I am a Scout and very active in on-campus activities. I will never miss any camping project, so I will spend the night outdoors from time to time. Sometimes the camping place is very remote and there is no one around for miles, but that only increases my
of excitement.
During one school holiday, we held another outdoor camping project, and this time the camp was chosen near a cemetery not far from the countryside. As Scouts, of course we didn’t care about this, and we didn’t deliberately think about the negative consequences.
.When I was reading the newspaper on the morning of the camping trip, I saw the news that a car accident had just occurred at the site, and it was a fatal accident. A couple was killed on the spot.
From the photos, it looked like this was really a horrific car accident. I felt a little scared and wondered why it was such a coincidence.
On the morning of the first day, all the scouts arrived, and we all took a big bus to our destination. On the bus, everyone was talking and laughing without mentioning it, and some of the scouts didn't know yet.
After arriving, we started to set up the camp and worked all day to complete all the work. It was almost evening and the only people around were quiet. I had counted the number of people before and there were sixteen in total. So.
During dinner, only the right amount was prepared. Sixteen people sat scattered around the camp to eat. Everything was normal. But then two scouts suddenly ran out to take food to the captain. The captain was surprised. It was obvious that he had already eaten.
It was distributed to everyone. Why did these two people have no food? I asked them where they had been just now. They both said in unison that before eating, they saw a couple waving their hands and asking them to help push the cart. They enthusiastically stepped forward to help, but strangely
Unfortunately, when he walked to the front, he found that the couple was gone, so he turned back to eat. The captain felt something was wrong at this time, and looked at each of the Scouts eating, but saw an unusual pair of "Scouts"
The group was eating at a distance. They were so frightened that their faces were blue and their lips were white and they couldn't even eat anymore. In order not to panic everyone, they had to ask everyone to finish eating quickly and go to bed. They didn't dare to look at the "scouts" anymore.
Why did the captain use the word "unusual" to describe the pair of "Scouts"? Later he told us that it was because he saw that one of them was a girl that night, but all the Scouts in our group were boys.
