Chapter 7;

First meeting Zhang Yi

In the Chu Kingdom, King Wei of Chu died and was succeeded by Prince Mi Huai, who was called King Huai of Chu.

The first thing he did after he succeeded to the throne was to recruit beautiful women from all over the world to fill his harem.

This King of Chu has always been a dandy, and this move caused dissatisfaction among the ministers of Chu State. At the same time, the three Jin Dynasties (South Korea, Zhao State, and Wei State) were vying to establish an alliance with Chu State, except Qin State and Qi State.

Zheng Xiuer felt that the opportunity had finally come, and she asked Mi Xiaoya to accompany her to the talent show. Mi Xiaoya was unwilling but agreed anyway, and she wanted to help Zheng Xiuer realize her dream.

Zheng Xiuer has been practicing singing and dancing hard in order to one day be able to enter the palace and change her destiny.

Mi Xiaoya had no intention of entering the palace and claimed that she was Zheng Xiuer's maid and accompanied Zheng Xiuer to participate in the general election.

This was the first time that they left Yunmengze and stepped into Yingdu, the capital of Chu State. The most prosperous place in Chu State, where wealthy businessmen gathered, scattered all over the place, and bustling with traffic.

Mi Xiaoya was not confused by the bustling scene in front of her like Zheng Xiuer.

She still thinks Yunmengze is good, with blue sky and white clouds, mountains and rivers and elk as companions.

I heard from my previous aunt that some beautiful ladies failed to enter the palace and became palace maids, and were assigned to third-class palace ladies. Some of them never had the chance to meet the King of Chu in their entire lives.

After they had a meal at Chuguo Restaurant, Mi Xiaoya sent Zheng Xiuer to register for a physical examination, and then went to the Chu Palace to train on court etiquette and wait for the election.

Mi Xiaoya and Zheng Xiuer settled down in the Zhang Xiu Terrace of the Chu Palace. The beautifully carved Zhang Xiu Terrace was a hundred times larger than the Yun Mengze home where they lived. It is conceivable that the palace of the Chu Kingdom could not be reached after a day's walk.

Don't play anymore.

The Chu State has strong soldiers and horses, millions of men in armor, and a prosperous economy. How many people in the world can match the Chu State in recruiting beauties?

Zhang Yi was stunned and felt very warm in her heart. She was immediately attracted by the girl in front of her. She was also slim and very beautiful.

Mi Xiaoya walked to the Wangjiang Tower, the largest restaurant in Chu State. She looked up and saw that it was three stories high and a hundred feet wide. Six people could stand side by side at the door at the same time. The large plate at the door was inscribed by the late king himself.

Mi Xiaoya saw Zhang Yi wearing a patched tattered shirt and the waiter treating Zhang Yi so rudely. She didn't want to see a weak person being bullied. Moreover, seeing Zhang Yi's gentle scholarly spirit, she remembered Qin Xiaowu back then.

Zhang Yi spent a lot of money on this meal, which was enough for Mi Xiaoya's living expenses for a year.

At this time, Zhang Yi, a successful disciple of Guiguzi, came out of the mountain.

Mi Xiaoya took out the money to settle the bill for Zhang Yi, but she didn't have much left!

Although they entered the palace, they were still far away from the place where the King of Chu lived.

Zheng Xiuer said, "I will never lose the election!", as if he was determined to win!

Mi Xiaoya waited for Zheng Xiuer to be successful in the candidacy before she had the chance to come out. She moved into the inn and loved to wander around during the day.

Simple, straightforward, direct and bold.

He was dressed in rags and couldn't pay the bill for dinner at the restaurant, so he was kicked out. He happened to bump into Mi Xiaoya's arms as he walked in. Zhang Yi quickly apologized.

She wanted to inquire about the whereabouts of Qin Xiaowu. Qin Xiaowu was a traveling scholar. To find him, she had to go to places where scholars liked to go.

So Lu said angrily, "I'll pay for his meal."

Fortunately, Zheng Xiuer gave her her own pocket money, otherwise she wouldn't be able to come up with so much money.

Mi Xiaoya didn't seem to care about the money at all, so she asked Zhang Yi to express her thanks first and tell Zhang Yi about the crowd in Wangjiang Tower. Are there many scholars like him?

Zhang Yi understood what Mi Xiaoya was thinking. She wanted to find someone, and judging by her appearance, she was not a noble person.

So he asked: "May I ask the girl's name, who are you looking for, and what is your relationship with the girl?"
