51 School City

The famous academic city in the Seven Kingdoms is located on the banks of the Honey Wine River and is a complex of buildings covering a large area.

It does not have the majesty of the towering tower, nor the sacred grandeur of the Starry Cathedral, but it is the place with the richest cultural atmosphere in Old Town and even the entire Westeros continent.

The gate of the school city is facing the direction of Whispering Bay. There is a tall green sphinx statue on each side of the gate, with a lion body, eagle wings and a snake tail, but with the faces of a man and a woman. They both closed their eyes tightly.

It was as if he was meditating on some thousand-year-old riddle.

Samwell walked into the school city under the leadership of Baelor Hightower. As soon as he entered, he saw a lively small market. There were many vendors setting up stalls, but all they sold were books and maps.

.Many people gathered nearby, queuing up to wait for the assistant bachelor to help them write paperwork.

Continuing to move forward, Samwell also saw a small island with a huge weirwood tree planted on it. The dense branches and leaves almost occupied the entire island. Countless crows were perching on the tree. It looked like a painting with

An oil painting with a strong religious atmosphere.

Crossing a weather-worn wooden bridge, a tower covered with moss and vines appeared in front of them.

Baylor stopped here and said:

"Sir Caesar, my sister Moroya is above, in the room on the left after exiting the stairs on the fourth floor. I have something else to do, so I won't go up with you."

"OK."

After watching Baelor leave, Samwell walked up the stairs alone.

When he came to the door of the room Belle mentioned, he raised his hand and knocked on the door lightly a few times.

After waiting for a while, I heard a deep female voice coming from inside: "Come in."

Samwell pushed open the door and entered.

The smell in the room was a little weird, like raw meat that had been left out for a long time, mixed with disinfectant.

The light was also very dark, and the only window was covered by curtains. It took Samwell a while to get used to it before he could see the furnishings inside clearly.

Then he was startled.

Anyone who enters a room filled with various animal specimens for the first time will have this reaction.

Lizards, giant snakes, brown bears, cheetahs...and all kinds of weird and weird animals that even Samwell couldn't name, were all made into lifelike specimens and displayed on the shelves.

Samwell finally understood why Baelor had just found an excuse to escape and come up alone. The guy obviously didn't want to enter this room.

"Ahem, dear Miss Moroya, I am..."

"I know who you are." Moroya interrupted, "When I got up this morning, a servant told me that you would come to me."

She spoke very quickly, as if she was in a hurry. While speaking, she did not stop moving her hands. She was skillfully using a sharp knife to peel open the belly of a large spider.

Dark green juice covered her hands, looking weird and oozing.

Samwell calmed down and forced a smile:

"In this case, I wonder if Miss Moroya can use the silver mine..."

"It's right there." Moroya interrupted again, raising her thin chin and pointing to the small table in the front row, "That's the book with the white cover. Everything you want is in it. Take a look for yourself, what's there?

If you don’t understand, you can ask me.”

Samwell stepped forward and picked up the book, flipped through it, and after confirming that it was correct, he said:

"Thank you Miss Moroya, then I will take my leave first. If you have any doubts, I will..."

"Okay." Moroya interrupted again, as if she couldn't wait to drive him away.

Can't you just let me finish what I'm saying?

Samwell cursed secretly, turned around and fled immediately.

You can't stay here for long, your sanity will fall away.

After going out and feeling the warmth of the sun again, Samwell quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

"Crazy Girl" Moroya truly deserves her reputation.

While walking outside, Samwell looked through the book given by Moroya.

The book does talk about the knowledge related to silver mining and refining, but it contains a lot of difficult professional terms and esoteric symbols.

Samwell was not in this field in his previous life, and the chemistry knowledge he learned in high school had long been given back to the teacher. It was extremely difficult to read it now.

Just when he felt a headache, he suddenly heard a noise coming from in front of him.

When he raised his head, he saw a lot of people gathered in front of the gate of the academy, seemingly watching something.

Curious, Samwell walked over.

"...Take away your bachelor's title. From now on, you are no longer a member of the school..."

Upon hearing this, Samwell realized that it was actually the city that was expelling the maester.

He squeezed forward a little and finally got a clear look at the unlucky guy who was being expelled.

He was a tall, thin old man with a slight stoop, and his protruding blue eyes were surrounded by wrinkles. He always had a faint smile on his lips, even if he was facing the fate of being deported.

"Qyburn, what else do you want to say?"

Samwell was slightly startled when he heard the name.

Of course he remembered that there was a character with this name in the series, and that person was also a bachelor who was expelled from the city, and later became Queen Cersei's confidant.

When Coburn heard the manager's question, he raised his head slightly, but his eyes were a little confused, and he didn't seem to know what to say.

Another man wearing a doctor's ring couldn't bear it and consoled him:

"Qyburn, from now on you no longer have to abide by the oath of a bachelor, and you are no longer a servant of Westeros. You can resume your original surname."

"Last name?" Qyburn finally spoke, and the smile at the corner of his mouth turned a little sarcastic, "I have been in the school for more than forty years, and no one remembers my last name. Even I have forgotten it."

"But you still have profound knowledge, which is enough for you to live a life without worries about food and clothing. However, remember not to do those immoral experiments again, otherwise the laws of the kingdom will not let you go."

After saying that, the steward and the doctor turned around and returned to the school city, leaving Qyburn in a daze.

Seeing that there was no excitement to watch, the onlookers all left one after another.

Only Samwell walked up to Qyburn and said:

"Bachelor of Science..."

"I am no longer a maester."

"In my mind, bachelor is not an identity, but a respectful title for a knowledgeable person."

Qyburn's face moved slightly, he looked at Samwell seriously and said:

"Young Sir, thank you for your kindness. Is there anything I can do for you?"

The smile on Samwell's face became brighter: "A silver mine was discovered in my territory, and I need a bachelor to help guide the mining and refining. I wonder if you are willing to help me with this?"

"Don't the maesters in your domain know anything about metallurgy?"

"My castle has not been built yet, so the city has not sent any bachelors there."

Coburn frowned: "May I ask, where is your territory?"

Samwell smiled slightly and said: "Let me introduce myself. I am Samwell Caesar, a pioneer knight conferred by the Duke of Metz. I have established a territory on Eagle Beak Island in the Crimson Mountains, with more than 10,000 people under my rule.

civil."

"Red Mountains?" Coburn's frown deepened. His expression softened slightly only when he heard that there were more than 10,000 territorial citizens, but he was still hesitant.

Samwell remembered that in the original work, this scientific research madman was expelled from the school because he conducted experiments on living subjects, so he said:

"Bachelor Coben, as long as you are willing to become my consultant, I can fully fund your research. Of course, it must be research that does not violate the laws of the kingdom."
