126. The Zealot's Inquiry

Kelly turned to look at Iona. She was one of the few people in this classroom who maintained a human form, but her face had turned into melted wax at this moment, and the place where her eyes should have been became huge.

Hollow.

And the other pretty female student behind Iona has turned into a big ball of meat, with the lower part of the dry arm sticking out, the swollen and deformed thigh pressing against the place where the head should be, and the facial features have been melted and flat.

The head is directly in front of the meat paste.

Kelly was unfazed.

This is not the first time. The reality of the world behind the scenes will impact her brain. It is not the reality that has been tampered with, but her perception.

Normal things turned into horrific mutant monsters in her eyes. Life and non-life began to be confused. The correct physical rules were reversed in her eyes. Up was down, down was up, good was bad, and bad was good.

She tapped the table twice with her nails.

Light shone into the room again.

This wasn't even the worst cognitive breakdown, it was another reason she studied psychology.

Earlier, she already had a more fully developed brain, but before she was that mature, she experienced a cognitive breakdown.

The world is broken, no one survives, and life withers away.

There was not a single living person in the whole world, only countless corpses lying on the ground. She ran away in a panic, shuttled through the city, and kept evading driven by fear.

Until she saw the scene again, she suddenly realized that all the corpses were living people, and the problem was her brain and cognitive ability.

Before she ran out of hope, she found a book, a book about psychology.

The knowledge in the book is deeper than the ocean and broader than the sky.

She understood that right is right, wrong is wrong, life is life, and death is death.

She struggled to crawl back to the real world from the collapsed dead universe, trying her best, almost going crazy, and falling into despair.

But she succeeded. She ran home barefoot and crying while holding a huge broken stone slab. She had been missing for more than half a month. When her parents saw her, they fell into ecstasy and excitement and worriedly asked her what happened.

what happened?

She couldn't give an answer.

This is one of the reasons why she chose to go to school in a different place, away from her past.

Since that day, she had been hungry for knowledge. She could not learn anything from the psychology books that had turned into stone, but she could learn real science in college.

Self-hypnosis, cognitive restructuring, image interpretation, she is already a true master in some remote branches of psychology.

The way to return to reality from a collapse is actually very simple, that is, to overwrite the broken madness with the cognitive backup already stored in the brain.

It's not a difficult thing, anyone with professional training can do it.

Kelly's expression returned to normal. No one except Iona noticed anything unusual, and Iona also tacitly agreed not to ask her any questions.

Kelly looked back at Hevin on the podium.

Hevin shrugged:

"Why haven't you heard of the little god I use as a teaching material? Maybe it's because it hasn't spread yet."

Veronica expressed her doubts expressionlessly:

"But Mr. Hwendrenger? I am also a folklore researcher, and I am very sure that the doomsday gods you mentioned have never appeared in modern research."

All the students looked at Hevin with interest, wondering how he would answer.

Hewen was a little helpless. How could she have heard of this tribe? He encountered it three hundred years ago, and after he left there, this tribe that worshiped evil ceased to exist.

Although everyone thought that Veronica was questioning whether Hevin was suspected of fabricating facts.

But in fact, Veronica was just curious about the answer to this question.

This is because she has never mentioned this matter in any of Hervendrenger's folklore research books, and even in the research on evil god worship and doomsday worship, she has never mentioned this evil god.

She is an avid reader of folklorist Hevind Lenger.

Hewen sighed:

"Indeed, it is impossible for you to hear about this evil god in any case, because that tribe has disappeared from this world, and I personally threw the last information about them into the fire, except for a few that I swore to keep secret.

Apart from those who know the story, I am the only one who still has stories about them in my mind.”

Hewen said in a deep tone:

"This is something that should not appear in the sun, and it is not a story that young people should listen to."

A tall young man stood up. He was one of Veronica's admirers.

Admirers are not suitors. Veronica has no suitors. How can a mortal expect to touch the stars in the night sky? We can only worship her with all our heart and soul.

"A well-logical story, Mr. Hevin, is simply perfect, because according to you, no one can verify the authenticity of your words. As a well-known scholar, do you just use fabricated stories to prove your theory?

"

Sjem thought he understood what the goddess meant, and she wanted to give the new professor some power.

Although he knew that his words were completely untenable, Sjem stood up immediately and used his own words to support the goddess's ideas.

Veronica is looking at me! Sjem almost laughed with excitement.

Veronica frowned slightly, and all sentient beings would angrily ask what could have caused this beauty to show such an expression the moment they saw her. Pain and sadness captured everyone's hearts.

Sjem instantly felt the surging anger. Although he didn't know why the goddess was sad, it must be the folklore professor's mistake, and he wanted to teach him a lesson.

Veronica frowned and looked at Jim.

Who is this guy?

He seemed to be a rather annoying guy who would appear around her from time to time, and now he even questioned Professor Hvendrenger, the master of folklore who wrote "The End is Near", how could he possibly deceive these ignorant children?

Woolen cloth?

Really ignorant.

Sjem continued:

"If what you say is true, please provide some evidence. I guarantee that no one in this room will spread the secret."

Hewen said:

"I will not say any evidence about that tribe. It is a huge shadow that your souls cannot bear."

Sjem patted his chest:

"Then you can tell me someone who has strong courage. If what you say is true, I will prove it for you."

If this matter is false, he will declare it to the outside world as a scam, damaging Hevin's reputation and allowing his goddess to take another look at him.

Veronica is very worried now. Should she stand up and speak for Mr. Hvendrenger?

But if the family members knew about it, they would definitely blame her severely.

No, Professor Hvendrenger cannot let his reputation be damaged. I want to support him.

Just when she made up her mind, another person had already stood up.
