Chapter 136: The Silent Arrival (3): Dragon Egg (Part 1)

"Not necessarily, he is much stronger than you. In terms of fighting alone, you are not as good as him in terms of body shape, strength or skills. Moreover, he can kill the most proud body of the "crazy body" without using any magic power - the "silent werewolf". In fact, a strong man with firm belief is the most attractive. If we are really caught on the battlefield, I would really be reluctant to kill him." Melinar's tone was filled with an admirable smile.

"Did you fall in love with him? A human? Do you really want a few more half-lost people in our castle? My Miss Melinal." Dylan's tone eased, and he looked at the thin Melinal with a doting look on his face.

Then, he took down his hands that were pressed on Melinal's cheek. After hesitating for a few seconds, he did not make any further moves. Instead, he took two steps forward and sighed with his back to her.

“I did send him an invitation to join the Church of Hope, but he refused. For ordinary imperial soldiers from small towns or villages, becoming the lost is a way of leap in identity, and they are happy to do things for us.

But I think the Empire has been very successful in the moral education of soldiers. Even in the wasteland world, most of them can firmly uphold their identities and ideals. Over the past few days, I have been thinking about a question, Dylan."

Merinal turned around and said, looking at Dylan's cloaked back with some doubts, without moving her body.

"Tell me, let's see." Dylan did not turn around, letting the breeze blow his cloak, causing the part dragged on the ground to rise slightly, and have a brief and intimate contact with the fallen leaves.

"If the Lost can easily become human, how long can the three major churches exist? We do not have the sufficient resources and mature education system as much as the empire, nor the steam machinery can bring new and beautiful lives to the Lost. The Lord we believe in is an illusory existence, and many people cannot glimpse at those gods in their entire lives."

"It will collapse in an instant." Dylan gave a clear answer:

"The world has become the current situation because of the Unconscious Virus, or 'some mysterious and extraordinary power'. Originally, we were almost able to enter the power era completely at the end of the Steam Era and enter a new era of technological prosperity, but the Unconscious Virus brought the whole world back.

If there is a potion that reverses the identity of the Lost One, I am afraid this era will end."

Melinar heard the pain and confusion carried by Dylan's slightly trembling voice.

She was silent for a while, squirmed with her lips and said:

"Actually, the reader, the [Illusionist] Kayas once studied two drugs called "Convert Z-99" and "Intensification-C01". One is to try reverse conversion, and the other is to force breakthrough the constraints of order 5. Among the taboos set by the Creator, the promotion from order 5 to order 4 is the first step to break through nature. Order 4 cannot be obtained innately, but after truly reaching, it is considered that he officially embarks on the path to reaching multiple gods and becoming gods."

"By the way, I heard about Kayas when I was in Chekavsk. He was killed by a young man from the Socrates Guard. If I guess correctly, it is the [Order] you mentioned, named Wright Socrate. And, it seems... it seems that Aaron, who has half betrayed the church, is also resentful of Kayas' death and is also investigating Wright." Dylan exchanged a relatively important information.

"By the way, what is our pope's attitude towards this [Order]? You came back a few days earlier than me, and you should have reported this discovery to the top, right?" Dylan thought for a few seconds and added in a sharp tone.

"He... I really want to meet that young man. After all, [Orders] are rare and difficult beings. They are generally promoted to Level 3: they have no special abilities before the battle. I think this is also the reason why he has been staying in the human world. In fact, I can smell a smell of blood from him, which is very strong, and it is the exclusive smell of the high-level loser." Merinal replied.

Standing behind Dylan, she subconsciously took two breaths with her nose and tasted the smell in the air.

"The smell of blood? High-level Lost? Is this your new discovery, or is it that I live too little among humans that I can't tell the exclusive smell of ours at all?" Dylan turned and leaned down, approached Merinal's body, and sucked hard at the breath of her body that belonged to the exclusive Lost.

After taking a few strong and deep breaths, Dylan did not feel the so-called "bloody smell". Instead, it was the fragrance of precious perfume and a faint smell of high-sugar fruit.

Immediately afterwards, he made an intoxicated expression and said with a hook on the corner of his mouth:

"I can't smell the blood on you, but it's a woman's smell. Miss Merinal, you are still so beautiful, so charming, and so charming. From this point of view, you are not a high-level loser."

"Haha." Merina chuckled:

"The High-level Lost is a new word that has not been recognized by any church and is recognized by the human world. It is my semi-original. One thing I must admit is that I am indeed not the High-level Lost. In addition to the higher order level, the so-called 'high-level' also has one point, either being recognized by the gods or having the power left by the gods in my body."

"The existence of the gods...the power left by the gods?" Dylan held his chin with one hand and thought.

"The power of red is a power of red. I saw him use it when I touched the dark magic source power and escaped from Donusk. Perhaps the smell of blood came from this. The young man's body contains many powers that we cannot understand and cannot explore. So I don't want to be enemies with him, do you understand? Dylan." Merinar suddenly became serious when he got his voice.

This chapter is not over, please click on the next page to continue reading! "But the object I want to kill is Brett. Could it be that just because I am with Wright, do you believe that the [Order] will definitely be enemies of me for revenge for his companions?" Dylan defended with a half-smile.

"You still don't understand what I said, as if what I just said was like playing piano music to a pig. I repeat that the Imperial soldiers generally have a strong sense of morality, and they even receive more moral education than we do.

You will meet independent teams, explorers, site hunters, and even adventurers squads heading south from the Cruzd Federation to make robbery, release desire, kidnapping, and even killing indiscriminately because of venting anger. But how have you ever heard of these things in the regular Imperial Legion?” Melinar asked in a stern tone.

