The emperor gave these monks great courtesy and treatment.

These monks were invited to the palace today to give lectures to the emperor and the prince. All of them were eminent monks.

After this group of eminent monks arrived, the emperor also arrived.

But when the emperor arrived, the prince brought Uncle Yongxi with him, so he arrived belatedly?

It’s okay to be late, but is it because I want to learn Taoist things from this uncle?

Isn't this Chi Guoguo's provocation?

If these great monks look at you in a friendly manner, they are like ghosts.

Although Zhu Houzhao himself is not very old, he is quite fond of Buddhism.

He could only bite the bullet and said: "Father, father, I'm sorry..."

Emperor Hongzhi didn't want to say more and just waved his hand.

"Go back and sit down."

After a pause, he looked at Zhao Ce who looked calm.

Emperor Hongzhi didn't know what to say.

He could only ask Zhao Ce to sit down in his seat and prepare to listen to the master's lecture.

Originally, it was a gift from the emperor to allow Zhao Ce to stay with him and listen to the master's lecture.

After all, not everyone has this honor.

But Emperor Hongzhi couldn't imagine why Zhao Ce was so unreliable today.

Zhao Ce walked to his futon and knelt down.

Zhu Houzhao on the side did not dare to look around anymore, and waited patiently to listen to the lecture.

The eminent monk in the middle bowed to Emperor Hongzhi and recited: "Amitabha."

He opened the scriptures on the desk in front of him, lowered his eyes, and began to speak slowly.

"This is what I heard. At that time, the Buddha was in the country of Savatthi..."

He steeled himself and stared at a small area not far ahead, thinking about how he could modify the firecracker he had just obtained.

"The fuse is exposed, and it is easy to misfire in rainy weather. You have to clamp a piece of flint, set an anvil next to the fire hole, and change it into a flintlock gun..."

"I haven't seen the front sight and life gate yet. I need to study this..."

"I wonder if there are any famous craftsmen nowadays. It would be great if I could find one to look into the details with me..."

Zhao Ce listened to the scriptures while immersed in his own thoughts.

Suddenly, the text stopped.

Zhao Ce raised his head subconsciously.

Then he saw a kind-hearted monk sitting in the middle, looking at him.

Zhao Ce moved his eyes away, thinking about Emperor Hongzhi's reward, could he refuse it next time...

He really has no research on Buddhism.

Just as I was thinking about it, I heard the monk say: "Your Majesty, I have a question that I would like you to answer."

Emperor Hongzhi relaxed a little and smiled at the great monk: "Master's Dharma is profound, just ask."

The great monk nodded and said slowly: "The wind blows and the flags move. Is it the wind or the flags that are moving?"

This is a saying by the Sixth Patriarch Hui Neng that is full of Buddhist teachings.

The answer, of course, is that it already exists.

Now that the master is asking this question, he probably wants to explain this statement.

Zhu Houzhao also admired Buddhism very much and started thinking about it now.

Emperor Hongzhi thought about it seriously and said: "The wind didn't move, the flag didn't move."

"It is the heart of a benevolent person that is moved."

The great monk seemed to be very happy with Emperor Hongzhi's wisdom, and finally there was a smile on his fat face.

"Your Majesty is right."

He turned to ask: "What do you think, Your Highness?"

Zhu Houzhao also knew this allusion.

He nodded and agreed: "Father is right, it is the heart of a benevolent person that is moved."

The great monk turned his attention to Zhao Ce behind Zhu Houzhao.

Zhao Ce looked back at him and frowned slightly.

The great monk continued to ask: "What does this master think?"

After hearing this, everyone turned their eyes from Zhu Houzhao, who had just answered, to Zhao Ce.

Zhao Ce looked at the monks next to the great monk with a bit of hostility in their eyes.

I thought to myself, what happened just now may not be over so quickly.

He just wanted to help Emperor Hongzhi keep fit, but he made these monks think that he was sent by Taoists to make them look bad.

The thing is done and there is nothing we can do about it.

We can only deal with it bravely.

Zhao Ce said: "When the wind blows and the flags move, the heart can move accordingly."

As soon as these words came out, Emperor Hongzhi and others looked at Zhao Ce curiously.

Everyone present has more or less some basic knowledge.

Zhao Ce, a layman, could only smile calmly when they looked at him.

Religion, right?

He is an authentic successor to socialism. If you really want to say it, I won't be lying to you.

The great monk said calmly: "The donor saw the wind moving and the flags moving, and his heart moved accordingly."

"It shows that if the donor is alienated, he will not know what to do."

"The enlightened person says that everything starts from the heart. If the heart does not stop, everything will not stop. If the heart does not move, then everything will not move."

Emperor Hongzhi and others listened to this explanation and nodded in agreement.

It turns out that the master really wants to re-explain this Buddhist sentence, and what he said is full of Buddhist principles. When you hear it, you will know that you are a person with advanced practice.

Zhu Houzhao also looked at Zhao Ce with some teasing.
