Vehicle design optimization mainly involves reducing the weight of the vehicle body, optimizing the appearance of the vehicle body, and reducing wind resistance to improve the acceleration performance of the vehicle.

It’s not that faster acceleration is better, it depends on the person’s tolerance and comfort level.

In this regard, Xinghai Group designed a new car body shape.

In terms of body weight, the overall weight is slightly lighter than the current CER2-300 body, but the structural strength has not decreased, but has increased a lot.

For example, the CRH2-300 EMU with a speed of 300 kilometers per hour uses a large-section hollow profile aluminum alloy body, with the thinnest part being only 5 mm. Each carriage weighs about 7 tons, making it the lightest EMU of its kind in the world.

But its load capacity is actually between 5 tons and 15 tons. If it is too light, it will float at high speeds.

XHRH-500 uses the same aluminum alloy material, but Xinghai Group’s aluminum alloy has stronger performance and more compact structure, so the vehicle is lighter in weight.

In terms of body shape, the length and width of the XHRH-500 are not much different from those of conventional EMUs, except that the chassis is shorter and the overall height is also shorter.

The front of the car is longer and more pointed, and has some more aerodynamic holes to balance the car body and prevent the car body from floating due to excessive speed.

But within a speed of 200 per hour, they can provide buoyancy, allowing the car to start faster.

In terms of traction system upgrades, the main thing is that the traction system of high-speed rail vehicles should be equipped with efficient motors and control systems to provide greater traction and can quickly respond to the driver's instructions to achieve rapid acceleration and deceleration.

Motors and control systems are the core technology of vehicles.

The traction motors of CRH2 EMUs rely on imported brands such as Mitsubishi and Hitachi.

Xinghai Group's electric motor technology is excellent and has been supplied to its own car brands. Although it is two different things from EMU motors, there are many technologies and processes in common.

The advanced high-speed rail technology purchased by Muyang includes these core technologies, so the traction motors developed are much more powerful than their international counterparts.

For other key components that are highly dependent on imports, such as "high-speed rail bearings," Xinghai Group made a breakthrough a few years ago.

Muyang will also focus on the reliability and ease of maintenance of the traction system.

For example, the modular design makes it easier to repair and replace parts;

At the same time, an intelligent monitoring and maintenance system is introduced to detect vehicle operating status in a timely manner and provide maintenance recommendations and predictive maintenance services, thereby minimizing failures and extending vehicle service life.

Software has always been Xinghai Group's strength, so Mu Yang is not worried about this aspect.

Like mud or dust on the track, high-pressure gas is blown on the track surface in front of the wheels, which is equivalent to maintaining the track, so the more you run, the cleaner it will be.

The entire vehicle is monitored, such as wheel defects, insufficient air pressure, car body derailment, changes in wheel pressure, etc. All are monitored in real time, and any problems are prompted just like a luxury car.

The sections traveled by the train are also monitored in real time. If there is a problem with the track, it will be recorded and fed back to the main system. This function also facilitates railway workers to maintain the track and quickly know where the problem is.
