V544-Death for money

---

The golden cinnabar could not trap King Si at all. The Tathagata Buddha knew this result. Therefore, the Tathagata secretly ordered the two Arhats, Subduing the Dragon and Subduing the Tiger, in advance, and told them: The demon has great magical powers, and it will be like losing the golden cinnabar.

Just teach Sun Wukong to find the Supreme Lord, and he will definitely be able to capture him with one blow.

When Sun Wukong learned about it, he said: "It's hateful, it's hateful! The Tathagata managed to make a fool of himself! He should have told me at that time, but he couldn't help but teach you to travel far away!"

There is a problem here. Why didn't Tathagata Buddha directly ask Sun Wukong to go to Taishang Laojun? Instead, he lost the gold cinnabar first and then went to Taishang Laojun? Tathagata Buddha had already given two answers:

1 The consequences of directly asking Sun Wukong to find the Supreme Laojun are: The monster will definitely go to Lingshan to fight the Tathagata Buddha!

2. The consequences of looking for Taishang Laojun again after losing the golden cinnabar are: you will surely capture the monster with one blow!

Strange! Two completely opposite results actually depend on whether the "golden sand" is lost!

Let’s see again, how did Taishang Laojun come? Laojun pretended to be confused and chatted with Sun Wukong until he heard that Sun Wukong said that King Si had snatched the golden cinnabar away!

What exactly is it? There is a very detailed description in the original work:

"This sand is originally a ruthless thing. It covers the earth and the sky and takes out monsters just for the demons to invade the righteous path. When A Luo practices the law and shows off his luxury, a pearl will appear in his hand, which will make his eyes dazzled."

Then, the golden sand is not a weapon, nor a weapon of water or fire, but a ruthless thing that can cover the sky and the earth. When it is revealed, it can show off its luxury and dazzle people's eyes.

What is this? This is money! Oh my god! Apart from money, there is nothing in the world that fits these characteristics better!

Tathagata Buddha is very wealthy. His disciples go down the mountain to recite sutras for others. The minimum charge is: three buckets and three liters of rice and gold.

However, he was not satisfied with only operating in the vast territory of India. He wanted to expand, and actually dared to let Gu Yaoqiang and others come to China's territory to do this. Well, Taishang Laojun caught the handle.

, What they caught was a clothes thief, and he was qualified to hold Tang Monk captive. For Taishang Laojun, this makes sense. He felt secretly happy. Now, I tell you that you will not be able to obtain the scriptures. Look.

what would you do!

The Tathagata Buddha's Dharma is indeed boundless. He, who is rich in spiritual difficulties, can see at a glance that this Supreme Laojun is seeing the benefits and letting himself take advantage of them. He is jealous, doesn't he just want money? I will give money! Give money! Give me money!

No? Money can drive away demons. Once the money is passed, the demon will naturally leave.

The Tathagata Buddha asked the eighteen Arhats to open the "treasure house" to get these eighteen grains of "golden sand". We know that really powerful weapons are secretly carried by private persons. Cabinets that can be asked to be opened by servants are usually filled with

Public property, this treasure house opened by the Eighteen Arhats should be a public property safe.

Therefore, when the Arhats were digging sand, there was an article in Journey to the West: "When you lower your head, you will find it is more than three feet deep, and in a moment, it is more than two feet deep." It can be seen that this grain of "golden sand" is equivalent to

One golden mountain, Tathagata Buddha gave Taishang Laojun eighteen golden mountains in one go

This is written in Journey to the West, written in black and white letters. This Journey to the West is based on some historical information from Heaven, so now that I think about it, it makes sense.

It is clearly written in the book that these Arhats are here to show off their luxury according to the decree of the law. It is obvious that they are not here to fight, but to send money. Zhong Sheng (Tathagata) must know that the magic weapon of the big devil can take away anything.

Yes, so he wouldn't be so stupid that he would let the sand flood his house?

Why did Tathagata arrange for Sun Wukong to invite the Supreme Laojun? Because after the battle with the Golden Horn and the Silver Horn, Wukong returned the five treasures to Laojun, and Laojun owed Wukong a huge favor, so it was most appropriate to ask Wukong to go there.

candidates

Taishang Laojun was certainly satisfied with this matter, and he wrote at the end of the story: "I have a grievance against my relatives, and I have been united in the west. I wish that the demons are not afraid of swords and soldiers, but they have no fear of labor, water, and fire. Laojun surrendered, but he turned to the sky, laughing.

Lead the green cow around"

Laojun smiled and led the cow back. What was he laughing at? His cow fought for him. He was not afraid of swordsmanship, and fire and water were useless. He choked Tang Monk and wouldn't let him go. No matter what weapon you use, don't think about it.

! No matter how many tricks you use, don’t even think about it! It won’t work if you don’t take out the money!