"But……"

"No, but." Merina refuted without any objection.

Immediately afterwards, she stretched out her index finger and pressed it against Dylan's lips. She shook her head slightly, signaling him not to do stupid things.

"Now for us, the [orderer], the high-level loser, and even the war in the quiet highlands is not the main thing. The most important thing is the god, the god named "The Daughter of Mechanism", which is said to be built by the Cruzd Empire. The Socra Council has agreed to cooperate with us. Tens of thousands of people in the entire Socra will reach the edge of the highlands at the last moment and will not be fully committed to the war.

Now as long as we can get a little vital information from the dragon egg, they will surely help us open the way to the realm of gods. Gods are more tempting and worth pursuing for us losers, aren’t they?”

"Really, yes," Dylan nodded:

"But I heard that the Imperial Crown Prince Ivant is also interested in the 'Daughter of Mechanical Yuan'. He has recently interpreted many scientific documents left by the Cruzd Empire and developed a lot according to the cat-painted and silly drawings. Although his attitude towards gods is very ambiguous, the mechanical heart that can provide the city with a thousand-year power must be his goal."

"So, this is also the point. I think, Dylan, you have finally made some progress. If your wisdom and ability to analyze things have not been improved, you will always be at the level of ‘pain’ and stop. Our lives are all limited, but the exploration of wisdom and mystery is always infinite." Merinal said with his head held high.

"It is actually a stupid thing to pursue infinite wisdom with limited life. But reality is driving us to do it, right? My... Miss Merinal."

Dylan suddenly looked at Melinar with a doting look on his face.

Merinal did not escape, but stared straight into Dylan's eyes.

As they looked at each other, both of them felt the blood in their bodies boiling, and the magic power was triggered and surging uncontrollably.

Dylan, who was slightly tall, even felt his heart become hot, as if it was a steam engine that suddenly increased its horsepower, and he jumped violently.

Two or three seconds later, Melinar suddenly turned his gaze aside, sighed and said:

"Dylan. I often gain wisdom through meditation, absorb magic power, and hope to advance to the level. But during the meditation, I will inadvertently contact other universes."

"So what? This does not prevent our...long-lasting love." Dylan muttered unhappily.

"When I came into contact with a certain universe, I heard a word called 'psychedelic love'. It emphasizes the conceptual love between two people. They do not come into contact with each other frequently, but use the best concepts to think about each other as much as possible. Such lovers are perfect and are not affected by any external factors.

In the world created by the Creator, we are all ordinary people, all ordinary people. Once he wakes up, we will disappear or fall into eternal darkness. Therefore, we need to keep some fantasy space for each other. Through imagination, we can become great, less ordinary, and become the most perfect object."

"That's right." Dylan shrugged and agreed.

"Then can we go to the 'warning room' now? Go and see that... dragon egg." Dylan asked expressionlessly as if he was not concerned.

"I think you should first lead your horse into the stable and let those children take good care of it. By the way, horses of this era are not a good means of transportation. I suggest you get a 'Derry motorcycle', which can help you walk through the yellow sand and Gobi." Merinal suggested with a professional smile.

...

After giving the horse to the two lost teenagers wearing leather jackets who specialize in the animals in the castle, Dylan followed the footsteps of Merinal, who had re-loaded black parasols and walked through several areas in the front of the castle.

They first passed through the overall layout and showed a crescent-shaped "scarlet moon zone".

There is a fountain that covers not too much land, and there are unknown trees that are planted around the surroundings, emitting a refreshing fragrance.

When Dylan was about to walk out of the "Fei Moon District", he deliberately looked back at the sculpture in the center of the fountain.

The strong knight was holding up his sword at the sky, as if he was trying to use his body to fight against the powerful gods in the depths of the universe.

Sculptures that symbolize power and battle seem to exist when the castle was first built.

"I remember that everything here seemed very simple in the past few years. I didn't expect that there were so many interesting buildings in just a few years." Dylan suddenly sighed.

"In fact, compared with the lowest-level cities in the human world, which are full of steam machinery, it is still much simpler. Let's go, the 'Main Palace' is in the next area. Now most people are not in castles and residential areas. The 'Main Palace' is not open for the time being. We just need to go directly to the 'Sub-Tower Tower'." Merinal urged.

After walking for almost half an hour, Dylan and Melinar finally saw the white and magnificent "Main Palace" in the "Main God Area".

According to the scheduled plan, the two deliberately made a detour and found a mottled metal staircase in a semi-hidden corner behind the palace.

Dylan always felt a sense of crisis when he walked up the stairs built inside the circular "sub-tower tower" with "dongdong" and "squeaking" sounds when he passed by.

It seemed that the stairs were too old. Not only did they sway continuously when climbing, but they were covered with mottled marks such as rust, and several places broke directly from the middle, forcing him to take any step carefully.

After a difficult "crawl" time that seemed like a century, the two finally arrived at the "warning room" mentioned by Merinal.

"I didn't expect that the 'Sub-Tower'...there are only this room, and inside...there are stairs that are about to be scrapped." Dylan gasped and couldn't help but complain.

While standing by the door for a few seconds to recover his strength, Dylan looked around the overall layout of the room.

This "warning room" is particularly bright, and ordinary losers should not be able to stand here for more than half an hour.

In addition to the walls near the door, most of the walls are replaced by a layer of bright floor-to-ceiling glass, allowing the sun to shine unscrupulously.

However, only brick and stone walls similar to the "Main Palace" can be observed outside, which should be the effect of some kind of magic source power related to disguise.

Moreover, a white stone pillar wrapped in various strange patterns stands at equal distances between the glass walls, which should serve as a support to the top.
