Chapter 3 Ge Bao sets up a bureau

A few days after Yang Zhan had left, the Prince of Shu sent someone to pick up Zhu Pingxi and brought bad news. The war in Liaodong was not going well. Qin Liangyu's three thousand white-poled soldiers died and two thousand were killed, and his eldest brother Qin Bangping also died on the battlefield.

Malanlan cried and wanted to go north to save her mother. Ge Bao sent Fei Xiaojin and Shuai Yuanhong to escort her back to Shidui first, while he took Liu Jiankuan down the river in a boat and went along the river to visit immortals and seek enlightenment.

Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of this dynasty, paid equal attention to Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. The three were integrated to govern the country, which led to nearly three hundred years of peace and prosperity. Only then did Taoist temples and temples flourish like never before. It was common for monks and Taoists to study with each other.

Let me tell you, our common wish is to save people and help the world.

Ge Bao told everyone about his dream about tigers, and the monks and Taoist priests all laughed. There were always fierce tigers in the mountains, but the tiger problem had not happened for hundreds of years since the Southern Song Dynasty, and there was no sign of it happening in recent years.

As for man-made disasters, Hou Jin was still fighting in Liaodong and would not reach Chengdu; although bandits occasionally made trouble, it was just a small disturbance that did not cause chaos, and it would not cause chaos in the world.

Everyone suggested that Ge Bao go to Emei Zhongfeng Temple to consult Monk Miaofeng. Zhongfeng Temple was originally a Taoist temple. During the Jin Dynasty, an evildoer appeared. The Taoist priest in the temple had no choice but to ask Master Baozhangfeng Mingguo to help drive away the evildoer. After that, he politely invited him

When he was in charge of the temple, Master Mingguo converted the Taoist temple into a temple. Over the past few hundred years, there have been many eminent monks such as Zen Master Huitong and Zen Master Biefeng.

Master and apprentice, holding bamboo sticks in hand, climbed Mount Emei for a long time and were already out of breath. Seeing that they still had to climb several peaks before reaching Zhongfeng Temple, Liu Jiankuan was somewhat discouraged.

"Master, you go up alone, I'll wait for you here."

Ge Bao knew that although he was good at water skills, he was not good at climbing mountains. Just as he was waiting for his answer, an ape suddenly sprang out from the bushes, baring its sharp, long and big yellow teeth, and stood firmly beside Liu Jiankuan. Seeing Kuan Kuan, his scalp exploded.

, the hair roots stand up, making no sound.

Ge Bao bowed and saluted, stretched out his right hand and pointed forward: "Please! Please! Please!"

The ape looked at Ge Bao and walked forward boldly. The steep stone stairs seemed like flat ground. Along the way, the ape stopped and walked, always accompanying the steps of the master and the apprentice.

Liu Jiankuan couldn't tell whether he was an enemy or a friend, and he was worried about his master traveling alone, so he had no choice but to grit his teeth and follow him, making the journey very embarrassing.

When they arrived at Zhongfeng Temple, the ape went straight into the woods. The master and the disciple were welcomed into the main hall by the young monk.

Monk Miaofeng, the abbot, worked hard to promote Buddhism in Mount Emei and built more than ten monasteries. He was once named a "true Buddhist son" by Ming Shenzong.

After hearing Ge Bao's intention, he closed his eyes and recited the Buddha's name, and then recited in surprise: "The world will be in chaos, the tiger will be in trouble, Shu will be in trouble for many years, the tiger will level the sky and the sky will be clear."

Ge Bao was shocked, that's what happened, and said hurriedly: "If the master has a magic spell to save the common people, I am willing to sacrifice my life and try my best to drive away tigers."

Miaofeng said: "If you want a way to save me, you have to go to Fuhu Temple at the foot of the mountain."

Ge Bao thanked Miaofeng and took Jian Kuan out of the temple, but he was hesitant about which way to take. He had already gone up to the middle peak. If he took the stone stairs, he had to go up first and then down. He would not be able to reach Fu before dark.

Tiger Temple. If you want to find a shortcut, you are afraid of encountering jackals, tigers and leopards.

Just as they were hesitating, the ape came out of the woods again, looked at the two of them with determination, and then walked forward.

Based on his previous experience, Ge Bao knew that it was a spiritual monkey and must have been sent by the Buddha and Bodhisattvas to lead the way, so he followed it without hesitation.

Monk Guanzhi, the abbot of Fuhu Temple, was waiting for Ge Bao in the Bujin Forest outside the temple. The apes scurried into the dense forest again. Bujin Forest is a famous Buddhist garden with gurgling water and three bridges: Tiger Bath, Tiger Stream, and Tiger Roaring Bridge.

The streams, stone bridges, and pavilions all carry Buddhist teachings, and you will feel refreshed and refreshed when you are in them. Looking at Fuhu Temple from Bujin Forest, you can see numerous palaces and overhanging eaves.

"Do you know why the roof of Fuhu Temple remains spotless all year round?"

Ge Bao said solemnly, "Of course it is due to the boundless Dharma."

Guanzhi said: "It's actually the layout. If you understand the five elements, you should know the beauty of the layout."

