56. Unjust world(1/2)

Hewen took out his golden pocket watch, looked at it, and confirmed the time.

Yvette is coming to find herself.

In the brief meeting, Hewen could see her character to some extent. She was not the kind of person who was willing to wait.

When she misunderstood that she and Enid had emotional problems, she would definitely use feelings as a starting point to test herself.

Based on her relationship with Mayo.

Tanya, wearing a maid's outfit, pushed the door open a crack:

"Sir, a lady named Yvette is here to visit."

Hewen nodded:

"Well, prepare tea for the guests."

Yvette put her head into the room through the crack of the door and waved her hand with a smile on her face:

"Hello, Mr. Wright."

Yvette walked into the room, crossed her hands in front of her lower abdomen, and bowed in a very ladylike manner:

"I came to visit unexpectedly. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you."

Hewen smiled and guided:

"It's okay, I will warmly entertain Enid's friends. Speaking of Enid, didn't she come with you?"

Yvette felt a little proud. Sure enough, there was something going on between him and Enid.

Yvette sat opposite Hewen:

"I heard from Enid that you are very mature and know a lot of things, so I want to ask you some questions about relationships."

Hewen showed a clear look:

"Between you and Mayo? It is indeed a very complicated relationship."

Yvette sighed:

"After all these years, he is still not moved by me at all. I have tried my best to figure out his thoughts, but I still don't know what type of person he likes."

Hewen asked:

"Is he feeling distant?"

Yvette shook her head:

"No, he never gave me a glimmer of hope, explicitly rejected me, and often deliberately avoided me, but my hope did not come from him."

Hewen asked curiously:

"I never understand why you have been able to persist for so long without giving up?"

Yvette smiled playfully:

"This is a girl's little secret."

Hewen asked without leaving any trace:

"Did you see Mayo yesterday?"

Yvette shook her head helplessly:

"His people wouldn't let me into his room."

Hewen said:

"So you just left?"

Yvette raised her nose slightly:

"Humph, I just broke in, but Mayo wasn't inside."

Hewen said:

"Oh, why didn't he just say that Mayo wasn't inside, instead of letting you in?"

Yvette said nonchalantly:

"He thinks I'm annoying, but he won't see me anyway."

Hevin thought of other possibilities, such as the guards not knowing that Mayo was not inside.

Hewen asked:

"Aren't you worried that he has any secrets that he is hiding from you?"

Yvette took the snack handed over by Tanya and took a polite taste:

"Whatever secrets he has are his own business."

Hewen continued to ask:

"What if it's about feelings? He has never promised you, aren't you curious about what type of person he likes?"

Yvette pouted:

"Just him? It's impossible. Don't worry, he's just an idiot when it comes to the relationship between men and women."

Hewen continued to ask:

"Didn't you find out that he has some little secret? Maybe that's what's hindering the progress of your relationship."

Yvette looked thoughtful:

"When you say that, it does seem a bit strange. He didn't go out much when he was a child, and when he grew up, he was mysterious all day long..."

Yvette suddenly realized that she and Hevin were not familiar enough to share such things, so she pretended that everything was normal and changed the subject:

"Mr. Wright, what do you think about one-sided love?"

Yvette finally remembered that the purpose of her coming here was to test Hevin's opinion of Enid.

Hewen began to deal with it skillfully.

Flame and Light Elementary School.

This school was funded and built by the church. Although it is a little worse than other public and private primary schools, it is the only way out for poor families.

A middle-aged man with a big belly stopped Benita.

"Benita, don't leave yet, come to my office."

Little Benita jumped up when she heard this and followed the teacher to the office.

The girl was a little scared:

"Teacher Abbott."

Abbott showed a lewd smile:

"Benita, your family has always been poor, so you need money, right?"

Benita lowered her head:

"Um."

Abbott shook his fat belly and let out a disgusting laugh:

"Haha, little Benita, you told me about this before, how do you feel?"

Benita didn't know what to say.

Abbott lowered his head and got closer to the little girl:

"Well, I have already made an agreement with the canteen. If you are willing, you can accompany the aunts in the canteen to distribute breakfast and lunch, and you can get 30 pence every week."

Of the 30 pence, 10 pence was secretly given to the canteen by Abbott himself.

Benita was very scared because she didn't know how to talk to the teacher. Someone was already willing to support her living expenses and tuition, and her family's conditions had improved a lot.

The little girl squeezed out dry words:

"sorry."

Abbott's face turned a little worse:

"You do not want it?

"Do you want to work outside the school again? Your sister and I have told you that your focus now should be on your studies. Now with this good policy, your sister can afford to support you through high school.

"With your talent, you will definitely be admitted to a good university. At that time, you can also work-study. Only when you find a stable job after you graduate from university can you bring real and long-term happiness to your family."

Abbott said earnestly:

"Don't let down your sister's hard work, if you give up now..."

Benita whispered:

"No, Mr. Abbott."

Abbott looked at her doubtfully:
