!

This is something he absolutely cannot tolerate!

When Fauci first became the Minister of Magic, he naively thought that Dumbledore was old and would retreat behind the scenes in a few years or die directly.

But he didn't expect that after a full ten years, Dumbledore was still alive and was better than him. Fudge doubted whether he was waiting for him to die of old age. Dumbledore was still his principal in Hogwarts.

He knew that the greatest white wizard of this century had always had a good personal relationship with Nicklemay, and he might have drunk some life-long potion.

"Then I think we can go to the fourth floor of the castle to take a look. According to some students, they were warned at the beginning of school that if they don't want to die tragically, it's best not to get close there." Umbridge is also a good dog and soon came up with a new idea.

"Okay, then let's go there and have a look." Foggy became interested again.

"Foggy, do you think I'll hide a dragon in the corridor of the castle?" Dumbledore, who had been silent, suddenly spoke out.

"Look, I just look at it, how could the next dragon be hidden there?" Foggy noticed Dumbledore's eyes under the half-moon glasses, and there was a panic in his heart, but he still pretended to be calm and did not want to show his timidity in front of the other side.

"I have taken you to the scene of the accident, and that was just an ordinary attack." Dumbledore strengthened his tone and continued.

"Hagir was injured by magic. There were signs of fire curse casting in the places where the fire burned. The death of the unicorn was also due to the killing curse. There was no evidence that Hogwarts had raised a dragon or violated the Ministry of Magic's regulations!"

"I know, but this is a routine investigation by the Ministry of Magic!" Fudge felt that his authority had been challenged like never before, and spoke very hard.

Umbridge took out a search warrant at the right time and showed it in front of Dumbledore

However, Dumbledore didn't take a look, he just looked at Fuggy quietly.

In the already crowded wooden house, there seemed to be a sense of vague pressure for a moment, which made Harry and others very uncomfortable. The teeth curled up into a ball and clamped their tails. Umbridge wanted to speak but couldn't speak.

Ivan quietly looked at his melon-eating crowd, and had no intention of getting involved, because this was completely something Dumbledore did himself and had nothing to do with him.

What surprised him was that Dumbledore used the Philosopher's Stone to fish, but the Ministry of Magic didn't know about it, or the Ministry of Magic knew very little.

However, thinking about Foggy's attitude towards Voldemort's resurrection in the original work, Ivan understood a little. Foggy was not willing to believe that Voldemort was still alive, let alone set traps such a precious thing as the Philosopher's Stone.

Even if Foggy really agrees to do this, the location where the traps are set should be in the Ministry of Magic. Foggy himself takes dozens of Aurors to guard them.

Harry, Hermione and Ron did not have the leisurely mood of Ivan. What Fudge said made them a little worried. After all, they knew very well that there was a three-headed dog in the corridor on the fourth floor. They could not imagine what Minister Fudge would react after seeing it.

The solemn atmosphere lasted for a while, and Dumbledore finally broke the strange atmosphere.

"Of course, it's okay for the Ministry of Magic to investigate. There is nothing shameful about it." Dumbledore slowed down. After all, Fudge was the Minister of Magic. If he could, he wouldn't want to have a terrible relationship with the Ministry of Magic.

"I promise you that this is the last place to search." Forge also breathed a sigh of relief and took the initiative to give in.

Dumbledore didn't say much, and took the initiative to walk out the door. His calm and composed appearance made Fudge doubt whether his persistence was right.

But Fudge quickly strengthened his confidence again, because Dumbledore's previous reaction proved that he was definitely hiding something from him. Thinking of this, Fudge winked at Umbridge.

Umridge immediately understood and turned around and showed a tired smile at Ivan and others.

"You guys follow along, it's best not to let me notice any small moves you are doing on the road."