Fuhu Temple is surrounded by green trees and overlapping palaces. It is an ingenious construction that forms a large courtyard in a quadrangle. It is surrounded by green mountains and beautiful water. The air currents in the four seasons rotate repeatedly, forming winds and clouds. Even animals, birds and insects cannot gain a foothold on the roof.

, not to mention forest branches, leaves and dust.

The ancient temple Zen forest is hidden deep in the dense forest, and the flowers and trees in the Zen room fully reflect the Buddhist artistic conception.

Guanzhi took Ge Bao to look around the layout of Fuhu Temple, walked to the stream in front of Wuliang Hall, pointed to the tower-like Zunsheng Building and said: "This Zunsheng Building was built when tigers were attacked in the Southern Song Dynasty. It was specially built for

To suppress the tiger, the above curse of subduing the tiger may be able to interpret your dream."

Ge Baozhi knew that Guanzhi was an eminent monk, so he showed a humble attitude: "Ask the abbot for advice!"

That night, Monk Guanzhi taught Ge Bao all his techniques of Fuhu, and it was agreed that Ge Bao would go to the Fuhu Temple at the mouth of the Pengshan River to lay out the Fuhu Temple along the Minjiang River, while Guanzhi would unite the temples and Taoist temples in Emei, day and night.

Reciting the Tiger Sutra will surely ward off tigers and ensure peace in southwestern Sichuan.

The next day, the master and the apprentice went upstream, without stopping at Chongtongguan, and went straight to the Pengshan Jiangkou Pier.

When the Minjiang River passes through Chengdu, the two streams run parallel to each other. At the mouth of the Pengshan River, the two rivers merge again. At the confluence, the river surface is wide and the water is vast. Diaojiao buildings are lined up along the river for four or five miles in an endless row. Boats are coming and going at the pier, and merchants and traders are busy shuttling back and forth.

This is the place where the waterway out of Sichuan must pass, and it has also been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times.

After Ge Bao and Liu Jiankuan got off the boat, they went straight to the back mountain. There was a small temple in the back mountain, also called Fuhu Temple, but its scale was much smaller than that of Fuhu Temple in Emei. It was Monk Guanzhi's disciple Ji Wan who was here with a young novice monk.

Stationed in Xi.

Ge Bao informed Ji Wan of the ins and outs of the future, and the two began to plan how to implement it. The Zun Sheng Building and other sutra buildings and ritual objects in the temple were naturally planned by Ji Wan. The bureaus inside and outside the temple, including the riverside pier, were all small projects.

The two largest projects will take a long time to complete and cost a lot of money, so they will have to ask for alms from wealthy families.

The first is to cast a deep-bellied copper bell with the Fuhu Mantra engraved on both the outside and the inside, and build a high-rise building to hang it. Ring the bell regularly in the morning and evening to activate the Fuhu Mantra.

Second, use pine, cypress, and bamboo saplings, and use the Five Elements and Eight Trigrams as formations to plant trees along the river from Fuhu Temple in Pengshan to Chongtong Temple in Meizhou. When planting trees, recite the Fuhu Sutra orally, one word per tree.

The word "60,000,9,07,17,17" means that each piece of Fuhu Forest requires 60,000,9,007,007,17 trees to be planted.

There are several other things that Ge Bao has to do in secret alone. Everything is arranged, but Ge Bao is still worried. Although he has a deep cultivation level and is a virtuous monk, if the world's affairs can be reversed with magic power alone, the world's affairs will be

too easy.

Jiwan accompanied Ge Bao to survey the terrain in front of the river and back mountain. On the edge of the cliff under the mountain gate of Fuhu Temple, there was a long dragon carved with its claws exposed and its teeth bared. It corresponded to the stone tiger at the mountain gate. An idea flashed in Ge Bao's mind and he was busy.

Liu Jiankuan prepared pen and paper, wrote a note, sealed it in a brocade bag, and handed it to Ji Wan, "Open it again in five years!"

Ge Bao returned to Chongtong Temple, summoned the Taoist priests in the temple, briefly recounted his visit to Emei and Pengshan, and solemnly warned: The world is about to be in chaos, and it is time for us to do our part. Everyone must follow the arrangements.

Practice diligently and prepare carefully.

Liu Jiankuan remonstrated: "Master, if it is as you said, I am afraid that we and a few monks and Taoists from Fuhu Temple can't handle it!"

"I will go to Chengdu tomorrow and I will definitely mobilize all the temples and Taoist temples in Sichuan."

"I think we should let Senior Brother Pingxi report this matter to the King of Shu."

Ge Bao's junior fellow apprentice, Taoist Dingzhen, laughed and said, "Hehehe, my nephew Kuan, this is the ingenious plan of our monk Taoist priest. To put it bluntly, it is just a conjecture. How can it be reported to the court for military information?"

"Anyway, I think we still need to make some military preparations. You see, now, some decent officers and soldiers have been sent to guard the border, or to fight in Liaodong. Those from Chengdu Prefecture, Meizhou Prefecture, Jiading Prefecture, or

They are old, weak and disabled soldiers, or they are scoundrels. If something happens, they will definitely be vulnerable."

Ge Bao muttered: "What Jian Kuan said makes sense, but it is inconvenient for us to interfere in the military. In this way, Dingzhen will go to the city tomorrow to post a notice that our Taoist temple will recruit 100 apprentices, and they will be trained as soon as possible. Jian Kuan will go home and be with you
