If history is a rushing river, then the powerful Tang Dynasty is a colorful wave on this surging river! The Tang Dynasty has been famous for its unique Tang culture, powerful martial arts, prosperous economy, and strong national strength for the ages. It has become the center of the world at that time, supported the world at that time, and became an immortal monument in Chinese history! It is admired by future generations!

The Tang Dynasty was different from other dynasties. This huge wave had two dazzling waves, which complemented each other. One was the "Zhenguan Governor" founded by the famous wise ruler Emperor Taizong of Tang. During the Zhenguan period, the country was harmonious, the people were prosperous, the people were strong, the world was peaceful, the people lived and worked in peace, and the family was enough; "The enemy did not dare to take the moon to attack the border, and the scholars did not dare to bend their bows to repay their grievances." The border was peaceful, and all countries returned to their hearts. No one dared not to obey the will of the "Tian Khan"!

Another wave is the "Kaiyuan Prosperity" founded by Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Li Longqi. Its strength is greater than the "Zhenguan Reign" founded by Emperor Taizong of Tang, and it complements the "Hanwu Prosperity" founded by Emperor Wu of Han. It is one of the two recognized heydays in Chinese history and one of the two indelible milestones in Chinese history.

However, there was a very uneasy era between these two waves. The Tang Dynasty was once in a dilemma of internal and external troubles, which could be called a "prosperous crisis".

After Emperor Taizong of Tang, although Wu Zetian had the wisdom of Wu Zetian and the queen's heart were strong, the hegemony pioneered by Emperor Taizong of Tang declined and wars on the border were increasing. During Emperor Taizong of Tang, the resignation of the border was no longer seen. Emperor Gaozong of Tang and Wu Zetian made mistakes in dealing with the Turkic issue, which led to the rebellion of the Turkic, established the historical "Post Turkic" and harassed the northern border, and the north was uneasy from then on. The military peak of the Later Turkic once penetrated more than a thousand miles deep into Yunzhou (now Datong, Shanxi). The military peak pointed to the hinterland of the Central Plains. Even the "Anbei Protectorate" established by Emperor Taizong of Tang could not gain a foothold in the north of the border, and had to move south to the south of the Great Wall.

The post-Turkish in the north, Tubo, which occupied the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and the emerging Arab Empire was the main political and military opponent of the Tang Dynasty in this special period, and became the most serious border trouble of the Tang Dynasty.

During the Jingyun period, the Tang Dynasty not only had very serious border troubles, but also had a huge political crisis. Wu Zetian's young daughter, Princess Taiping, wanted to imitate Wu Zetian as the empress, display political skills and win over the court officials. Most of the court officials joined their party, and the power of the world was everywhere, thinking about eliminating Prince Li Longji. The Tang Dynasty was in a difficult situation and faced a difficult choice, and Chinese history was at a crossroads.