Don't you want to preach the scriptures? Well, you share half of my profits. It's up to you to choose whether to get married or to have an enemy. Only if you "equalize things with me" (everyone who sees you has a share, divide it equally, each person has half)

It’s your original wish, so Laojun smiled: Ha-ha-ha--!

The Tathagata paid this pass to Monk Tang. Otherwise, the story of Buddhist scriptures would have ended here!

When watching Journey to the West, one of the most common mistakes is that as soon as the characters appear on the scene, they take it for granted who is more powerful. In fact, this is not the case. Without some game and competition, who knows what the outcome will be.

In the cruel competition between Buddha and Taoism, the two sides finally compromised with each other, and the pattern of coexistence of Buddhism and Taoism was decided. From then on, the two families lived in peace and had no more wars.

This story begins in Chapter 50 of Journey to the West and ends in Chapter 53. This Chapter 53 can be said to be the middle point of the book's hundred chapters. Chapter 53 is the process of obtaining Buddhist scriptures (from Guanyin's journey to Chang'an on orders from Guanyin).

The author has cleverly arranged the middle point of "Seeing the True Suchness When Successful Actions are Full", placing the two ancestors of Taoism and Buddhism in the middle to show that each has half of it and is equally divided.

It's like playing chess. If the generals of both sides don't meet, it's a draw.

There is no problem with Taoism and Buddhism. However, Zhong Sheng’s mastery of Buddhism is not complete. There is also a deputy Buddha (Hou Zhongfei). Hou Zhongfei worked with Zhong Sheng in some of the work before the time travel.

There are differences in concepts and methods of doing things, and there are differences in personality.

After time travel, Zhong Sheng was favored by the emperor and became a Tathagata Buddha. While he was waiting for Zhongfei, he only became a Buddhist deputy-Maitreya Buddha.

This position is called: Donglai Buddha (from the Chinese territory in the east), and he is also the "Deputy Buddha" (the ancestor among Buddhas, refers to the emperor among Buddhas), because he is also called the "Future Buddha", so,

This has become an open secret. Maitreya Buddha is the next Buddha appointed by the Buddhist sect. He is the future successor of this leadership team.

So, what is the relationship between Zhongfei (Deputy Buddha) and the emperor at this time? You can use your imagination and try your best to guess.

According to Journey to the West:

The yellow-browed boy who pretended to be the Tathagata in Xiaoxitian was not only extremely powerful, but also extremely daring. He dared to become the Tathagata, which shows that in his mind, he both worships the Tathagata and does not take the Tathagata into consideration.

On the other hand, this guy must regard himself as the leader of the third generation Buddhist sect!

Huang-browed Tong'er said to Sun Wukong: I know you have some tricks, so I want to make a bet with you. If you can beat me, I will let you go to the west. If you can't beat me, I will kill you all.

This is the superficial meaning of what Huang-browed Tong'er said, but the truth is exactly the opposite!

The truth is: If Sun Wukong really can't fight him, he will let him go! If Sun Wukong is more capable than him, it will be troublesome! You know, the Maitreya Buddha is actually hiding nearby and watching!

What exactly is Huang Mei Tong'er's method? Let's take a look:

1) Sun Wukong + Twenty-eight Constellations + Five Directions went up to fight together, and were captured by the yellow-browed boy at once, tied up, and thrown to the ground. Then, a banquet was set up in front of them, and they ate from morning until dark.

Take a break and sleep (this guy loves to show off)

2) After Wukong managed to escape, the yellow-browed boy chased him and started another gang fight. This time he also added two helpers, Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng. Bajie asked him where his luggage was? Wukong said: "Old Sun's life is almost inevitable, and he also said

What luggage!" When the yellow-browed child took out the treasure, the traveler shouted: "It's not good! Let's go!" He didn't care about the crowd, he somersaulted all the way, and jumped up into the sky. It seemed that he was frightened and became a frightened bird.

, as soon as there is any movement, run so far! Hide to the ninth floor first and then watch.

3) Wukong invited two groups of masters to conquer demons and catch monsters, but they were all easily captured by Huang-browed Tong'er.

It can be seen that compared with the yellow-browed boy, Sun Wukong is not at the same level! In the end, Sun Wukong really had no choice but to cry in a deserted place.

At this time, Maitreya Buddha came. Note: Maitreya Buddha came uninvited. This behavior is relatively rare in the entire Journey to the West. His appearance now confirms that Sun Wukong is not the opponent of Huang Mei Tong'er!

So, why did the people in Xiaoxitian let them go when they saw that Sun Wukong was not very powerful? This actually reflects the internal struggle of the Buddhist Western Paradise.

