339. Fanny and Felix(1/2)
The doctor said:
"Smart kid, you can go now."
Fanny nodded to the doctor with a smile and turned around.
The white wall quickly parted to both sides, revealing a long road about two meters wide.
There is an iron gate at the end of the road, and behind the gate is freedom.
She took a step forward.
The door was suddenly opened by a boy, who looked at his former friend Phoenix with fearful eyes.
A boy, Adam, discovers that there is something disgusting about his former best friend.
So he took a step back and closed the door.
Click.
Adam locked the door.
The doctor said disappointedly:
"It seems you haven't been cured yet."
Fanny raised her head in horror, the composure she had just forced to show was about to disappear.
The doctor grabbed her arm and lifted her off the ground.
The moment her feet left the ground, Fanny let out a piercing scream.
The doctor slapped Fanny on the mouth with his backhand, but unlike his father, he used the maximum strength an adult man could use.
It hurts when a doctor hits someone, it always does.
Blood dripped from the corner of the "boy's" mouth, and she could not say anything or do anything. The doctor could only drag her malnourished body towards her ward again.
On the road, she saw countless men who looked exactly like the doctor, constantly punching and kicking other children, verbally abusing them viciously, taking away their food, and forcing them to deny themselves over and over again.
The doctor walked to the ward and threw her in.
boom.
The "boy"'s body limply fell to the floor.
Fanny gritted her teeth and stood up, observing where she was.
The place is extremely cramped and there is no bed. In fact, there is only one thing except the white walls, floor and ceiling.
A mirror.
Fanny stood up and stared blankly into the mirror.
Staring in the mirror, he looked at the down-and-out boy with scrawled black hair, a few freckles on his face, bruises all over his body, and blood stains on the corners of his mouth.
Why does she keep staring like this?
Suddenly, she noticed that the boy in the mirror moved.
The boy entered puberty. He grew taller and taller, his Adam's apple protruded, he gained muscles, and his face became more masculine. The boy gradually turned into a teenager, but the teenager's knees were a little bent.
She also became him.
However, the boy was still growing up. His chin began to grow a beard, his arms had strong biceps, his eyes were steady, and he had short hair. In the process, the man slowly knelt down.
Phoenix looked at himself in the mirror. Except that he took care of his body a little more frequently than other men, he was no different from anyone else.
Phoenix got up and walked to the door of the ward.
He stretched out his thick arms and pushed open the unlocked door.
The hot air is coming.
The huge steel-making machines were running steadily under the care of workers, making a dull and loud noise.
The man wiped his sweat and now it was time to return to his work station.
Phoenix kept walking among the men with bare arms, walking towards his position.
The foreman seemed to have caught a glimpse of Phoenix in a hurry, and shouted at the top of his voice:
"Phoenix, get out of here faster!"
Phoenix laughed along with her while carefully avoiding every male body covered in sweat.
But before he could reach his position, the road ahead was blocked by someone.
Standing in front of him was a man who was much stronger than him. He was naked from the waist up to everyone here.
Phoenix whispered:
"Johnny, I have to go to work."
Johnny grinned and said:
"Phoenix, you've been working with us for half a year, right? But I heard that you seem to be very arrogant. No matter who talks to you, you always show off to them."
Phoenix explained in a panic:
"That's not the case, Johnny, I just like to be alone after all..."
Johnny's voice rose several times:
"Like to be alone? We workers must stick together. We are a big family. But now you say that you like to be alone. Are you looking down on us workers?"
Phoenix took a step back:
"No, Johnny..."
Johnny looked at Phoenix coldly:
"I've discovered it a long time ago. There's something wrong with the way you look at everyone. You seem to hate us. What's wrong? We are all workers. Do you still think you are a noble man? I heard that your family's conditions were poor when you were young.
That's nice, but now you've been reduced to working with us."
Johnny took a step forward:
"Many people have reported to me your weird behavior. You are the only worker who still wears his shirt while working. I know that you can't let go of your past. Maybe you still hold on to the glory of the past tightly and use contempt to
Others come to comfort you.
"But you want to be yourself. You have fallen to this. There is no difference between you and us."
Phoenix met Johnny's eyes. He knew that Johnny was the big brother of this factory. He was still trying to persuade him kindly. What Johnny wanted was only the unity and stability of the workers.
Phoenix repeated:
"I just like to be alone."
Johnny sighed in disappointment:
"You like to be alone, don't you? It seems I have to report your situation to the foreman."
His threat was obvious.
Phoenix quickly shouted:
"don't want!"
Johnny looked into his eyes angrily:
"Um?"
Phoenix repeated in a low voice:
"Please don't tell the foreman that I really can't lose this job, even if my salary is suspended. I will not be able to pay the rent and will be kicked out by the landlord."
Johnny asked:
"Then can you stop being special in the future? Stop hiding from your co-workers and treat them like your family and friends."
Phoenix nodded and said:
"able!"
Johnny touched his chin:
"Prove it to me."
Phoenix was stunned:
"how to prove."
Johnny thought for a moment:
"Take off your shirt first. Wearing so many clothes in a place like this is simply torturing yourself."
Phoenix's whole body froze.
He lowered his head and clenched his fists, remaining silent.
Finally, he packed up his things and walked out of the steel plant silently.
Raindrops slowly fell from the sky and wet his shirt.
To be continued...
