【1182】It is very important to do your homework well

The above statement is inaccurate. In fact, ventilators are divided into invasive and non-invasive. There are not many other departments of invasive ventilators. There are more than one or two non-invasive ventilators.
First, explain what invasive and non-invasive are. The difference lies in the word "invasive" namely trauma. The invasive and non-invasive of the ventilator correspond to invasive mechanical ventilation and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
Mechanical ventilation, to put it simply, refers to the connection between the machine and the patient. Invasive means connecting the ventilator with the patient when intubation is made. Non-invasive means connecting the ventilator with the patient without harming the human body by masks.
The widely defined non-invasive ventilation not only refers to the use of a ventilator, but also includes diaphragm pacing, etc. The latter are rarely used clinically and are difficult to see. The techniques that are rarely used clinically have always had only one reason, and the treatment cost and effect do not match.
Non-invasive ventilators can be used much more in respiratory medicine. By the same token, the cost is less, and the patient is relatively affordable and has good efficacy. The early treatment of non-invasive ventilation can reduce the possibility of further worsening of the disease and requiring invasive ventilation.
Invasive ventilators can also be used for non-invasive ventilation. So on ICU, you can see that some patients may need non-invasive ventilation after being extubated, so they can use invasive ventilators directly. Anyway, there are many ventilators like ICU. However, it is impossible for non-invasive ventilators to become invasive ventilation. Because non-invasive ventilators are cheap, the compressor power and other indicators are destined to be far from meeting the requirements of invasive ventilation.
Ventilators are valuable, especially invasive, and must be managed by a dedicated person. They are usually designated nurses. Nurses are also the ones who usually provide disinfection and other maintenance management for ventilators.
After ventilator training, nurses can adjust some simple parameters, but it is only doctors who can adjust the ventilator parameters for critically ill patients, because only doctors can understand the patient's monitoring indicators.
How to adjust the parameters of the ventilator can be said to be the skill of a professional doctor related to the study of human breathing.
When I had time this morning, the enthusiastic teacher Xin Yanjun stood next to the ventilator and gave lectures to the new students: "Do you know what we adjust the ventilator parameters based on?"
"The most commonly used and useful monitoring indicator should be the blood gas analysis of the patient," said Xie Wanying.
Hearing her answer quickly, Xin Yanjun was stunned for a moment, but she didn't expect that she was so accurate. Ventilator management has always been the focus of internal medicine. It is not easy for a surgeon to come to the respiratory medicine department to study this on the first day.
Xie Wanying's answer doesn't seem to be learned from books simply, but has some clinical experience. Xin Yanjun wonders if she has learned some relevant knowledge in clinical practice.
Teacher Xin’s suspicion is correct, but Xie Wanying is not easy to confess, she was reborn. In the past, she worked in the laboratory department, and the most common ICU performed blood and gas analysis on patients on ventilators every three days, and even had these examinations urgently in the middle of the night. With her years of work experience accumulated over the years, she may have understood the monitoring indicators of ventilators than ordinary internal physicians.
The work of the laboratory department should be connected with clinical practice, and these work contents will be studied and studied according to clinical practice.