Maitreya Buddha is the Buddha from the East, that is, the "Deputy Buddha". Because he is also called the "Future Buddha", it has become an open secret. Maitreya Buddha is the next Buddha determined by the Buddhist sect. He

He is the future successor of this leadership team

This short, fat, smiling Vice-Buddha must have boundless magic power, and he should not be able to do anything like Tathagata, but after all, he is not a direct line of Tathagata, and his sphere of influence is also small.

Now, Tathagata has given the Buddhist sutra collection team two indicators for becoming a Buddha. Will Maitreya Buddha have any objections? Guanyin, Tang Monk, and Sun Wukong have formed a new and powerful force around Tathagata, and Tang Monk is the direct disciple of Tathagata. This will

Wouldn't it pose a threat to his successor?

Therefore, Maitreya Buddha arranged for his boy and Sun Wukong to meet each other. After comparing them, they did not pose a threat, so he let them pass.

The yellow-browed boy has already achieved enlightenment, but is he the Buddha? Or the Bodhisattva? Or the Arhat? He claims to be the Yellow-browed Old Buddha, which may be false. Maitreya said he is just a

A child may have an element of weakness and inferiority. From a functional point of view, the child of Maitreya Buddha should be equivalent to the Bodhisattva under Tathagata Buddha. Therefore, the yellow-browed child should be a Bodhisattva, or a Bodhisattva who enjoys Buddha-level treatment.

Furthermore, judging from the words of the Huang-browed boy, "I'll beat you to death, and wait until I go to see the Tathagata to collect the scriptures, it will turn out to be true to China." This means that he has already formed a competitive relationship with Guanyin Bodhisattva, the person in charge of the Buddhist scriptures. If Huang-mei

The boy is already a Buddha, so there is no need to compete with Guanyin for business.

Now, the yellow-browed boy is probably thinking, what tricks do you, Sun Wukong, have to get in front of me! (Everyone knows that Sun Wukong can become a Buddha after learning Buddhist scriptures.) So, he wants to beat Sun Wukong.

vent your anger

Think about it, you have worked in a company for millions of years, and in the end, a new person comes and sits one level above you. Who would be convinced???

The conflict between Maitreya and Tang Seng, and the conflict between the yellow-browed boy and Sun Wukong, are essentially internal conflicts over positions, rights and status, which cannot be resolved by "equality". If the two sides are evenly matched, then the conflict will never be resolved.

Relief, only when one party completely overwhelms the other will the conflict be eliminated in disguise.

You see, when Sun Wukong was no match for the yellow-browed boy, Maitreya Buddha smiled and came uninvited no matter how late or early it was. How could it be such a coincidence?

Maitreya Buddha in Journey to the West, although he has very few scenes, and although he is always smiling, we can still appreciate the ruthlessness of this second-in-command deputy Buddha, which is super powerful! Just a few simple words, that taste

Son, the style is so awesome! Please see:

1) Sun Wukong could not defeat the yellow-browed boy. When he was crying, Maitreya Buddha came: "Wukong, do you recognize me?" When the traveler saw it, he quickly bowed down and said: "Where did the Buddha from the east go? I lost my way and escaped. All sins.

All sin!"

Sun Wukong himself said, I am a good man and I only worship three people: Buddha in the West, Guanyin in the South China Sea, Master Liangjieshan saved me. Even when I met the Jade Emperor, I only said hello and sang a promise. Now, he worships Maitreya.

Buddha, and he quickly bowed down

Sun Wukong once worshiped the nine-tailed fox, but he was pretending to be a little demon as a last resort, and it does not count as sincerely worshiping the nine-tailed fox. He worshiped Guanyin Tang Monk, which was a blessing of liberation, and it was not considered cruel. He worshiped Tathagata because Tathagata was cruel!

What about worshiping Maitreya? Maitreya is a person who has nothing to do with him, but he has to bow down quickly! This can only show that Maitreya is as ruthless as Tathagata!

Maitreya is a Buddha-level figure, so of course Sun Wukong cannot be careless.

2) Wukong said: "Where is the Buddha coming from the east? The disciples have escaped. Ten thousand sins, ten thousand sins!"

Why don't we say disrespect, but "failure to avoid"? Failure to avoid is a sin that can be seen. The rule in the Buddhist organization is: when you see a big leader, you should first "avoid". Failure to avoid is a sin. If you can't avoid it, it will be a sin.

In this case, it’s time to bow down

How awesome! This Buddhist organization systematically ensures the personal worship of the leader by subordinates!

Because there are very few plays about Maitreya, this paragraph must be read particularly carefully. According to the original text, this is the only way to understand it!

3) Maitreya designed Wukong to get into the belly of the yellow-browed boy. The yellow-browed boy rolled in pain and burst into tears. He just shouted: "Someone save me!" Maitreya appeared in his true form, laughing and shouting: "Evil

Damn! Do you recognize me?"
